Next up is Trish Stratus & Tiffany Stratton vs. Nia Jax & Candice LaRae is second.
It says a lot Tiffany got the final entrance, even after Trish Stratus in Toronto. Lots of Tiffy Time signs.
They noted on announcing that this was the first time Trish's children have seen her wrestle live.
Solid action to kick things off. Nia gained control on Trish for some time. Candice dropkicked Stratus as she was held aloft by Nia. Candice worked over Trish, who battled back and finally made the hot tag.
Stratton hit the ring hard and nailed a handspring elbow in the corner on LaRae that made The Great Muta smile. She nailed a spinebuster on Nia, which looked insanely impressive and then hit a double stomp on both. Stratton was knocked off the top but still hit a belly to back suplex on Nia. Lots of showcasing Tiff's strength tonight. Trish tagged in but Nia played the badass antagonist, taking out everyone. She went to the ropes but Trish stunned her with a kick and nailed a top rope bulldog. LaRae went for a moonsault but Trish moved and Nia got wiped out by her own partner. Tiffy Time as she nails a moonsault and pinned Jax.
Solid tag match that was enjoyable and certainly made Toronto happy. WWE is onto something with Tiffany for sure.
They showed Travis Scott arriving.
The Rock seeking his answer from Cody Rhodes is up next. No, it's not. WWE switched up the planned lineup.
Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn in an Unsanctioned Match is next.
They made it clear WWE absolves themselves of all responsibility for this match. No DQ. No Countout.
Referee Rod Zapata is wearing street clothes and not WWE gear since the bout is unsanctioned. I love that attention to detail.
They exhanged punches. Owens got the better of it and snapped him across the top, then hit a back senton. They battled to the floor. WWE has the lights turned low. Fans chanted for tables. Zayn tossed chairs into the ring. Unfortunately, that armed Owens, who began beating him with one. Sami gained control and now Owens was getting beaten across the back. Zayn pulled out a hockey stick, which got a huge pop, and beat Owens with it.
Finally, the crowd got what they wanted - a table! Sami set it up but took so long, it allowed Owens to blast him. He used the hockey stick to rip at Zayn's mouth. Owens pulled out another table and stacked it up the way The Public Enemy used to in ECW back in the day. Hey champppppppp! Zayn nailed him with the hockey stick and they battled out into the crowd. Zayn nailed him with a trash can and stuck it over Owens' head. They battled back to the floor from a stairway. Zayn nailed a back suplex and slammed Owens through a table, then powerbombed him through another. Toronto was loving this.
As they battled back towards the ring, Owens was hit over and over with a trash can lid. Owens taking a lot of punishment. As they returned, Owens dinged him with the ring bell. He smashed Zayn with one of the announcing montiors and tossed him back into the ring. Entertaining brawl so far. Zayn was pummeling Owens with fists in the corner but Kevin slipped under and shoved him off the corner. Zayn flipped over and crashed down through the two tables outside. It looked great. They played up that Zayn was going into the bout with a hurt neck and this probably exacerbated it. Owens hit a Fisherman's Buster through a chair. Well, THAT certainly would exacerbate it!
Owens covered him but NO, Sami kicked out. He was out but swinging at Kevin, like a valiant babyface should. Zayn fired back and nailed a full nelson suplex through a chair. The crowd lost it and chanted "Holy sh**!" Zayn went for the Heluva Kick but Owens pulled the referee in front. He was KO'd. Owens nailed a powerbomb and second referee Charles Robinson hit the ring, but only counted two. Owens wasn't happy about that and laid out Lil' Naitch for that!
Another official hit the scene to help as Owens pulled another table out from underneath. He was placed on a table but recovered and FLUNG THE SH** out of a chair at Owen's face while Kevin was on the top. He went for a superplex but Owens turned it into a driver through the table. The crowd lost their mind for this. Some of the reactions for the big moves were larger in volume than the ring entrances were.
Several officials were trying to tell Owens to end it, but he wasn't listening. He kept beating on Sami. He kept telling Zayn it was all his fault but Zayn scored a Helluva Kick and fought to cover him, only for Owens to kick out again. Man, they are earning their money tonight!
Zayn retrieved several chairs and finally a barbed wire chair. Fans chanted ECW. ECW ran Canada ONCE by the way. Zayn smashed Owens over the back with it faster than you could say Sabu. He opened the chair up and they began brawling. Zayn nailed a drop toehold into the barbed wire chair. Owens began screaming in agony. Zayn nailed the Blue Thunder Bomb onto the bared wire chair but SOMEHOW, Owens kicked out.
Owens somehow came back and nailed a Pop-Up powerbomb on Zayn, who bounced out of the ring. Owens wrapped a chair around Zayn's neck and drove him into the ring post, then repeated the feat. Zayn was powerbombed across the ring apron. Several WWE Producers tried to talk sense into Owens. He shoved Shane Helms. Zayn tried to fight back but was powerbombed again on the apron. He finally covered Sami, who went down fighting, for the pin.
Hell of a brawl. I don't ever invoke this name unless it means something, but Terry Funk would have approved of this. They told a hell of a physical story and Zayn's selling as the doomed babyface who still refused to say die was great.
Security tried to walk Owens out but he laid them out and pulled the safety mat off the floor. He was going to lay out Sami but Randy Orton (who was obviously well hidden as no one we had spoken to earlier today had seen him) showed up and faced off with Owens. PWInsiderElite.com had reported Orton was slated to return shortly last week. Orton screamed that Owens tried to break his neck. They brawled and Orton laid him out. There's a Wrestlemania match, folks. Orton stood over him with the chair, then dropped it and set up for the old punt kick. As he charged, all the officialds hit the ring and security ran Owens out of the building. Great return and tease. Toronto chanted for Randy. He killed a few security guards with RKOs.
