Peacock sucks on Roku. I had it paused and they lost my place. Luckily I backed it up on Apple TV. Sheesh.
LA Knight then went for his first WWE Title against Logan Paul. They brawled a long time before the bell even rang. Once they got in there they were off and Paul took the worst of it on the floor.
Knight dominated when they got in the ring. But as Paul was coming back the crowd serenaded him with F Bombs.
Knight came back and it evened up for s second. He is going to fight from underneath here.. Oh Paul has on Cleveland Browns colors.
It's humid there for sure. You can see it in the sweat. Paul is so good, especially for someone as new to the business as he is. and as I wrote that he jumped up and did a springboard moonsault to the floor. It was awesome and the fans chanted that he still sucks. Paul hit the KO punch with the steel plate hand but Knight kicked out at three or maybe 3.1.
Out of nowhere Knight jumped to the top and did a superlex. DAMN! That was sweet. This is great. Anyone who thinks LA can't go ain't saying that now.
Paul raked the eyes and went to his posse for a gimmick but LA took him out and then beat up two of Paul's posse. Paul used that to come back and attack. MGK, whoever that is, gave Paul brass knux.
He got a glancing shot on Knight but when he went to finish it off, he ate BFT instead. New champ, LA KNIGHT!
Great match and the booking delivered. The fans loved it and were chanting his name after the finish. Seriously, I have heard people question if Knight can go. He showed he can. And props to Paul for doing what he always does.
As the sun is setting, Bayley will try and get past the hurdle that is Nia Jax (and maybe Tiff).
Bayley is on the attack early. But, it didn't last long. Nia even rubbed it in, literally with her rear end.
Bayley kept firing up, hitting hope spots...and then some. She is so good. Cole said something to the effect that she is underappreciated. He's right.
Bayley locked on the Guillotine she beat Nia with in 2015. Nia got out and hit a rolling senton and a legdrop for a two. Nia missed a leg drop from the second rope. Bayley hit the Bayley to Belly for a two.
Nia is so much better now than she was last time. It's night and day.
Nia got a two on the Annihilator and she was shocked that Bayley kicked out.
Nia started taunting Bayley about calling her clumsy and reckless. Just then Nia charged and ate post when Bayley moved.
Bayley did a tope but Nia caught her and dumped on the ground. The champ is in trouble when they got back in the ring. Nia went up top but Bayley popped up and powerbombed her off of the second rope. DAMN! Holy Shit chant breaks out. The fans are into this now. Bayley hit the Savage Elbow but Nia kicked out at two. And just then, Tiffy's music hit and out she came with the case. Before she could cash in Bayley knocked her off the apron. Bayley jumped into a powerbomb, then another. Nia hit two Annihilators and won the Title. Afterward Tiff celebrated with Nia like it was a plan. But was it? Stay tuned.
Grest match. Nia has been so good on this run. Bayley showed what a stud she is. I want to see where the stuff with the champ and Tiff goes.
After the match Nia hugged Ata Maivia, Rock's mom. Is her son there?
