Cody took in a huge reaction to his win after the fact. As I said earlier, Rollins was on a losing streak. If he won here, Cody is a loser. Instead, Cody just kissed the mat. Good job.
Hall of Fame recap time. If you are back east, we are going til midnight folks.
The class of 2022 came out. All worthy. They all got great pops. Taker got the biggest, of course.
As I predicted earlier, the booking going in has been eh. The workers have made it WrestleMania by doing what they do best.
They are saying Boogz really hurt his leg. Torn quad. That explains why it was quick. Legit injury. Get well soon Boogs.
Attendence is 77,899. Let the "they are lying" conversations begin.
Charlotte defends against Ronda Rousey next.
To me, this finish comes down to whether Ronda is only back for Mania or not. If she isn't staying, she should lose.
Ronda out first. Charlotte got the GOAT treatment, with pyro.
Ronda's announcement got a mixed reaction. So did Charlotte, but it was louder.
Ronda is in control early. Well she was.
This very MMA like. I am enjoying it.
They are living up to the hype. Good stuff.
Ronda had the pin after Piper's Pit but Charlotte was in the ropes. Charlotte hit Natural Selection but Ronda kicked out. This is good stuff.
Ronda bumped the ref (Little Naitch of course) and had the match won, but he wasn't there to count. Charlotte took advantage and took out Ronda to retain.
Ronda stays strong since Charlotte did tap. But the title stays with the champ, probably because Ronda will take a break.
They just said KO-Austin is next. Poor Butch. He misses his moment.
WrestleMania is in LA next year. Eps and Mike can hang.
Out came KO. Then Austin, who soaked in the applause and then drove his ATV to the ring. KO ripped on Texas. Austin didn't like it. Of course.
KO said he brought Austin in under a ruse. He tricked him. He doesn't want to talk, even though he has a bad back he is looking for a fight. He brought him out here to challenge him to a match. It will be a No Holds Barred match. That is better than talking. And if it happens WWE told the truth when he said they would have a match, no matter how short it is.
Of course Austin wants to do it and wants some Hell Yeahs. He got them. Austin calls for a ref after saying his first match was in Dallas and his last one will be too. The ref is here. The bell rings. Here we go.
Kick. Stomp. KO bumps. Have a beer. KO ain't getting in anything. Austin is 57 and he is taking it easy like he's 57, a very fit 57. He took a mini bump into the barricade and came back immediately with a clothesline.
Austin took a bump on the post. Tripod across the back. Austin took punches to the head. This is a match.
KO has a table. He will probably be the one that goes thru it. Yep!
Austin threw KO into the crowd, where they are now fighting. Austin just took a suplex on the cement floor. He's a moron, even if his back magically got better. He's old.
Austin is taking a beating until he finally threw KO off of the barricade onto the announce table. KO has gotten a lot in.
Austin is standing over him and killing a few beers. Now it's a slug fest by Austin.
But KO came back. This is a match, for real.
KO went to steal the ATV but Austin caught him. Austin drove it to the stage and then they fought up there. Austin hit a Superplex on the stage. And another. And now he is stomping a mud hole into him back to the ring.
I did not expect this. It's a fight. KO has done enough to not have stink on him and Austin looks good. KO has a cut on his back. He hit a Stunner and got a two on Austin. I can't believe I am watching a match.
KO went to use a chair. He hit the rope and pasted himself. Stunner. 1-2-3. Austin wins.
I did not expect that. It was an Austin match. Austin gets to start and end his career in Dallas. Beer bash afterwards. They definitely promoted his beer, which he is spitting more out than drinking.
He hit another Stunner and cops in Cowboys hats took KO away.
He gave us a STONE COLD SAID SO and that was out show.
He had to love it. One more time, going out on his terms. Was it a classic? In a way, yeah, it was Austin doing it one more time.
Oh wait, it's not over. Byron Saxton when down to have a beer. You know how this ended. Yep. Stunner.
Austin then got to have a beer with his brother in the ring.
Gotta be honest, I wasn't expecting a whole lot but the talent worked their asses off and there was a lot of good stuff on the show. I hope tomorrow does the same.
Thanks for reading, hotline coming tomorrow.
