FULL ROYAL RUMBLE 2024 BLOG

Roman Reigns is defending his Title against Randy Orton, LA Knight and AJ Styles.  Randy is out first.  Then AJ.  Good reaction.  

We went to a Slim Jim commercial.  We wouldn’t have gotten that if the Dangling Dingle Freak was still here.  Good riddance to bad rubbish.  That will be the only mention of the not-so-superfreak for the night.

LA Knight came out to a great pop.  

Slim Jim has a giveaway and fans in the crowd.  Like I said earlier today, I love them for their role in ridding us of the alleged Captain Defecation.  

Roman is out next.  He’s the man.  His entrance is soooooo cool. Paul Heyman is with him.

Knight got what sounded like the biggest pop of the three challengers.

Early on Roman hoped the three challengers hated each other more than him.  That was not the case.  They worked over Reigns and then all four went to the floor for plunder.  Roman and Orton were the first two back in the ring.  Randy dusted Roman and then AJ got into it with Randy.  Now they are all in there.

Roma when for a Superman on LA but ate a bunch of punches instead.  Knight did a powerslam on Orton for a two.  Knight is showing amazing athleticism during this stretch.  He his finish on Roman but AJ found a way to break it up.  AJ hit a Styles Clash on the champ.  LA broke it up this time.  Randy did the second rope DDT on Knight.  He is subtly selling the shoulder.  AJ was trying to come in from behind but he caught him with an RKO.  Then Knight.  He sold the shoulder and caught Roman coming in for a Superman with an RKO,  He had him but Solo broke up the count.  No DQs here folks.  Randy went after Solo but ate the Spike.  LA ate the Spike.  Solo then went to the floor to take out AJ but AJ moved and Solo wiped out the barricade.  That will leave a mark.  Roman was hindering want to so when AJ came off the top with the forearm, two count only!  This is awesome chant has begun.

AJ is up first.  He grabbed a chair.  He nailed Roman with it repeatedly.  Then he went after Knight.  Dumb move.  Keep your eyes on the prize.  He tried to get Randy but it didn’t work.  Roman caught Randy with a Spear out of nowhere.  Knight did a suplex and elbow on Roman.  Then the finish came and it was bowling shoe ugly in a good way.  Knight had a shot at winning but got tossed into the ropes and it WIPED out AJ.  He wasted Knight and them took out AJ to score the pin.  To some there weren’t enough moves maybe but to me, it was grown ass men pounding the snot out of each other and the champ retaining.  I loved it.

Time for Logan Paul to defend the US Title against Kevin Owens.  I have to say, I love that there are just four matches on this show.  With two Rumbles, it will run long.  No need to overdo it.  The bell rang and we’re off.  Paul thought going to the floor was a good idea.  Wrong.

But then it became right.  Paul went to work on KO’s injured hand on the floor.  Back in the ring, Paul just flew off the ropes in a way most vets can’t.  He was born to wrestle.  He has attributes that you just can’t teach.  

After some big spots, he went old school heel and went to work on the hand, including taking off the protective wrap.  

After taken a beating, KO came back.  He is selling his right arm though and then he went for a wanton and ate knees from Paul.  He went up to return the favor and KO moved this time.  Paul has some blood come from his nose.  Paul did an awesome Lariat and a big splash.  He was in control but then he told Graves he was about to superplex Owens and, well, he didn’t.

KO went for the Stunner but Paul kicked his bad hand.  KO countered but ate a big right from Paul.  KO kicked out at two.  The crowd is into it!  

One of Paul’s flunkies came out.  Logan took his eyes off of the prize and he and KO took each other out.  Theory and Waller came out.  Their gave Paul knux.  KO took them off of Paul’s hand and nailed Paul with them.  1-2……ref sees the knuckles and DQ’s KO.  In the moment, people will be pissed I am sure.  But just as I typed that, KO went back in and attacked.  He took him to the floor where he put Paul through a table.  I have no problem with the finish because this one isn’t over.  I think they dance again at WrestleMania.

I definitely want to see these guys keep this feud going.
