We are back and Seth Rollins makes his way to the ring.
Seth welcomes everyone to Raw. Seth says things have been heating up for him. After his confrontation last week, he feels more motivated than ever to be the best World Champion in this industry. Seth says if you thought 2023 was something, wait until you see what happens in 2024. That starts on Day One when he defends his title against Drew McIntyre. Say what you will about Drew, but . . .

Seth prepares for Drew as the challenger enters the ring.

Drew says he is not here for a fight. He is here to tell Seth he is proud of him. Drew says people in the back are kissing CM Punk's arse, but not you. You told Punk to his face how you feel and that is a true leader. You are on top of the world. You are the champion and you are on a roll. You are in front of your home crowd tonight. He asks Seth if it feels good. You get to go home with your family. Drew says he has been reflecting on the sacrifices he made and his family made. When a family member or parent gets sick. You want to be by their side when they are going through it, but they tell you to keep chasing your dream. Then they are not there any more. Drew tells Seth to look him in the eye. He doesn't want Seth's title, he needs his title to validate that his sacrifices are worth it. He needs to know that the hurt he has inflicted on his family was worth it. Drew says he will do whatever it takes to win the title from him.
Seth says we don't know how to feel about you. You say stuff like that and Seth says he wants to believe Drew but his words and actions don't match up. He doesn't know if he should believe him or call him out on his crap. Seth says he respects Drew because of what Drew said after Crown Jewel. He said he would fight his way back to a title match. Seth asks Drew what makes him think the result will be any different. You say you are different, but what are you willing to do? Are you willing to cheat or take shortcuts? You still want to blame others and shift the blame. You will do whatever it takes, except to take responsibility for your actions.
You need to realize that the only person keeping Drew McIntyre from being a champion is Drew McIntyre. Seth says he told a man last week that he hated him and he meant it.
