Logan Paul came out, so when Orton and Owens were heading to the Stadium, he escaped to the Corestate Center. WWE used to do this bit between Madison Square Garden and the old WWE NY Restaurant. On the screen, Theory and Waller were at the Stadium, but no Owens and Orton. You know what this means, and oh yes, they hopped the rail and attacked Paul, beating him down. They finished him with an RKO. The idea was Paul was ripe for the taking tomorrow.
Backstage, someone had attacked Dragon Lee. I assure you I had zero to do with it.
Zelina Vega vs. Electra Lopez is next!
Vega was accompanied by Rey Mysterio. Santos Escobar with Lopez.
Lopez gained control and locked on a submission, rag dolling Zelina. Vega escaped and caught her with several kicks and ran her into the buckles. Crowd was really quiet but started to get behind Vega's offense. Vega used the ropes for leverage to kick Lopez and nailed a DDT but Dominik Mysterio distracted the ref. Vega slapped him and Rey pulled him down but Lopez grabbed Vega and slammed her down with a sit-out slam and scored the pin. The crowd didn't like that.
Legado del Fantasma attacked Rey and Vega but Andrade made the save. I guess we know who Dragon Lee's replacement at Wrestlemania is. Poor Carlito! This reunites the old NXT duo of Andrade and Vega to boot. She gave him a big hug and Philly popped.
Next was Bianca Belair and Naomi came out for a promo. They introduced Jade and man, her entrance is just as impressive live as it comes across on television. She warned Damage CTRL they are in the Eye of the Storm. The X-Men's Storm is a character Jade is a HUGE fan of, by the way.
They went to a Jey Uso promo. Philly screamed YEET so loud, it was nuts.
Andrade offers to replace Dragon Lee. The LWO is overjoyed. So is Charlotte Flair, I am guessing.
Next up was New Catch Republic vs. Grayson Waller and Austin Theory.
This was solid action. The crowd was watching but not overly enthralled early. The bout was solid, won by Republic but then Judgment Day hit the scene and laid everyone out.
