WWE SMACKDOWN REPORT: A SURPRISE APPEARANCE FROM EDGE, THE BLOODLINE IN TURMOIL?, US TITLE MATCH, AND MORE

We are back and Cathy is outside the trainer's room and Austin Theory stops by and he says he is upset that Santos is injured and he won't be able to wrestle.

Rey Mysterio comes out and tells Austin that Santos will be there for the match.

Edge is in the ring.

Edge says people are asking what the heck are you doing here since you aren't advertised and he has his Twenty Five Year celebration in Toronto next week.  Edge says he saw Calgary was on the list for the week before and it has been way to long since they have seen each other.  Edge says he needed an excuse to come up here.  Edge says he wants to have a match next week against a man he never faced before.  That man is Sheamus.

Edge says he has a history with Sheamus.  He is the reason he is back in the ring.  Sheamus lit the fire under his butt after nine years retired and triple fusion surgery.  Edge says Sheamus called him to be part of his Youtube show.  Edge says he wanted to get Sheamus on a mountain bike.  Edge says that he fell off the bike and he wondered if people would say if he can do that, why can't he wrestle.  A light bulb went off and he thought he could do it again.

Edge says he needed to see if he was ready before his return at the Royal Rumble.  He says he called Sheamus to see if he was ready to come back.  Sheamus came to his house and he became part of Edge's extended family.  They got in the ring every day and they kicked the crap out of each other.  Edge says he knew that he was ready.  Now he is in Calgary ready to prove it.

Edge brings out Sheamus, and he is joined by Butch and Ridge Holland.

Edge hands Sheamus the mic.

Sheamus mentions the Celtic Warrior workout and he says he has had the footage in his back pocket.  We see the footage that Edge mentioned.

Edge asks Sheamus if he needed to show his bare white butt on television.

Sheamus says that Edge has shown a lot more than that on TV.

Edge tells the red headed Yeti something he had in his back pocket.  He shows Sheamus on Edge's daughter's bike.

Sheamus says that Edge promised to burn the photo.

Sheamus says this is Edge's platform and he is happy that his chin isn't as big as Edge's.  Sheamus says in 2004 he was in a cross roads of what to do with his career.  He says he was working at a night club in Dublin and WWE was on tour.  He says he had the chance to go up to a lot of the people and everyone but one person gave him the cold shoulder.  The person who didn't was Edge.  Sheamus says that Edge didn't have to give him the time.  Sheamus says he knew that Edge was world class.

Sheamus says without that conversation, he wouldn't be standing in this ring.  

Edge tells Sheamus he appreciates him, but he wants to know if Sheamus will accept his challenge.  He says after the match, they can have a few shots of scotch.

Sheamus asks Calgary if they should have the match.  Sheamus says if Edge switches the scotch for a Guinness, he has a deal.  Sheamus tells Edge he hopes he didn't make a mistake.

We take a look at LA Knight winning the battle royal at SummerSlam.

We see what happened between Miz and LA Knight on Raw.

We have a video package for Hulk Hogan's birthday.

Match Number Three:  LA Knight versus Top Dolla (with Ashante Thee Adonis and B-Fab)

Dolla misses a splash in the corner when B Fab tries to distract Knight.  Knight with punches.  Adonis trips Knight and Dolla with a shoulder tackle.  Dolla chokes Knight in the ropes.  Fab hits Knight and Dolla chokes Knight in the ropes.  Adonis punches Knight.  Dolla chokes Knight.  Dolla gets Knight on his shoulders and Knight lands on his. Knight with punches.  Dolla sends Knight into the corner and Knight with a bulldog.  Knight punches Adonis off the apron.  Knight with the YEAHple's Elbow.  Knight with BFT for the three count.

Winner:  LA Knight

After the match, Knight gets on the mic and he wants to talk to ya.  He says it doesn't matter which show you are on and if you say you are awesome or if you are Uncle Phil, you know who they are talking about.

Adam Pearce wants to know if Santos can go because he has been cleared to wrestle tonight.  Santos says he can go.

We go to commercial.

Bobby Lashley, Montez Ford, and Angelo Dawkins are in a room and they are drinking.  

Bobby says this is a celebration of the future and unlimited opportunities.  He says when he sees them, he sees a lot of talent.  It is not untapped because you have done great things.  Last week, how did that feel?  

Dawkins says it doesn't get much better than that.  Ford says he feels that the job is not finished.

Lashley talks about what they can do together.  Power, control, and championship gold.

Ford says the sky is the limit. 

Lashley says it is time for new blood to run Smackdown.

