Peacock premium aired a long video feature on Bayley while they were on commercials for the other viewers. It ran through her history as a character and ended on her heading to Wrestlemania. In the past, similar videos were pretty generic so this was a change.
Judgment Day vs. Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate is next. Unless something goes drastically wrong, this should be pretty damn great in the ring.
Dom got a ton of heat taking the mic from Mike Rome to introduce Judgment Day himself.
Dunne and Bate attacked Dom and knocked him from the ring. Dom was then hit with a moonsault. Australia loved that. Great way to kick things off with a bang.
Dunne and Bate controlled Finn Balor early.
Michael Cole and Corey Graves namedropped The Fabulous Kangaroos AND Outback Jack.
Judgement Day took control, working over Bate. Dom interfered. The crowd was chanting all sorts of mean things to Dom. Bate tried to fight from underneath and took out Finn with a leaping uppercut. Dunne made the hot tag and cleaned house with leg lariats and enziguiris. He hit a moonsault to the floor. Dunne and Bate hit some nice double team moves to score near falls on Balor.
Priest KILLED Balor with a big clothesline, turning him inside out for a cloe two count. He talked trash on Bate, who fired back but was the victim of Balor hitting a blind tag. He was once again double-teamed. This has been a good back and forth tag bout. Dom gets involved once too many times and is tossed out of ringside.
The challengers maintain control and hit a double Tyler Driver on Balor for near falls. Great match. Lots of great physical action.
Did I just hear Corey Graves name droop Kenta Kobashi?
Bate and Tyler worked over Priest, hitting a double dropkick in the corner. They went for a move off the ropes but Balor tried to hold onto Priest. That allowed Priest to nail a double chokeslam off the ropes and for Balor to hit a Coup de Grace for the pinfall on Dunne.
This was a HELL of a Tag Team match. Just great action all the way through as they told a good story, augmented by the Dom antics. Everyone stepped up here.
They showed the Men's Elimination Chamber competitors warming up.
They went to a video feature on Cody Rhodes' issues with Roman Reigns and The Rock.
Next up was the Grayson Waller Effect. Austin Theory gave him a big introduction. Big pop for Waller in his home country.
UFC fighter Tye Tuivasa was at ringside and shared a drink with Waller.
Waller said today might be the greatest of his life. I'd believe that.
Waller introduced WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins. It was sing along night.
Cody Rhodes was introduced. Massive reaction.
HUGE pyro display.
There's no way this doesn't end with Theory eating everyone's finishers, right?
Waller wanted to know who Seth wanted to fight at Wrestlemania. Rollins said he was days away from being medically cleared to compete.
Waller stirred the pot about Cody trying too "take away' Rock vs. Roman Reigns at Wrestlemania. Cody said he was a fan of The Rock. He asked if there were any Cody Crybabies here tonight. He brought up "stepping out" of the Wrestlemania main event and then stepping back in. Waller said Rock was the People's Champ. Cody said to be that, you have to actually be around the people.
Cody said Seth had an announcement, but he has one himself. He said that Rock slapped him, but he's fighting Roman at Wrestlemania. Cody said that until then, he's wide open and challenged The Rock to face him any time, any place one on one. Rollins joined Cody and said it was time to cut the head off the snake once and for all. He said with the Bloodline, there's no such thing as one on one, so Cody won't be fighting that battle alone. We are back to the Wrestlemania 1 Tag match style tease.
Austin Theory began invoking the Rock while mocking Cody. Seth and Cody wiped hm out. Waller bailed, as he's not getting wrecked in Australia.
Cody and Seth shook hands, the modern day Mega-Powers.
Segment was good. It gave the audience what they wanted and forwarded the storylines to set up Rock responding on Friday.
