COMPLETE TNA VICTORY ROAD COVERAGE FROM EDMONTON

By Mike Johnson on 2025-09-26 20:31:00

They showed Myron Reed preparing for his X-Division title match.  They then showed Leon Slater prepping.

TNA International Champion Steve Maclin vs. Frankie Kazarian.

The usual good back and forth wrestling you'd expect from these two as the two vets tried to out-do the other and also play mind games.  Kazarian was drilled with a knee to the mid-section as he rebounded off the ropes.   Kazarian was sent to the floor but side-stepped, getting out of the way of Maclin's SCUD Missile dive.

Kazarian worked him over in the aisle and sent Maclin back into the ring.  Kazarian nailed a legdrop across the chest.  Kazarian took out Maclin as he rebounded off the ropes, scoring several near falls.  Kaz went for a Uranage but Maclin drilled him.  Maclin scored with a series of rights.  Kazarian caught him with a clothesline and worked over his back.

They battled back and forth.  Maclin drilled Kazarian for a two count.  Maclin set him up in the corner for the Crosshairs.  Kazarian pulled himself up and nailed a cutter as Maclin charged.  Kazarian went to the top but was nailed with a big right hand.  Maclin nailed a superplex but Kazarian rolled to the floor.  Maclin went to grab him but was shoulderblocked and hit with a DDT for a two count.

El Mesias came out and got in Maclin's face.  Maclin nailed him and when he went back to the ring, Kazarian kicked him low as he went through the ropes, then hit the slingshot cutter for the pin.

Your winner and new TNA International Champion, Frankie Kazarian!

A good match with two vets who know where to be and tell a good story.

Matt Rehwoldt and Tom Hannifan discussed the TNA Hall of Fame Class of 2025.

X-Division Champion Leon Slater vs. Myron Reed

TNA chant to kick off the match.

Good back and forth action until they face off.    Reed hit a great inverted Codebreaker to the chest.  Reed went to the top but was dropkicked off to the floor.  Slater hit a slingshot pescado to the floor.  The crowd went back and forth with dueling chants.  Reed came back with a great rana takedown for a two count.  Reed followed up with a big kick.  Reed and Slater went back and forth with some dizzying attempts of offense and defense.

They battled near the ropes.  Slater spun Reed around and nailed Utopia for a close two count.  They battled.  Reed came off the ropes and Slater drilled him with a big boot.  Reed rolled to the floor, stunned.  Slater hit a big a flip dive over the ring post to the floor.   They battled back into the ring and fought over a suplex.  They crashed over the top to the floor, where they battled again over the suplex which was turned into a Stundog Millionaire.    Reed nailed a big dive and then hit a top rope 450 splash.  He covered Slater but Leon kicked out at the last second.  The crowd was chanting for the X-Division.

Reed ducked a kick and snatched him with a cutter.  Reed placed Slater on the ropes and charged for a move.  Slater nailed a swanton into a 450 for the pin.

Your winner and still X-Division Champion, Leon Slater!

Really a breathtaking display of athletics.  A fun match to close us out.

Santino Marella came out and said he's been in negotiations all day for this match - Leon Slater vs. Je'Von Evans at Bound for Glory.
