Liv Morgan defends her Title against Rhea Ripley with Dom in a shark cage over the ring.
DDP is in the crowd with Mickie James and Scott Steiner.
Up in the suite, Chelsea Green shows up. She still smells from The Dumpster Match. Chelsea said let's go Piper. Piper decided she wanted to stay.
Dom and Liv arrived in the low rider. They are selling them, I assume as models.
Rhea is out next, to a big pop. Rhea has Dom Mysterio toilet paper. They sell it on WWE.com. I am not making that up. Good Lord.
Rhea was in control for the first few minutes but on the floor, Liv turned it around when she went for the bad knee. She then went to work on it, neutralizing the former champ.
While Liv was working over Rhea's leg, and now shoulder, the crowd was letting Dom know that he sucks.
Liv hit a Sunset Flip Bomb from the apron that sent Rhea into the barricade. Back in the ring, Liv a Code Breaker from the second rope. Liv has gotten so good.
It was all Liv until she tried to do 3 Amigos. She got two but Rhea came back on the third.
Just then, Dom opened the door of the cage. Rhea sees it's open. Rhea did the Eddy shimmy to Dom and then hit a frog splash for two. She has her in a Cloverleaf but Liv made the ropes.
Rhea is throwing Liv around on the floor under Dom and the cage. He is yelling for Liv to fight as Rhea hit a Rip Tide. Dom was leaning out of the cage when he fell. A chain around his leg kept him from hitting the ground.
Rhea told the ref she had unfinished business and she would come back to Liv and finish that in a minute. Bad move.
She got a kendo stick. She said happy birthday to me and beat him up with the stick. All of the sudden, she was attacked. It's the returning Raquel Rodriguez. She hit a Tejada Bomb on Rhea as the match got thrown out. Liv retains. She is very happy to see her old friend.
I didn't think Rhea would win and it's pretty clear that they didn't want her to take a pin, so they threw it out. It looks like Rhea will now have to go through Raquel before she can get to Liv again. That makes sense because Liv is so good as the champ. She should keep the belt. I didn't like the finish but the rest of the match was really good.
Time for our Main Event:
Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes take on Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu.
The heels are out first. They explained that Tonga Loa and Tama Tonga aren't here because of the abuse they took on Smackdown last night. Good booking!
A college band is out there playing Cody's theme. It took me a while to figure out whose song they were playing. I didn't love that but hey, I am old. Why is the champion coming out first. I don't like that,
Obviously Roma is next. He has a live band too. His song is much more recognizable.
Cole has been dropping history all night and he just dropped Ole Anderson turning on Dusty Rhodes at the Omni. Love it!
Cody and Roman took a minute to decide who would start against Jacob. They went with Cody. After a short time, Solo came in, so Roman did too. HUGE pop for Roman.
The crowd is chanting FU Solo. He tagged in. Cody paused. The crowd chanted OTC. Roman reached for the tag and the crowd went nuts. Cody made the tag. They are taking it nice and slow, because they can and they know how to work.
The heels did a cool bit where Jacob came and Roman faced off with him but Solo was still legal so he attacked Roman from behind and went to work, with help from Jason.
Roman actually took a bit of a beating from Solo and Jacob before making the hot tag to Roman. Cody cleaned house until he let Solo distract him and then he ate a Samoan Drop from Fatu. The heels worked over Cody for a while after that.
After a long beat down, Cody was about to tag Roman when Fatu pulled Roman down to the floor. The timing was perfect.
Corey is selling that Jacob isn't a savage, he's a smart guy who likes to destroy people.
The beat down continued on Cody until Jacob went for a swanton and Cody got the legs up. Hot tag and in comes Roman to work on Solo. He is playing to the fans in between and they LOVE him.
Roman just hit a Crucifix. Roman is showing some hops!
Roman was lining up for the Superman when Jacob grabbed him from behind and they did double kicks that looked great. Solo came off the top but Cody made the save. Cody reversed Jacob into the steps and cleaned up the announce table but Jacob reversed. Jacob charged but went through the barricade. Jacob got up angry. He is a beast. Cody got him on the announce table as Solo and Roman were down. Cody went to the top, saluted Roman and splashed Jacob through the table. It's Solo and Roman now.
Fans are chanting that it's awesome and they are spot on!
He hit a Superman and the fans went nuts. He was going for another when the Tongans distracted him. Solo hit a spear and got a two count.
There is a guy in a hoodie. Jimmy Uso is back. He took out the Tongans. Solo is shocked. Roman hit him with a Spear, 1-2-3. Jimmy came in the ring and bowed on one leg to his real Tribal Chief.
Roman was kind of stunned. Jimmy said you da man. He has a They Not The Ones shirt on. Jimmy hugged him. Roman hugged him back. Great moment.
Then Roman turned and there is Cody with The Title. Roman nodded his head. He said something and turned. He nodded again as he left the ring with Jimmy. Cody smiled as they left.
And then, the Tongans and Solo attacked him. Jimmy said you gave him your word Use. Roman watched. As Roman made the move to go Jimmy was off like a rocket. He seems really happy to be back. Welcome Use. They ran off the heels and Roman was next to the belt. He picked it and looked at it. He then gave it to Cody. Jimmy clapped. Cody raised it up. And just then.....
IF YOU SMELL.....
The Rock came out with his Title belt from the last time we saw him. Cody is in the ring with Roman and Jimmy. Rock puts up one finger, two fingers, three fingers and we go off the air.
I was not expecting that, I won't lie. What a great end to the match, just great, great stuff. As I told my brother, the opener and the main event was exactly why I love the wrestling business. That stuff is as good as it gets, literally.
Overall, another strong show from WWE.