Match Number Four:  Santos Escobar versus Austin Theory for the United States Championship

Theory attacks Santos from behind as Santos makes his way to the ring.

Rey, Cruz, and Joaquin check on Santos.

Austin says he wants to apologize for not getting to see Austin Theory live.  He says he wanted to defend the title but Santos is too week.  He wants a referee to come out and raise his hand.

Santos tells Rey to take his place.

Adam Pearce says there will be a title match.  Theory will defend the title against Rey Mysterio.

Match Number Three:  Rey Mysterio versus Austin Theory for the United States Championship

Rey attacks Theory and sends Theory to the floor.  Rey with a head scissors off the apron.

We go to commercial.

We are back and the match is joined in progress. 

Rey counters a back breaker and he sends Theory into the turnbuckles.  Rey goes up top and hits a seated splash.  Rey with a springboard cross body for a near fall.  Rey with a springboard moonsault and Theory catches Rey but Rey sends Theory into the turnbuckles.  Theory gets Rey on his shoulders and Rey counters into a sunset flip power bomb that sends Theory into the turnbuckles for a near fall.  Theory with a boot to the head.  Theory gets Rey up for A Town Down and Rey escapes.  Rey with an enzuigiri and a 619 to the back.  Rey drop kicks Theory into the ropes and Theory catches Rey on a 619.  Theory's back gives out on A Town Down.  Rey sends Theory into the ropes and hits a 619 followed by a splash for the three count.

Winner:  Rey Mysterio (new champion)

After the match, Santos, Joaquin, and Cruz celebrate with Rey.

We go to commercial.

We are back and next week, Edge will celebrate 25 years in the WWE and he will face Sheamus.  Rey Mysterio will be on the Grayson Waller Effect.  

Roman Reigns' music plays and he makes his way to the ring with Paul Heyman and Solo Sikoa.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Roman gets the mic and tells Calgary to Acknowledge Him.

Roman asks Paul where is Jimmy.  

Paul says he doesn't know.

Roman asks how doesn't he know.

Paul says he hasn't seen him all day.

Paul says he talked to Jimmy this morning and he was a little salty with him.

Jimmy appears at ringside and Roman, Solo, and Paul turn around to see him.

Jimmy makes his way into the ring and he is treated like Johnny Gaudreau or Matthew Tkachuk.

Roman tells Jim not to worry about them because they mean nothing.  He wants to be real about it.  Roman tells Jimmy he owes him one and he wants to know what Jimmy's price is and he will get it.

Want a new car?  Done.  Want a new boat or yacht?  Done

Jimmy says he wants nothing from Roman.  What he did at SummerSlam had nothing to do with Roman.  

Roman says Jimmy must be confused because he can do whatever he wants.  Do you want power or a position?  You can be the new right hand man.

Jey Uso's music plays and he makes his way to the ring.

Jey gets in Jimmy's face and he starts to pace.  

Jey says he is about to throw thirty-seven years down the drain if you don't explain yourself.

Jimmy says he did what he did because he loves Jey.  He did what he did not because of jealousy.  He says he did it because he was afraid.  He was afraid to lose Jey.  If you had won, you would become Tribal Chief.  What happens to The Usos?  You would have inherited some kind of power to make you like Roman.  You would have been corrupted.  Jimmy says he would never be able to lose if he watched Jey become a lying, manipulative asshole like Roman.

Jimmy says that is the truth.  He was afraid you were going to leave.  If you don't believe him, fine.  He wanted to tell Jey to his face.  It wasn't to take his shine, it was because he loves him.  If you want to kick his face off, thirty-seven years of pain, give it to him.

Jimmy prepares for the worst from Jey and Jey turns his back on his brother.  

JImmy walks to the other side of Jey and Jey turns away from Jimmy.

Jimmy leaves the ring.

Roman laughs and he says he told you.  If there is a perfect time for I Told You So.  You are going to mess this up because you are stupid and a hot head.  It isn't about you and your brother.  It is about one thing.  It has been like this for three years.  Roman tells Jey to ACKNOWLEDGE . . . 

Jey with a super kick and Solo attacks Jey.  Solo sets for a Samoan Spike but Jey ducks and hits a super kick.  Roman with a Superman punch to Jey.  Roman sets for a spear and Jimmy continues to slowly walk away.

Roman runs into a super kick and Jey with a spear.

Jey tells Jimmy to hold up.  He tells Jimmy to come to him.

Jimmy thinks Jey is going to hug him, but Jey hits Jimmy with a super kick.

Jey says he is out of The Bloodline, out of Smackdown, and out of the WWE.

Jey walks through the crowd as we go to credits.
