Sting & Chris Jericho & Sammy Guevara & Darby Allin vs. Powerhouse Hobbs & Konosuke Takeshita & AEW Tag Team Champions Ricky Starks & Big Bill w/Don Callis.

Takeshita and Garcia start off and Garcvia is trying to tell Takeshita he doesn’t need Callis. Takeshita drives him into the corner and the match starts in earnest. Jericho tags in and they take down Takeshita for a Le Sex Gods pose. Starks tags in, and Hobbs tags himself in. Hobbs gets in a lot of attacks and then tags in Bill, who continues the work. Jericho gets an eye poke and tags in Darby, who has to deal with Takeshita, who tags in.

Darby takes over with speed, and Takeshita is slow to kick out of the first two count. Takeshita hits a helicopter blue thunder bomb.  Really powerful move. Dabry is going to be the babyface in peril as Callis’s team works him over with quick tags. Starks is the only one who doesn’t tag in as they work over Darby until Darby is mostly wiped out. Darby gets a jaw breaker but Hobbs cuts him off. Darby is finally able to get the hot tag to Sting after escaping from Takeshita.

Sting runs wild and he and Jericho start double teaming Callis’s team. Bill eventually drops Sting and then drops Jericho and Callis’ team takes back over. Satarks tags in and Sting is finally able to take him down, allowing Geuvara to tag in. We move to everyone getting a finishing move on the last person in the ring.

Sting gets the scorpion death lock on Takeshita and Callis comes into the ring with a bat. Sting lets go of the move and intimidates Callis out of the ring. Sting locks on the death lock on Takeshita and Jericho gets it on Hobbs in the middle of the ring, but Starks breaks it up. Guevara is able to cut off Guevara’s dive with a spear for two. Guevara hits a GTS and then a shooting star press from the top on Starks for the pin and the win.

Winners:  Sting & Chris Jericho & Sammy Guevara & Darby Allin

AEW TBS Champion Julia Hart defends vs. Abadon

The house rule Abadon has chosen is that biting is allowed.

The crowd chants this is spooky before they lock up.

Abadon is hot out of the gate, but Julia takes over when they go to the outside. They go back and forth and neither gets much of an advantage until Abadon is able to bite Julie’s arms.  It’s a slow paced match after the initial flurry and they go from big move to big move. Julie tries for the heartless, and Abadon grabs the ropes, but there are no rope breaks, so she rolls over to pin Julie for two.

Abadon goes to the top and when Julia tries to join her, she distracts the ref and Skye Blue is able to push Abadon off the top. Abadon goes to the floor, pulls Blue from under the ring and works her over. Hart uses the distraction to blindside Abadon on the floor. Abadon is run into the steel steps and rolled into the ring. Julia hits the moonsault press for the pin and the win.

Winner and still TBS Champion: Julia Hart

Not a good match.  Too slow and plodding, and no real fire through it all.  Disappointing in a lot of ways.

TNT Champion Christian Cage vs. Adam Copeland - No DQ.

Nigel tags in on commentary.

The crowd perks up for this one after being subdued for the Julia Hart/Abadon match.

Adam attacks as Cage comes down the ramp and it’s just gonna be a brawl. The work down the ring and Adam tosses Cage into the ring, the barricade and beats Cage onto the announce table.  Adam tells Nigel to shut up and Nigel says “Yes sir,” until Adam has left, then he’s back to praising Cage and trashing Adam.

Once Cage is in the ring, the crowd chants TLC. They brawl into the crowds, Adam goes to the top of the 100 section and leaps onto Cage. They brawl back down to ringside and Adam runs the barricade to clothesline Cage. They return to the ring and Adam sets for a spear and Caeg sidesteps so that he rams into the ringpost.

Cage breaks out the kendo stick and works over Adam with it. Adam is busted open over his left eye. Cage goes after Adam’s eye and then tells Nick Wayne to get a chair. Two chairs are in the ring and Cage unfolds one to pose. Cage then grabs a Boston Crab while in the chair on Adam’s back. Adam bridges out and Cage asks Nick to get him a lead pipe. Adam avoids it and pulls Cage down backward.

Adam then uses the Kendo stick on Cage. Adam grabs a crossface and Cage is abel to grab the pipe. Adam takes it from him and puts it in Cage’s mouth for the hold. Cage gets to the ropes, but there’s no break. Cage pulls himself out of Adam’s grip with the ropes.

I have to say that for a No DQ match in AEW, I like that it’s more standard stuff rather than thumbtacks, glass and other cutting objects. This feels brutal enough without them.

Adam pulls out a ladder, wedges it in the ropes and Adam runs Cage into it. They move to fighting on the ladder, Cage gets a sunset flip powerbomb from the top of the ladder. Cage pulls out tables from under the ring. Cage is on the apron and Adam tries to charge but Nick pulls Cage out of the way. Adam goes to work on Cage with a chair. They go back and forth and Cage sets a table up in the corner.

Adam gets the spear through the table for two. Nick hits Adam in the back with the title belt and then hits a Wayne’s World on Adam. Adam is rolling into the ring.

Nigel says this is what holidays are all about.

Cage gets the killswitch for two. It’s then time for a flaming table. Adam spears Cage, knocks down Nick and puts more lighter fluid on the table. And Nick is slammed into the table. Cage tries to use the belt and Adam hits a low blow and a killswitch for the pin and the win.

Winner and NEW TNT Champion: Adam Copeland

Probably the best No DQ match AEW has had in their history. Two consummate professionals who put together a great blow off for their feud.

As Adam celebrate, Killswitch attacks Adam from behind. The ref yells that the match is over, but Killswitch gives the contract to the ref, but Cage stops him and asks for the contract. Killswitch yells at Cage and Cage whispers something in his ear and Killswitch hands over the contract.

Cage gives it to the ref and sets for the spear. The bell rings and Cage spears Adam for the pin and the win.

Winner and NEW TNT Champion; Christian Cage
