Cody looks happy to be here.  I hope he feels that way in three months.  The one positive is he can’t blade here.  The one negative is that Vince didn’t make Cody get rid of that hideous tattoo.  Here we go.

The people are super live for Cody so they made the right call to deliver the surprise at Mania, unannounced.  And if I being honest, at least it’s not Sweato Mac.

Seth took enough time before it started that it will be hard to credibly say he wasn’t ready if he loses.  But, he is a heel so credibility doesn’t matter.

Cody looks good early and the fans are into him.

They are working a longer match so the fans are coming down.  They probably should speed it up and get them back in it.

I don’t know what I just saw but it was a mess.  Cody went for a spinning splash off of the top and kind of crashed and burned.  In a lot of ways, this actually looks like a match that got thrown together at the last minute, even though it didn’t.

Seth just hit a buckle bomb into the barricade on the floor.

Cody is taking abuse.  He has red marks all over his body.  He just kicked out of the Falcon Arrow.

My wife just said, “They always call him Seth Freakin’ Rollins.  It’s so FREAKIN’ annoying.”  I married her for a reason.

They traded near fall attempts.  Cody nailed Crossroads but Seth kicked out.  Fans are chanting CODY now.  Since they weren’t in AEW, I bet he’s happy at the moment.

Cody kicked out of an inverted superplex from the top.  He has to win, right?  Even if he doesn’t, he is putting in a yeoman’s performance.

Cody got a two with a big Cutter.  This has turned into a very good match.

Cody kicks out of a Pedigree.  Wow, really?  At this point that should have done it.  But it’s a new world.

It’s becoming a total fight now.  Cody hit Crossroads.  Held on.  Did it again.  Then he threw some Dusty punches, and the bionic elbow.  The fans are going nuts.  Crossroads.  Cody wins!

Who knows where he will be in a few months but for tonight, great match and great re-debut for Cody.
