Countdown to the Hall of Fame
Peter Rosenberg welcomes us to the Countdown to the Hall of Fame as the crew sets up the ring for the Hall of Fame. He talks about those going into the Hall of Fame tonight, highlighting Paul Heyman before throwing it to Kayla Braxton and Cathy Kelley. They talk about the importance of the night before throwing it back to Peter Rosenberg who runs down the 2024 class.
Kayla Braxton is with Trish Stratus. Trish remembers how special it was for her to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. She also talks about her WrestleMania memories, especially her first one.
Cathy Kelley is with Natalya. She is excited to have the entire wrestling community come together for such a special night and week. Celebrating people who paved the way for her family is amazing. She talks about Owen Hart vs. Bret Hart being her favorite WrestleMania match and how excited she is for the Brother vs. Brother match this year. She is Team Yeet.
Kayla Braxton is with CM Punk. It’s been a long day and he’s tired, but he’s excited and can’t wait to see Paul Heyman get recognized. He points out that WrestleMania XL is special because there was no guarantee that there would be a WrestleMania 2 after the first one. To have the 40th installment this weekend is amazing. He then “forgets” the names of Seth and Drew when talking about what he’s excited for.
Cathy Kelley is with Michin. She’s excited for AJ Styles and LA Knight to put their issues to bed and for AJ to come back to The O.C. NIkki Cross interrupts and says she can’t wait to see Bull Nakano. Michin and Nikki then go back and forth over who will win between Bayley and Iyo Sky.
Kayla Braxton is with Maxxine Dupree. She’s happy to see the SmackDown crew and the excitement for the weekend. She’s so thankful for the women, like Bull Nakano and Alundra Blayze, who paved the way for today’s women. She can’t wait to keep improving!
Cathy Kelley is with Shayna Bazler. She talks about her Bloodsport match last night. She’s looking forward to seeing Bull Nakano, Muhammad Ali, and Paul Heyman. She has her eyes on who wins the women’s titles this weekend. She says Bayley has a lot to prove and you cannot count out Becky Lynch. She’d like to face anyone in the future, but someone with a title would be nice. Facing Rhea Ripley would be cool.
Kayla Braxton is with Charlotte Flair. She is very happy to see both Mike Rotunda and Paul Heyman inducted tonight. They both helped her so much in her career. She shouts out her husband, Andrade. She’s been to a Phillies game, had fun at The World, and is looking forward to hanging out with the VIPs.
Cathy Kelly is with Grayson Waller. This has been the worst day of his life because of what happened on SmackDown. But…he looks good! He’s excited to see some legends tonight. He was happy to see Ken Shamrock and some ECW legends. He is excited to see Paul Heyman get inducted. He shows off his pink shoes.
Peter Rosenberg is sitting with Bayley at ringside. She has some nerves for the weekend, but she’s feeding off of their excitement. She talks about how great Bull Nakano was. She has learned from Nakano’s confidence.
Kayla Braxton is Bronson Reed. He’s a huge Bull Nakano fan. Paul Heyman has been a huge influence on him, both as a fan and behind the scenes. He’s excited to be the winner of the Andre the Giant Battle Royal. He’ll have his eyes on the Intercontinental Title Match at WrestleMania.
Cathy Kelley is with Montez Ford and Bianca Belair. They talk about how exciting the weekend is and how they can’t wait to perform. They thank the fans.
