Kross is out first, with a fully clad Scarlett. The entrance is still really, really cool. I still don’t see how Vince McMahon blew it with these two. I am glad he is gone, so, so glad he is gone.
HUGE pop for Drew. I think Kross should go over here but man, the crowd wants to see Drew. If Kross wins, I wouldn’t be shocked to see Drew beat him down after the match.
Drew has the sword. They are both in, down comes the cage.
Kross has the early momentum after knocking Drew off the ropes. But Drew came back and the fans are clearly in his corner.
Kross thought he had Drew in the Tree Of Woe and Drew did a great pulling flip on him but Kross got control again. Now they are trading the advantage. This is two big guys working like big guys, so NOT Brian Cage from Dynamite the other night. I know some people love spot machines and I am glad they do, but I want my simulated fights to look real, not seem like a dance routine.
Drew was about to do a Claymore when Scarlett got on the apron and distracted him. That allowed Kross to attack and get control.
Kross was halfway out of the cage when Drew grabbed him and superplexed him back in. DAMN! Fans are chanting that it’s awesome!
Drew called the official to open the door when Scarlett came over and maced both Drew and the official. Kross is laughing as she calls for him to come over and crawl out. Not so fast. Drew grabbed him. Kross’ facial was great when he got got. Drew has him in an ankle lock. Kross gets out and now they are just clubbering.
Scarlett has closed and locked the door. She has the key now. She is telling Drew that she can’t win. He disagrees and is climbing out of the cage.
As he is coming down, Scarlett opened the door for Kross to come out. Drew let go of the cage and hit the floor first for the win. Drew never has a bad match and he sure as hell didn’t have one here. Great stuff.
Kross is saying that this wasn’t supposed to happen but the fans are happy that it did.
Paul Heyman was interview by Byron Saxton. The one lucky punch stuff? He isn’t a fan of it.
Judgment Day is out next. Lots of boos for them. Cole told us that Rhea Ripley has her hair like this in homage to the late, great Beth Phoenix. Cole intimates that Dominik is mesmerized by Rhea and Wade says so what, he’s 25, let him do what he wants. The OC is out next.
Cole mentioned that Karl Anderson is the New Japan NEVER Openweight Champion. He also mentioned The Bullet Club. Cue Tony Khan angry tweet in 3-2-1.
Big pop for AJ when he tagged in. Judgment Day has been in control, except when they make the mistake of tagging Dom in.
They worked over Anderson until he made the tag to Gallows. Dom came in. Big mistake. Doc is pounding the snot out of him.
AJ is in with Finn. I hope they give them a few minutes. They didn’t but it’s six man plunder that ends with Balor and Styles as legal. AJ went for the Forearm but Rhea got under him and planted him on the apron. Balor picked the bones and got the pin. Cole said, “Someone has to kick her ass”. Rhea heard him and wasn’t happy. Yep, AJ’s group needs an equalizer. The fans didn’t like the finish.
Time for Braun Strowman vs. Omos (a wrestler). Omos weighed in at 416 yesterday they said. Omos is out first, alone. They took MVP out on Smackdown in case you missed it. He wasn’t coming to this place and I don’t blame him one bit.
Wade is busting Cole’s stones for Omos face palming him yesterday at the press conference. Braun is out next. The fans are into him.
Here we go. What can Braun do with this guy? He faced off with Omos and said this whole nation is behind me. They stared and then Omos called for a test of strength. Omos won it and it in control. He is talking trash as he is beating down Braun. He looks a lot better than he ever has before. Not great, but believable.
Braun is coming back now with these hands. Now that Omos is selling, well, he has work to do. Strowman went to do the train deal on the floor but Omos knocked him to the ground by standing there. Omos is back in control. Then he ran into the corner and Braun moved. He caught Omos and do a running powerslam for the win. It was exactly what I expected, big men pounding each other. Omos showed improvement here as well.
