Time for Drew McIntyre vs. Finn Balor. Finn looks like he is over his sickness. He’s over with the peeps. But not Drew, who is beating on him from the get go and mocking Too Sweet.
Drew threw Balor across the ring and is now selling the knee. Despite the way he has been booked, the fans are chanting for Balor. Drew is telling him to fight for him. Drew is selling the leg but still is working like a cyborg. Just as I typed that, Corey called him a Terminator.
Finn came back and got some stuff in but ran into a Tilt a Whirl for a two. But Drew told Finn he means nothing, he is Dolph Ziggler. I don’t need to hear that again. It foretells a bad finish.
Finn kept fighting but Drew is a beast and is laying out destruction. Finn thought he had Drew on the floor, but no.
Drew was in control when, of course, Dolph came in from out of nowhere and super kicked him on the floor. He went for a chair but as he came at Drew, he got it kicked in his face. Drew threw Dolph in the ring and came into the ring with a chair. Finn did a dropkick and drove it in his face then hit the Coup de Gras. So of freaking course, Balor got the win. I f’ng hate WWE booking soooooooo much. This finish was ridiculous. Corey can say how it took two men to make it happen all he wants but the fact is that WWE creative has no idea how to keep talents strong. I know a lot of you are reading this weather than watching and crappy booking like this is exactly why you are.
Hey Vince, when you came to Raw tomorrow maybe you want to address your really bad booking. That is the only reason people aren’t watching the way that they used to. Wrestling fans are very forgiving but they all have their breaking point. You are pushing them to it.
Rey Mysterio is ready to go to war with Randy Orton in a chair match. Orton is in control early.
But then did a sliding chair boogie board splash onto Randy when he was down on the floor and turned the tide. That was a cool spot. It didn’t last long though and Orton went into smash mode on little Rey. But he made the mistake of setting up a chair in the corner and Rey almost put him into it. Randy hit a powerslam for a two in response. Not for nothing but that was a stiff spot, in a real fight….Rey keeps fighting back because this is wrestling. Hence the finish of the previous match.
Anyway, Randy got some more near falls. It makes it seem like he will lose.
Rey got 619 and went to the top. But, Randy stopped him. That is the story of the match, Randy gets in abuse but can’t put Rey away. So Randy set up four chairs in the ring. He went for the RKO but Rey instead drove him headfirst. Rey then got a quick roll up to get the win. Rey ran down the aisle right after the win.
They worked hard but again the booking for this one was sooooooo obvious that I never invested because I knew how it was going to end. As an aside, there are a lot of people that aren’t watching TV for the same reason.
In the back, Balor was ticked that Ziggler showed up at ringside. Ziggler told him he was lucky he was there and threw him into plunder.
Vince McMahon will be on Raw tomorrow to shake things up! He is firing himself as head of creative! No, he really isn’t.
