Roman Reigns came out first, getting boos. Maybe this is not a Philly crowd after all. Philly learned when to stop booing him. Hey Orlando, be like Philly. Don’t be like Orlando. I hope they book this so that he can make them change the way that Philly did. Number two in the Rumble is….Rusev. With Lana! And, we are off.
They did a spot where Rusev thought Roman was out, but he wasn’t. And before the time expired, Roman dumped Roman. And at number three? AJ F’N Styles. So they did debut him. I hope like hell they book him strongly here. Suffice to say, the crowd liked this.
I know I will not get all of the entrances. Mike is doing that. But at four, Tyler Breeze. And second out, Breeze as Styles and Reigns tossed him. At five? One of the Social Outcasts. Curtis Axel. And he is gone. At six is Chris Jericho. He got a big pop. They said no one has ever won from number six. Styles went to work on Jericho early. The peeps were into it.
At seven, Kane is back. At eight, Goldust. While everyone was fighting, the crowd chanted for AJ Styles. PLEASE VINCE, HEAR THEM AND BOOK AJ F’N STYLES PROPERLY! At number nine, Ryback.
At number ten, the New Day came out. It’s Kofi, and the crowd loves him. At 11, Titus came out and the Florida crowd booed him. Come on man! He is a good dude. The ring is filling up and just as I said that, Titus got rid of Goldust. At 12 is R Truth. Saxton said he was happy Truth knew what day the Rumble was. See, he is a dummy. So of course he brings a ladder in and climbs up for the MITB case that isn’t there. Kane got rid of him. Bye Truth. Kane tossed Kofi and he did a new spot, landing on Big E. He is now on his back at ringside.
At 13, of course we get a Wyatt, Luke Harper. Out of nowhere, out comes Vince McMahon with The Legion Of Nations. They pulled Roman Reigns out of the ring and beat the snot out of him on the floor. He is not out of it, but he isn’t getting rest time either.
LON are still destroying Reigns when Stardust comes out at 14. LON puts Reigns on the Spanish Announce Table and Rusev ran across the other announce tables and splashed him through it. The plan is clear for the McMahons.
Sorry, had to answer a text. Big Show is in. Kofi is gone. Neville came in and went to work. They mentioned the is breakout star of the year and he is doing ok. Reigns was put on a stretcher and was being taken to the back. He got off of the stretcher, but walked to the back, like a football player that is hurt does. The announcers put over AJ Styles and as if on cue, the fans chanted for him. At 18 Braun Strowman. He faced off with Kane and threw out Kane right away. He faced off with Big Show. The fans actually chanted for Show over Braun. He locked on his submission and put Show over the top. Show tried to hang on, but eventually was eliminated. Oh year, the talk of Lesnar vs. Strowman appears to be true. Next out, limping to the ring, Kevin Owens. He went right after AJ and the crowd totally loved it. Then, Owens eliminated AJ at Styles at 28 minutes and they stopped being into it. They chanted his name as he left.
At 19, Dean Ambrose.
Of course, Ambrose went right after Owens. At 20 we get a pop! Sami Zayn. Owens is NOT happy. Sami is coming right for him and off they go. If you think I said I wasn’t looking forward to this show at all, well, let’s move on. The fans were chanting OLE as Zayn tossed Owens over the top. At 21 is Eric Rowan. So Bray is still to come and potentially three LON guys to help The Game.
The Wyatts are taking over, getting Neville out. And Stardust. And now going to work on Jericho.
At 22, Mark Henry. They acknowledge it could be his last Rumble. He went after the Wyatts but met Strowman. All three Wyatts tossed him. With the Wyatts, Sami, Dean and Jericho in, out came Brock Lesnar at 23. He went after the Wyatts. Out goes Rowan. He only cares about Wyatts. At 24, Jack Swagger. He ate an F5 and was tossed. He lasted 15 seconds. Brock is standing tall and everyone else, not so much.
Brock nailed Strowman a few times. The Miz came out at 25 and went to the booth to talk instead of wrestling. He is waiting for the perfect time to go in. Brock dumped Harper. He has nailed Braun but didn’t dumped him. ADR is out next. Miz was still on the outside doing commentary.
Brock went to get Strowman out with a clothesline and did. The three Wyatts were eliminated at Lesnar’s hands.
At 27 was Bray Wyatt. He had no backup now. Or did he? Yep, His family all came back in and attacked Lesnar. But Brock threw them out and faced off with Bray. Suplex city happened but before he could hit the F5, the family came back in and Bray hit Sister Abigail on Lesnar. The three Wyatts threw Lesnar out at Bray's behest. Yep, we are getting Lesnar vs. Strowman at Mania. Oy.
Brock left as Dolph Ziggler came out at 28. Miz decided that it was time for him to go in now, making his play to stay out ridiculous. If you could stay out, why not stay out later? He did his finisher on Ziggler but didn't get the job done.
At 29 was Sheamus. Before he got to the ring, Reigns ran out and hit him with the Superman Punch. The crowd booed. Reigns tossed a few guys as the crowd booed him. Wow. They really hate him in Orlando.
And at 30, Triple H. Shocked right? Me neither. The crowd popped big for H though, because they hated Reigns. It was all about H facing off with Roman at that point.
The funny thing is, Vince thought he booked it for the people to cheer for Reigns. Wrong. H faced off with Wyatt and told him to go after Reigns. Bray refused. He was about to hit Sister Abigal when Sheamus made the save. H dusted Wyatt.
Ambrose tossed Jericho after Y2J hit the Codebreaker on HHH.
Sheamus was eliminated by Roman and then HHH dumped Roman. Down to HHH and Dean.
And, if you were hoping Dean got the win here, you will be disappointed. He didn’t. So your 14 time champion, and headlining WrestleMania, HHH.
Vince had his idea of booking H vs. Reigns and he went with it, whether it was the right move or not. The Orlando crowd made H the face. If that continues at venues leading up to Mania, it should make for an interesting two months.
