Fifth Harmony did a good job on "America The Beautiful" to open the show.
After that they did a video package of WrestleMania through the years. It was really good.
We are opening up with Kevin Owens defending his Intercontinental Title in the Ladder match. Dolph Ziggler came out first to a good pop. The Miz was next to boos. Sami Zayn came out to a great reaction. Stardust was next. Then Sin Cara. Zack Ryder got a loud reaction with a lot of woos. Finally, out came the champion, to a big pop. Sami and KO got by the far the biggest pop.
Before the match they showed the announce teams from around the world. It was cool.
This started hot. I don't envy Rich for having to recap this.
It's clear early that Miz is a heel to the fans. He got booed from the get go and when he went up to get the belt, Sami and Dolph stopped him. Sami hit a Blue Thunder bomb on Ziggler but KO came in before he could go for the belt. He took a stiff backdrop on the ladder. Sami did an amazing set of spots, a tope through the ladder and over the top rope on a group in the floor, followed by a his dive under the bottom rope into a DDT on KO. Cara was going for the below when Sami pushed him off. He balanced on the top rope and then did a somersault splash on the guys on the floor. Cool spot. Dolph super kicked Sami and then went to climb the ladder and various people tried to stop him. But, he finally climbed up and KO came in stopped him. They both went for superkicks at the same time and laid each other out. Dust then went under the ring and got his own polka dot ladder. The crowd chanted for Dusty. He got in the ring and did the Terry Funk battering ram spot with the ladder, nailing some guys. Miz came in and did the SCF on him on the chair. KO came in and cleaned house and threw the Dusty ladder out of the ring. Zayn came in out of nowhere and and he KO laid him on a ladder across the bottom rope and then did a Frog Splash from the top on Zayn on the ladder. The fans chanted it was awesome. It's freaking insane.
Zack went to the top of the ladder and did a Savage elbow on Miz. Cool stuff.
Ziggler, selling his leg, tried to hop up the ladder but KO stopped him. I am missing stuff, I know it. Sorry.
Sin Cara got up the ladder but KO pushed him off the top and he landed on Cody, who was prone on a ladder across the ring and the barricade. It bent significantly. KO took the chance to go for the belt. Sami met him at the top. They started punching the crap out of each other. KO used a thimb to the eye to knock Sami down. Sami came back and did a SICK suplex on KO on a chair Sami went up the ladder. The fans were chanting Ole. But Miz broke it up and the fans booed!
Miz got to the top and got cocky. Zack Ryder came from behind and knocked him off, winning the title. Zack Ryder is your new IC champion. After he won his dad came in the ring and hugged him. That was cool as hell.
The fans were into it. They wanted Sami to win, but Zack was a close second. Great match to open the show.

AJ Styles vs. Chris Jericho is up next.
Jericho was out first to his usual big entrance. AJ came out next and got a really big pop.
They locked up early on, with neither man getting an advantage. Neither could get an advantage. AJ tried to do a plancha to the floor but Jericho kicked him in the face and then went on the offensive. He got a two with an elbow off of the top rope. He got a one after a suplex where he covered AJ with his foot.
Jericho locked on the Walls but AJ got to the ropes. They went to the top and Jericho wanted a suplex but neither guy really hit a move of their own. Styles went for a kick but Jericho caught him and locked on the Walls again. And once again AJ went for the ropes. Jericho pulled him away so AJ rolled through and punched him. He reversed it and got the Calf Crusher. He got out but when Jerico went for a rana AJ almost got The Styles Clash. AJ then ran into a Codebreaker. Two count only. Jericho was shocked.
The crowd was doing deuling chants as they got up and stared throwing punches. Jericho then set up AJ for The Styles Clash but AJ got out and dumped Jericho face first and got a two. Styles finally hit the Styles Clash and Jericho kicked out at two. Damn.
They got back up and threw hands. AJ ran at Jericho and ate a boot. Jericho did the Lionsault but AJ got the knees up. This is a war, not super crisp, but I meen that in a good way. AJ got a two with a springboard 450. AJ took off his elbow pad and looked like WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO? He yelled for Jericho to get up and the crowd was behind him. AJ went for the springboard forearm but Jericho pulled the ref and then put AJ in the Codebreaker and he came off the rope. Jericho wins. Don't ask me why. My buddy Neil who is a lapsed fan asked, What is the point of having Jericho win?" I have no answer. I don't get it either.
Overall, it was a very physical match, not always crisp but that is OK.
They showed us Stephen Amell and Bill Simmons in the crowd.
Maria M, was in the back (wearing a Shane McMahon shirt) and she had Zack Ryder. He said that all he ever wanted to do was hear his music play at Mania. He said when he was a kid he had his picture taken with Razon Ramon when he won his IC Title. Now he is going to find him backstage and have Hall take a picture with his belt. He said his career is made.
New Day vs. The League is next. New Day came out first. A big box of Booty Os fell over, with Booty Os coming out, and they came out of the box. Yes, I just wrote that. Don't believe me?
#TheNewDay just emerged out of a GIANT box of #BootyOs!!! #WrestleMania @WWEBigE @TrueKofi @XavierWoodsPhD pic.twitter.com/rHaXBQQhAX
