TNA Border Brawl Coverage
The show starts off with a video package that features tonight’s competitors. The issues between Canada and the United States are briefly touched upon as the wrestlers make it clear that they are fighting for their country.
Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt welcome everyone to Niagara Falls, Ontario. They show videos of the beautiful Canadian side and the ugly United States side of Niagara Falls. McKenzie Mitchell asks the crowd to stand for the playing of the Canadian and United States national anthems.
Team USA is brought out by Barbie Blank. Team Canada is brought out by Jacques Rougeau and Allie. Gabby Laspisa mentions that Quinton Jackson couldn’t make it across the border tonight. Allie says that tonight is not a fight…it’s a statement. Canada doesn’t run its mouth, their wrestling does the talking. Allie tells Blank “Sorry for your loss.”
Blank tells Allie that what she said is really cute. Blank says that Team USA is not in Canada to eat their disgusting poutine or maple syrup - in fact the United States makes better poutine. Team USA is here to win! Blank promises that everyone will be chanting “USA!” by the end of the night.
Rougeau, dressed in his The Mountie attire, tells Blank that Canada always gets its man!
The Personal Concierge is in the ring and expresses his love for Canada. In Canada, they still take care of the old, poor, and homeless. America is lousy and ugly. Canada also has amazing maple syrup. The Personal Concierge then introduces the nephew of the greatest Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau…William Trudeau!
William Trudeau (Canada) vs. Sami Callihan (USA)
As Sami Callihan makes his way into the ring, William Trudeau attacks him between the ropes. Callihan shakes it off, though, and drives Trudeau to the corner. Callihan hits a chop and then levels Trudeau with a punch. Callihan takes out a piece of paper and gives Trudeau a papercut on the webbing of his fingers. The Personal Concierge was complaining to the referee, so she didn’t see it. Callihan tries to give The Personal Concierge a papercut, as well, but Trudeau hits him from behind and then works Callihan over in the corner.
Trudeau chokes Callihan in the ropes until the referee breaks it up. The Personal Concierge cranks at Callihan’s arm as the referee admonishes Trudeau. Trudeau goes back to his choking tactics until the referee breaks it up. With the referee’s back turned, The Personal Concierge works over Callihan’s arm again. Trudeau works over Callihan’s arm and tells The Personal Concierge to get onto the apron. Callihan does the switcheroo on Trudeau and feeds William to The Personal Concierge. Trudeau gets his arm cranked and then gets angry with The Personal Concierge. Trudeau turns around and eats a stunner from Callihan. Callihan makes the cover for the win!
Winner: Sami Callihan
After the match, The Personal Concierge tries to hit Sami Callihan from behind. Callihan doesn’t budge at all and hits a stunner on The Personal Concierge.
