Match Number One: Undisputed WWE Championship “I Quit” Match: Cody Rhodes versus AJ Styles
Cody with punches and he Irish whips AJ face first into the turnbuckles. Cody with punches to AJ. AJ with an Irish whip and Cody floats over and hits a power slam. AJ counters Beautiful Disaster with a reverse atomic drop. AJ sends Cody into the turnbuckles and gives him an Irish whip sternum first into the turnbuckles. AJ goes for a slam but Cody gets to his feet and he connects with a series of jabs and a bionic elbow. Cody drop kicks AJ to the floor. AJ is asked if he wants to quit and AJ does not. Cody pulls out a table and then he punches AJ. Cody pulls out a second table. AJ gets back to his fet and Cody sends AJ into the ring steps and AJ's knees hit the steps. AJ does not want to quit. Cody sends AJ over the ringside barrier into the crowd.
Cody with a punch off the ringside barrier. AJ with a kick and punch to Cody. Cody with a kick and punch as they fight around the crowd. Cody with more punches and he sends AJ into the side of the bleachers. AJ sends Cody into the bleachers. They fight into the hallway. Cody with a punch and he sends AJ into the wall. Cody with punches and he sends AJ into some of the storage cases. AJ chokes Cody with a cable. Cody with an elbow and he sends AJ into the wall. They make their way back into the seating area and down the aisle. Cody sends AJ into the barrier. Cody with punches to AJ. AJ avoids being send into a table and AJ gets back in the ring.
Cody with a double leg take down and he goes for a figure four leg lock and he locks it in. AJ refuses to quit and Cody adds more pressure. AJ gets to the ropes and Cody releases the hold out of courtesy. Cody goes for a suplex back into the ring but AJ lands on his feet and he suplexes Cody over the top rope to the floor and AJ follows. AJ with a Death Valley Driver onto the announce table. AJ with a brainbuster onto the announce table. The referee asks Cody if he wants to quit and AJ takes the mic and hits Cody with it. AJ sends Cody into the ring bell and Cody's mom yells at AJ. Cody is bleeding and AJ mentions that we have a bleeder.
Cody with punches but AJ with a punch to stop Cody followed by a punch to the head. AJ with an Ushigoroshi and the referee asks Cody if he wants to quit and Cody says he is good. AJ punches Cody. Cody is asked again and he is good to go. Cody with punches and AJ with a drop kick. AJ sends Cody face first into the ring steps. AJ removes the top part of the ring steps and AJ sets for a Styles Clash off the ring steps but Cody counters with a back body drop to the floor. Cody with punches and forearms to AJ. AJ with forearms and a back fist but Cody with Beautiful Disaster. Cody sets for CrossRhodes and AJ with a knee and a Pele Kick. AJ with a DDT. Cody is not ready to quit. AJ with a reverse chin lock and a fish hook. AJ with an elbow to the nose. AJ goes under the ring and he sees a chair and sends it into the ring.
AJ kicks Cody and he puts the chair around Cody's head and AJ punches Cody. AJ with a knee drop onto the chair. The referee asks Cody and Cody says no. AJ picks up the chair and he puts it down. AJ goes under the ring and he gets a kendo stick. AJ with a shot to the midsection and back. AJ hits Cody in the leg and he hits him in the back as AJ tells Cody he is going to hurt him. AJ with more kendo stick shots. AJ hits Cody again and does not let the referee asks Cody. Cody refuses to quit. AJ whips Cody with a belt. Cody is asked and then AJ wraps the belt around Cody's forehead. AJ whips Cody one more time with the belt.
AJ with an STF and Cody is not ready to quit. Cody starts to pass out and AJ releases the hold. The referee tells AJ that Cody has to say 'I Quit' for the match to end. AJ goes to the floor and he gets some water and returns to the ring while Cody wakes up. AJ throws the water bottle at Cody's head. AJ gets a black pouch and he brings it into the ring. AJ says he has something better and it is a chain and hand cuffs. AJ pus Cody in the cuffs and he has Cody's arms behind his back. AJ does not read Cody his Miranda Rights because they are not in the US. AJ hits Cody in the back many times with the kendo stick. Cody refuses to quit.
AJ tells Cody's mom it is her fault and he goes to the floor to get in Cody's mother's face. AJ pokes Cody's mom and she hits AJ a few times. AJ gets a chair and suggests that he is going to hit Cody's mom. AJ hits Cody with the chair a few times. Cody has the chair and AJ has a chain around his forearm as AJ sets for a Phenomenal Forearm but Cody hits AJ and AJ goes through the table. Cody has his hands in front of him. Cody unlocks the hand cuffs. Cody uses the hand cuffs to punch AJ and AJ is bleeding. AJ misses a forearm into the corner and hits the ring post. Cody with a double thrust to the throat and Cody with a fish hook and a CodyCutter. Cody with CrossRhodes. Cody with a second CrossRhodes. Cody gets a chair and he puts it in the middle of the ring for the landing spot of CrossRhodes number three.
Cody has the chair and he tosses it aside. Cody goes to the apron. Cody gets the hand cuffs and he locks AJ to the middle rope. Cody hits AJ with the chair many times and AJ falls to the mat. Cody hits AJ in the legs with the chai. AJ refuses to quit. Cody hits AJ in the midsection with the chairs and then Cody grabs the top part of the ring steps. AJ tosses the steps into the ring. Cody picks up the steps and AJ quits.
Winner: Cody Rhodes (retains championship)
After the match, Cody hits AJ with the ring steps one last time.
After the match, Solo Sikoa stands next to Cody in the aisle and they have a stare down.
Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa attack Cody and all three men attack Cody.
Randy Orton's music plays and he comes out and he is joined by Kevin Owens to help Cody.
They all fight to the back.
