Seth came out dressed like a phoenix meets Elton John's Rocketman. I'd love to know his expenditures at the end of the year for costuming!
They began brawling on the floor and into the ring. Rollins was nailed with several Gutwrench suplexes. Riddle cleaned house until being snapped across the top rope. Riddle went for an armbar. Seth tried to powerbomb his way out of it and they tumbled over the top to the floor. Riddle was hit with a powerbomb into a barricade.
Rollins nailed a dive that sent Riddle crashing over the announcers' table. Thus far, entertaining. Rollins measured his shots and took them on Riddle. Riddle fired back but was caught with a kick to the head. They battled to the ropes, with Rollins nailing a stomp off the top for a close two count. Rollins fishhooked him and placed Rollins back on the top rope. They battled on the top until Seth nailed a superplex but on the roll through, Riddle turned it into a fisherman's buster. That was a cool exchange.
Riddle hits the Floating Bro off the ropes on Rollins to the floor. Back in the ring, Rollins went for a Pedigree but Rollins escaped and nailed a GTS and several knees but Rollins kicked out at the last second. They continued to battle back and forth until Riddle caught Rollins in a triangle choke. Rollins went to powerbomb his way out but Riddle hooked his leg to prevent it. Rollins faded to the mat but still survived. They kept beating each other. Rollins was nailed with a big suplex but still came back with a Pedigree. Rollins got his shoulder up at the last second.
They battled to the floor, where Rollins escaped being nailed with a chair on the announcers' table. When Riddle chased him back in, Rollins nailed the stomp. He then hit a second off the ropes and scored the pinfall.
Another damn good match!
The finish was that Riddle let his emotions get the better of him and Rollins capitalized. They will fight another day.
They aired a Becky Lynch promo for those paying to not look at commercials on Peacock.
