It's time for TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace vs. WWE NXT Women's Champion Roxanne Perez!
Perez is one hell of a heel. She was the best thing about the last year of ROH under Sinclair and is now one of the best things in all of NXT.
This should be a lot of fun. TNA management are in the house.
Grace is out first. Big TNA chant for her.
Roxanne is so in the zone as a heel. What an incredible evolution for her.
The crowd chanted this was awesome before they had even done anything!
The story early was Perez using her finesse and speed but Grace being able to stop it with her strength. Perez slapped her HARD, which led to Grace exploding with anger. Perez used a thumb to the eye with Booker T, who trained her, somehow not seeing it. Vic and Booker are great on the mic together.
Perez took over and worked over Grace's arm. Her facial expressions were absolutely great. There were back and forth TNA and NXT chants. Perez kept working on the arm but Grace's power allowed her to escape. Perez was caught and slammed during a high cross body off the ropes. Grace missed a Vader Bomb off the ropes.
Perez kept taking the fight to Grace who slammed her with authority. Grace scored several near falls with big moves, including a spinebuster. The announcer did a great job putting this over as a legitimate historic moment. Grace stomped the hell out of Roxanne, who grabbed an armbar. Grace picked her up and hung her over the ropes.
Grace nailed the Muscle Buster but Perez kicked out, screaming, at the last second. So many little things Perez does perfectly. They battled to the floor. Perez hit a dive into a DDT on the floor. She then hit a double jump moonsault for a two count and locked in a crossface. This match is GREAT.
Perez went for the PopRocks but Grace blocked it and slammed her to the floor.
Tatum Paxley hit the ringside area and stole the Knockouts title. She went to leave but Dana Brooke aka Ash by Elegance came out of the crowd to stop her. Grace nailed Paxley and then Dana.
Grace returned to the ring and went for the Juggernaut Driver but it was blocked and Perez hit PopRocks for the pin.
This was a hell of a match. I wasn't in love with the interference but you had to give them an out to set up a rematch.
I'm guessing Tatum vs. Grace at TNA Against All Odds in Chicago. I'm curious as to how Ash fits in.
They aired a clip of the A&E ECW Biography. Bubba Ray Dudley and Paul Heyman were interviewed.
Sexy Red got Lola to twerk.
Galluis attacked Wes Lee backstage.
They teased a Cody Rhodes appearance on Tuesday on NXT.
