RHEA DELIVERS TO HER FELLOW AUSSIES, THE MEN ARE ON NOW SO RHEA GETS TO HEADLINE, TAG TITLE MATCH MEETS THE STANDARD OF THE OPENER, PSYCHOTICALLY AWESOME WOMEN'S CHAMBER MATCH KICKS OFF THE SHOW - FULL 2 AM IS WAY TOO EARLY FOR AN OLD MAN LIKE ME TO GET UP SO I DOING THIS VIA DELAY ELIMINATION CHAMBER BLOG

By Dave Scherer on 2024-02-24 13:29:00

As the headline says, for the first time that I can ever remember, I am blogging a PPV after it already aired.  2 AM is just way too early for me to get up (or late to stay up), so here we go.

I had done a good job of avoiding spoilers and then YouTube sent a push to my phone saying Drew had punched his ticket to WrestleMania.  Well, I guess I know who wins the men’s chamber match.  Oh well.  Thanks to everyone who didn’t reach out, as I requested, until I watched the show.  I appreciate it.

I was kind of curious if Peacock would have the show archived since I had never watched this way before.  When I went to watch, there it was.

Pre-Show

The pre-show match had The Kabuki Warriors defending their tag belts against Candace LaRae and home country girl Indi Hartwell.  The pop that the challengers got was cool and I am sure was very special to Indi.  I don’t expect a Title change here but hopefully it will be a special moment for Hartwell in her home country.

The bell rang and with Indi starting, the crowd went nuts and chanted her name.  Cool.

Candace took a lot of abuse before finally making the hot tag to Indi, who came in and cleaned house.

The finish came after Indi was helping Candace walk the ropes.  Kairi tripped Indi, which led to Candace getting crotched.  Kairi hit the Elbow and the match was over.  The crowd, obviously, was not happy but the finish was predictable and what it should be.  It was a good match to start the show.

After the match, Indi helped up partner.  The crowd popped huge and chanted her name.

The commercial after the match was for a Gillette pubic hair razor.  Alrighty then.

Women’s Chamber Match

We are opening with the women’s Chamber match, the winner gets Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania.

Bianca Belair is out first, to a big pop. She’s in Pod 1.  Corey and Cole keep talking about how hot it is there.  I think I would rather start the match than be locked into an enclosed pod that will probably heat up after the doors closed.  Raquel Rodriguez is out next.  Also solid pop.  This crowd is live so talking about pops will be a moot point unless something changes.  Pod 3 will house Tiffany Stratton.  She just has STAR written all over her.  And Pod 4 goes to Liv Morgan.  Becky Lynch and Namoi will start things off.  Becky came out last and the crowd was ready for her.

Cole is talking about the number of winners from the number one spot, then the number two spot.  They are the same thing to me, just like 1 and 2 are the same at The Royal Rumble.

There is a loud Let’s Go Becky chant.  I think we know who Perth is behind.  They are trading moves early on as they wait to see who comes out next.  There’s only one heel in the match so it should be interesting to see how they book this.

The crowd just chanted for that only heel screaming “We Want Tiffy”.

We have our first use of the chains with Naomi using her legs to drive Becky’s head into it.

As the countdown started the fans again chanted for Tiffany, and they got her.  Big pop from the crowd.  She came in on fire.  She has freaky awesome natural skills.  It’s easy to believe that she was a gymnast.

Tiff was in control almost the whole time until Liv came in at number four.  I gotta tell ya, I always love the overhead shot where the lights flash on each pod until the next entrant’s door opens.  It’s just cool.

Liv went right after Tiff, throwing her into the pods.  It quickly turned into every woman for herself.

Becky git the Becksploder and then used the chain to put the Disarmer on.  Tiff powered out.  All of the women are kicking ass.  Naomi just hit a Naomi hot a neck breaker on Liv from the top of the pod but Tiff rolled her up.

Naomi has been eliminated.

Tiff is definitely showing that she belongs, for sure.

At number five in comes Raquel.  Bianca will be last.

Raquel is slamming Tiff into the chains, headfirst.  The crowd isn’t happy.  They like Tiff.

Liv and Raquel are facing off, no friends in the Chamber.  Now all three women are working on Raquel since she is the biggest one in the match.

And finally, Bianca is in the match.  Cole said we have had the most winners from this spot.  Bianca went right after Tiffany.

Bianca cleared house and then faced off with Raquel.  Raquel ate a DDT outside and got a two count.  Tiff was working over Raquel on the top rope when Liv came off the pod and wiper her out.  Becky and Tiff were on the top of the pod when Tiff threw Becky onto Raquel on the floor.  Tiff tapped the imaginary watch and did a Swanton from the pod onto Bianca, Raquel and Becky.  Freakin’ awesome.  Tiff is showing the world how great she is and the crowd thinks it’s awesome.

Liv managed to drive Tiff down face first from the top rope.

Tiffany Stratton has been eliminated.

The crowd LOUDLY booed.

Becky came up on Raquel from behind locked on the arm bar.  But she powered out and hit a double Tejada bomb on Becky and Liv. Bianca then caught with the KOD.

Raquel Rodriguez has been eliminated.

Bianca hit a moonsault on Liv and Becky but they kicked out at two.

Liv tried to do a rana outside on Bianca but she got caught and slammed into the chains. Liv did a great groaning yell as she smashed the metal.

Becky has been in from the start and she’s still fighting.  Will she go the distance?

The sun is going down.  I bet the wrestlers are happy about that.

Liv hit Becky with a superplex and Bianca did the 450 but Becky got her knees up.  All three women are down.

Bianca and Liv got up first.  She went from the KOD but Liv slipped through.  Bianca went for the KOD but Becky got out of it.  Liv came up from behind and pinned Bianca.

Bianca Belair has been eliminated.

Becky went right after Liv and hit the Manhandle Slam to win the match.

Becky climbed the chains and celebrated with the crowd, who loved the finish.

Becky will face the winner of Rhea Ripley and Nia Jax at WrestleMania (and let’s be honest, it will be Rhea).

This was beyond fantastic.  I have nothing but the highest praise for all six women.  They killed it in there.
