They just aired a commercial for people who have problems getting a hard on. I am not making this up. This isn’t Vince’s WWE anymore.
Sami Zayn defends the IC Title against Chad Gable.
Chad is out first with his Otis and Maxine. Sami is next and he's over. The fans are singing his song.
The fans are singing Sami Zayn to the Give It Up song, like they used to do for Tyler Bate. Yeah, I was an NXT UK nerd, I confess.
Now they are chanting that they want Otis while Sami and Chad feel each other out early on.
Sami went to the floor and Gable went back in the ring. Sami faced off with Otis while Chad watched.
When Sami came in Gable went to work on him. Once in control, he yelled at Otis.
The next few minutes saw Chad work over Sami. The crowd chanted for Otis so Chad came to the floor and told him to focus.
Sami is selling his left arm but he made a comeback. He clotheslined Chad to the floor and then Sami wiped him out.
Chad got a two when he nailed Sami with a dropkick as he came off of the top rope. Sami got a two with a Michinoku Driver out of nowhere. He is selling the arm and Gable is doing what he can to work on it. Chad got a 2.5 with a diving headbutt from the top.
Sami got a two from a suplex where Chad landed on his head. That wasn't pretty at all. He seems OK thank God.
Now they are throwing hands. This feels like a fight, in the best way.
Chad locked on a Crossface out of nowhere but Sami reversed it and got one of his own. Gable got out and put on an Ankle Lock. Sami was fighting hard to not tap. He reached for the ropes but Chad pulled him back. Sami hit a desperation roll up for two. Sami is selling the arm and leg now. He blasts Sami with forearms and then asked Otis if he was ready. He went to ringside and grabbed the IC Title and gave it to Maxine, then went back in the ring. He wanted Maxine to blast Sami with it but she couldn't do it. He yelled at her and Sami came in with a Helluva Kick but Chad moved. Sami stopped himself but Gable attacked and got a two. Then he went to the floor and got in Maxine's face. Otis got between them. Sami came flying out of the ring but Otis moved Chad. Chad did a moonsault on both of them on the floor. Gable quickly went for a moonsault but Sami moved and then hit an Exploder for a two.
They went to the floor. Gable locked on the ankle lock on the floor. Sami kicked out and Gable went into Maxine's leg, taking her out. Otis is not happy about that. Sami is on the floor selling the leg so that Otis can attack Sami. What will he do? He raised his hand and Maxine yelled for him. He went over and lifted her up. Gable yelled at him but Otis took her to the back anyway. Helluva Kick, Sami wins! The story continues, which I like because it's been a lot of fun. The drama has added so much to the feud. I enjoyed the hell out of it.
Sami left while Gable was in the ring on his knees staring darts at him.
Oh yeah, it has to be really warm in that building. Lots of sweat to be seen.
HHH announced our two nights of SummerSlam for 2026. What about next year?
Cathy Kelly interviewed the new tag champs. Good for them.
Bayley defends her Women's Title against Piper Niven.
Piper is out first, with Chelsea Green. Then. the champ. Cole said it's Bayley's birthday.
Piper got a big pop on her intro. Bayley got a mixed reaction, as you would expect. But then, they sang the Bayley song.
Bayley got tossed to the floor, where Chelsea slapped her. Bayley went to get in her face but Piper stopped her. Chelsea then got in Charles Robinson's face and got sent to the back. How does Charles Robinson still look the same way that he did 30 years ago?
Now that Piper is on her own I hope that they turn her loose and let her show the fans what she can do. Looks like that is the plan as Piper destroyed the champ with a running senton from the apron to the floor. Then she hit another in the ring for a two. She is in control.
Bayley managed to drop Piper on her head. She rolled to the floor. Bayley hit a tope but then Piper drove the champ into the ring. Back in the ring, Bayley started coming back. Bayley is so smooth. She got a two after an elbow off of the top.
But then she ran into a chokeslam. Piper followed with a senton, getting a two. The crowd really wants her to win here. They are actually booking Bayley when she does things. The champ hit a Bayley to Belly and had her covered but Chelsea came out in a lucha mask and distracted the ref so Bayley only got a two. Piper got a Piper Driver out of nowhere for a two count. Piper is showing that she can go!
On the floor Bayley charged Niven and got WIPED OUT. Back in the ring though Bayley managed to hit a counter of a Crucifix Driver and roll her up to retain her Title.
Bayley left the ring and gave a nod of respect to Piper.
This went exactly how I hoped it would. I didn't think Piper would win, and gave it no chance after they flipped the tag belts, so I wanted to see Piper come out a lot stronger than she did going in and that happened. I can't say enough about how great Bayley is. She is a Swiss Army Knife for WWE. Whatever they need, she does. Cole said she is a first ballot Hall Of Famer. He's right.
