It's night one from Jerry World. The show is opening with a Country Artist I don't know doing America The Beautiful. They did a good job.
They had Mark Wahlberg do the intro video package. He didn't come cheap.
The Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders came out and danced to AC/DC's Thunderstruck. At least they get to see some people win or defend a Title in that stadium, unlike how they spend Sundays in the Fall and Winter.
This is Michael Cole's 26th Mania. That is impressive.
The Usos are starting the night by defending their Tag Titles against Shinsuke Nakamura and Boogz. The challengers are out first. Fans are loving it as Boogz plays Shin's theme and they head to the ring. Pat Mac is playing air guitar on the announce table.
Boogz is a strong dude. For sure. But he shouldn't have tried to put both Usos on his back. Now he is selling the knee. That left Shin by himself and he was in trouble pretty quickly. It was fine for what it was but it didn't have much time. The Bloodline started the weekend with a win. How will it end?
Chris Jericho has said no one wants to go on second at Mania. How gets it tonight? Drew McIntyre and Happy Corbin. Ugh. Of course, Happy is seconded by Madcap Moss. I can't believe I just typed that sentence.
Happy is in control early.
The momentum turned when Madcap was on the apron for no reason and Corbin started yelling at him to move. Yep. That is how they booked it. But at least Drew got to come back, and hit a kip up. Man, he deserves so much more than this.
Drew had Corbin when Moss pulled him out. So he did Air Drew and wiped them out on the floor. These guys are working hard. Corbin hit End Of Days but Drew kicked out. Rather than go right back at him, he made the WTF face. That allowed Drew to recover and hit the Future Shock. Kip Up. Claymore. Thanks for coming. With this nonsense behind him, let’s move Drew back up where he belongs. Please?
Time for the Miz/Logan Paul-Mysterios match. Dominick is dressed in Eddie Guerrero type gear. Come on man. Seriously.
Logan Paul is wearing the most expensive Pokemon card in the world around his neck. Man, I am old because that just sounds stupid to me.
The fans are super into The Mysterious. They are not into Miz and Paul.
Paul has looked pretty good as the heels work over Dom. Dom is trying to make the comeback. The crowd is into it. He made it. Man, Rey coming in and doing his thing shows that if Dom’s dad was me, he wouldn’t be on WrestleMania. I don’t mean to disrespect the kid either, but he got the fast track and really I don’t think it was on merit.
The Mysterios come back. They did a Double 619 on Paul. They did double frog splashes. But Miz tagged himself in and hit the SCF for the win. Paul did really well for his first match.
And then after the match, Miz hit the SCF on Paul. Paul was like WTF? Just as everyone else was. Tune into Raw I guess to see why he did it.
