We head to the back where HHH was with Kayla. He has breaking news. He congratulated Liv, Nia and Gunther for their wins. He said that Drew McIntyre has been cleared to return to the ring. Damien Priest will defend against Drew on June 15 in Glasgow (which he said incorrectly, it's Glaz-GO) for The World Title.
Cole again wondered where next year's SummerSlam will be. There has to be something to that.
Cody Rhodes defends his Title against Logan Paul.
Paul out first, now the champ. I expect another sing-a-long. Yep.
The funny man from last show is the ring announcer. Lots of boos for Logan Paul. Pops for Cody.
It went back and forth early but then Logan got the upper hand. The dude is so good for how new he is to the business. He clearly loves it.
He got a two with a standing moonsault. The crowd does not appreciate him.
They are selling that Cody may have broken a rib but he found a way to hit a Disaster Kick.
On the floor one of Paul's Prime jabronis got in Cody's face so he took care of him. The other jabroni gave Paul knux and he hit Cody in the gut with them. Cole went nuts and Paul went over and jawed with him. Paul went to get at Cole after he was called a loser but Corey blocked him. Cody then came flying out of the ring and wiped out Paul. Logan blew the momentum. Cody got two with punches and a bionic elbow. Cody locked on the Figure Four. Paul sold it well and got to the ropes to break it. Cody hit the Cutter and got a two count. Paul came back and got a two with a Crossroads.
Down on the floor, Paul cleared the announce table and then put Cody on it. But Cody jumped to the barricade and did a cutter on the table. Like earlier, the thing didn't break. They must have reinforced that sucker. Cody had the win by count out but h told the ref no. Will he regret that?
Cody took a punch and landed on the Arabic announce table. Logan went to the top, took a sip of Prime and then launched from the top and that time, the table broke!
Paul brought him in the ring and hit a frog splash but Cody kicked out at two.
Paul punched him in the gut and told him that he hated him. Cody looks spent. Paul then took the ref out by accident. He hit a Vertebreaker but the ref was out. Cody told him come on, let's finish this. Paul nailed him in the nuts and then put on the Knux. The guest ring announcer grabbed Paul's leg. When Paul got free he threw a punch but Cody caught it. Cody hit three Crossroads and retained the belt.
Cody prevails in the end. Great match. Logan Paul is a prodigy, for sure.
