Inducting Lia Maivia - The Rock
Before he gets into it, The Rock congratulates all the inductees of the 2024 WWE Hall of Fame class. Lia Maivia was a real trailblazer. She was able to change the game and open up doors in a male dominated industry.
The Rock mentions that as his grandfather, High Chief Peter Maivia, was passing away, it was his dream to make PPW successful. Lia was able to promote incredible events during a time when there were a lot of territories. They would all send their stars to her. He listed a bunch of stars from the 80s, including Dusty Rhodes.
He wants to take a moment and say that when it comes to the Rhodes Family (he looks at Cody Rhodes and Cody stands up), he has nothing but respect for Dusty Rhodes. However, in 24 hours, it’s not business…it’s personal. The crowd chants for Cody.
On behalf of The Rock’s family (both sides - and he has the “real” Final Boss, Ata Johnson, stand up), he thanks everyone. “Let’s get ready for WrestleMania!” The Rock then exited and the show is over.
