By Mike Johnson on 2024-01-13 19:00:00

Dirty Dango with Alpha Bravo and Oleg Prudius vs. PCO

Dango did mic work before the show where he said he hates TNA.

PCO had a big entrance in black and white where he was "brought to life."  As a big Universal Monsters fan, I loved the hell out of it.  It was all PCO early.  He nailed  a tope con hilo to the floor on Dango.  He nailed an inverted DDT and went to the top for a moonsault.  Bravo got into the ring and interfered.  The referee called for a DQ.  A screwy finish in the second match?  Are the Flying Elvises on deck?

Your winner, PCO!

They prepared to beat down PCO but Rhino, with theme music, came out for the save.  He dared Oleg to fight him.  Prudius tried to enter the ring but Bravo and Dango refused to let him enter.

Santino Marella came out.  He said he wasn't going to let things go down like this on the first night TNA returns.  He announced it was now a tag team match.  He then said it's three on three, with Jake Something joining Rhino and PCO...

Jake Something chared down the apron and dove in.  Everyone brawled.  PCO hit a moonsault from the top the floor.  The crowd loved the spectacle of all of this.    He nailed the Deanimator on Dango.   Something tagged in and nailed a series of short arm clotheslines.    Rhino was cut off and worked over in Team Dango's corner.  Bravo choked Rhino against the ropes.  PCO made the tag and hit a legdrop off the ropes.

Rhino and Prudius went nose to nose and battled back and forth.  Rhino shoulderblocked him down and called for The Gore.  Dango got involved but was slammed off the ropes.  Rhino went for the Gore but Bravo was shoved into it by Dango.  Dango was powerbombed.  PCO nailed the moonsault on Bravo and scored the pin.

Your winners, Rhino & PCO & Jake Something.

While the setup was screwy the crowd really enjoyed the six man action.  Everyone played their role well.

They showed footage of a mysterious couple arriving at the show.  Tom Hannifan said they promised worlds would collide.

Knockouts Tag Team Champions MK Ultra vs. ?

The announced wondered who would step up and it was the return of Rosemary and Havok, in those guises.   The crowd lost their minds for that reveal.  Decay was all in control early on.  Rosemary nailed some big German suplexes on Masha Slamovich.  Killer Kelly tripped her up, allowing Masha to rebound and nail a double stomp off the ropes for a two count.

Masha slammed Kelly atop of Rosemary and Kelly returned the favor for a two count.  The champions double-teamed Rosemary.  Kelly nailed a big kick to the face for a two count.  Rosemary finally made the hot tag and Havok cleaned house with big clotheslines.  She grabbed the champs and went for a double chokeslam but they kicked her.  Havok escaped and nailed a double clotheslines.  They went for a double suplex but she reversed it.  She nailed a legdrop on Masha but Kelly dropkicked her to break up the pinfall.

Masha nailed the Snowplow but Havok kicked out at one.  Kelly and Masha unloaded with kicks but was slammed together.  She nailed the double chokeslam.  The challengers double-teamed Kelly and scored the pin.

Your winners and new Knockouts Tag Team Champions, Decay!

A nice surprise across the board.

TNA President Scott D'Amore brought out Lucha Libre AAA's Dorian Roldan Pena.  He said he doesn't know if there's ever been a collaboration as mutually beneficial as the one between the two companies.  They aired a highlight reel of footage.  Dorian welcomed everyone to the first TNA PPV of the year and thanked Scott for the invite.  He said they've been wondering how they can bring more lucha libre and luchadors to the United States.  He said together they are going to change the landscape of the next year.  He thanked TNA for being incredible partners.   Scott asked that they make it official and brought out an agreement for the two promotions to sign.

X-Division Champion Chris Sabin vs. Hijo del Vikingo vs. KUSHIDA

As you might imagine, lots of fast paced action across the board early on before they all faced off.  KUSHIDA elevated them over the ropes to the apron and nailed a handspring kick on both, sending them to the floor.  He nailed a flip off the apron to the floor on Sabin.  KUSHIDA locked on a Hoverboard Lock on Vikingo, who made it to the ropes.  They went to a series of moves to spotlight Vikingo, who nailed a springboard into a rana on Sabin and some nice spinkicks. He nailed an inverted flip into a rana on KUSHIDA.

Vikingo locked up KUSHIDA for a submission but Sabin attacked him from behins.  Sabin whipped out some German suplexes.  All good action thus far.  Sabin missed a charge in the corner but recovered and locked on a Maple Leaf into an STF but KUSHIDA nailed a dropkick.  KUSHIDA locked up Vikingo's legs going for a Muta Lock but Sabin attacked and worked him over while Vikingo was trapped.  KUSHIDA freed himself and nailed some hard blows.  He nailed a hammerlock suplex while locking up Vikingo's legs.

KUSHIDA nailed a big lariat in the corner and tried to lock the Hoverboard Lock on each at the same time.  He nailed a Monkey Flip on Vikingo, who sailed into Sabin and hit a head scissor.  He nailed another.  Vikingo nailed a big moonsault to the floor on his opponents.  Super entertaining thus far.  He nailed a missile dropkick on Sabin.  KUSHIDA nailed one.  Sabin came off with a bodypress.  Everyone was too spent to capitalize and were down and out on the mat as the crowd chanted, "All these guys."

Sabin nailed a Michinoku Driver on Vikingo but KUSHIDA broke up the pinfall.  KUSHIDA was knocked to the floor.  Vikingo nailed a spinning kick.  He hit a Torture Rack into a GTS style move, drilling Sabin in the face with a knee.  He nailed a big springboard 450 splash on the ring ramp for a two count.  He went to the top but KUSHIDA kicked his legs out from under him.  KUSHIDA locked on the Hoverboard Lock while on the top then flipped him into the ring, holding the hold.  Sabin kicked him to break it up.  KUSHIDA locked on the Hoverboard but Vikingo came off the top with a stomp to KUSHIDA.

Sabin and KUSHIDA fired up each other with hard chops.  They battled on the apron, where Sabin hit a springboard Canadian Destroyer on the ramp. HOW IS THAT NOT THE FINISH??  Sabin nailed a big back suplex off the top on KUSHIDA.  He set for Cradleshock but KUSHIDA locked on the Hoveboard Lock.  Sabin powered out and nailed the Cradleshock for the pin.

Your winner and still X-Division Champion Chris Sabin!

This was absolutely incredible.  If you like big moves and crazy fast sequences and near falls, this was your jam.
