Crown Jewel is November 4 in you know where.
They showed Jade Cargill arriving. All you need to do is watch that video to see why she is in WWE. She has star written all over her.
Iyo Sky defends her title against Charlotte Flair and Asuka. Sky has told Bayley she doesn’t need her at ringside. I hope it’s have her show she can win this on her own. Charlotte out first, then Asuka, then the champ.
It’s every woman for herself. Out of the gate Charlotte kicked Iyo and Asuka blasted Charlotte in the face with the mist (which I could call missed because it mostly did), so Iyo had to break up the pin to save her belt. Charlotte’s out so it’s Asuka vs, Iyo.
Charlotte’s back and she’s ticked at Asuka. Both women work together to get The Queen out of there because, well, she’s The Queen.
Charlotte’s out again and Iyo is showing her athleticism. She even got a bit of an iYo chant. If she can beat both Charlotte and Asuka impressively, it takes the “fluke” element out of her MITB cash in. Charlotte is back in and she got a smattering of boos. Then she chopped the crap out of both women and got cheers.
Cool spot: Asuka whipped Iyo through the ropes so she turned it into a tope on Charlotte.
With the other two on the floor Iyo called for the moonsault, which she barely grazed Asuka. Charlotte went to the top and hit took out both women on the floor.
Back in the ring, Asuka ran into a Charlotte boot. Charlotte went up to jump to the floor on iYo but the champ stopped her. They are fighting on the ropes. Asuka came in and power bombed them both. She got counts of two on each woman.
This is really good, and stiff. I love that when things have missed, the women didn’t act like they hit.
Asuka and Iyo both have a submission on Charlotte. Asuka realized it so she attacked Iyo. Charlotte hit a spear on Asuka, TWO COUNT ONLY! Crowd let out a big OH.
With Iyo in the floor, Bayley came out and told Iyo to get ip and get in the ring. Iyo told Bayley she had this but that led to her eating a kick from Charlotte. Asuka did Codebreaker from the top on Charlotte, but two count only. The fans are chanting This Is Awesome. They ain’t lying.
Charlotte put the Figure four on Asuka and went into the Figure 8. Bayley got up on the apron and distracted the ref while Asuka was tapping out. Iyo hit a moonsault on the prone Charlotte to retain her Title. She kind of did it on her own, but not really. Iyo got up and hugged Bayley. She’s happy. Great match!
Pat McAfee is here, in his home. He said that Indianapolis is a great city and deserves to host a WrestleMania. The crowd agrees. Pat is joining the announce booth. But not before he introduces John Cena. He and LA Knight vs. Solo and Jimmy is next. Seth gets the main event.
Big pop for Knight. Big boos for the heels.
Cole made a comment about how much Paul Heyman has aged since Pat was last here. Personally, I love that he isn’t coloring his hair. He’s old and he earned the right to not color his hair.
This feels like a vehicle to put Knight over Jimmy to set Knight up for Roman and give Roman some fire when he returns next week.
Cena started and is taking the beating so that he can tag Knight. I love Giving Back John. Bloodline is working him over.
The fans are chanting for Knight.
Cena finally hit an AA on Jimmy. Can he make the tag from across the ring? Nope, Solo blasted Knight before the tag. Cena is taking such a beating that when the crowd chanted Let’s Go Cena, no one told him that he sucked. But Jimmy did say Let’s Go Solo. That was funny.
Cena finally made the tag and Knight is in with Jimmy. The fans are loving it.
Solo got involved and that opened the door for Jimmy. But Jimmy missed the splash and Knight hit the elbow. Solo did a Samoan Drop but Cena came off the top with a splash. Fans are chanting it’s awesome.
Everyone is down. Knight is taking the brothers on by himself with Cena down. John popped up to do the AA on Solo but ate a Jimmy kick instead.
Knight came back and dumped Solo. He hit a superplex on Jimmy. Cena with the Five Knuckle, Knight with the BFT.
Fun, fun stuff that went exactly the way it should have. Pro Wrestling is about moves, results and setting up what’s next. They did that all here. I also love Cena giving so much back at this point in his career.
