The final explosion was nowhere near massive as you'd have expected it to be and it appeared everything didn't go "off" at the same time as it was designed to happen or something. It was absolutely anti-climactic and BEYOND a disappointment from a visual standpoint, especially after the way some of the other explosions looked in the moment. They had this emotional deal primed for Moxley and Kingston right out of the legendary Funk vs. Onita match to give Moxley backup against Omega and friends. Maybe they can still showcase it somehow (I don't know how, but somehow) via post-production but live, whatever was to happen obviously did not and that moment was lost forever. The final explosion didn't work so all the work, drama, etc. just dissipated. This obviously is not what AEW wanted to do to close the show. In fact, this was probably the exact opposite of what they wanted. There's no way to describe this as anything but a massive letdown for everyone watching and everyone involved.
Moxley and Kingston sold like they were DEAD. Medical officials checked on them as they went off the air, which looked awkward especially for talents who carry themselves with street credibility.
