Gunther tried to bail to the floor but Drew flew over the top. Gunther cut Drew off when he went for the Claymore. This is heating up. Gunther got a two with a splash.
These guys are pounding each other big time. The chops are sick. Drew hit a Claymore out of nowhere, two count only!
The fans are chanting it’s awesome. The last match has been cleansed!
The chops they are throwing are crazy.
The finish came kind of out of nowhere when Gunther fought off of the top rope and hit a splash. He realized it didn’t work so he hit a powerbomb and got the pin. It was a really good match and Gunther comes out even stronger beating the former champ in the process.
Seth Rollins now defends the World Title against Finn Balor. Finn’s out first with a Seven written across his shoulder. You know why. Finn is alone. The champ is out next and the people are singing,. Seth is wearing the vest he work against Finn seven years ago. Great callback.
Finn attacked Seth as he took in the love from the fans but Seth came right back.
Finn went to work on Seth’s left shoulder. Seth fought back but Finn went back to the arm/shoulder.
Seth came back with three flying attacks to the floor. Cole just told us that Balor has been busted open in his mouth. He ain’t lying.
Finn just drove Seth into the barricade, like Seth did to him 7 years ago. After a pin attempt, Finn applied an arm bar to the worked arm.
Rollins came back with two buckle bombs and a frog splash but Finn kicked out at two.
Finn thought he was in Coup position but Seth git him with a superplex. Finn did a roll up but only got a two.
Seth is down again and Finn went for the Coup but Seth got up and hit a Pedigree for a two. The crowd is standing because out came Damien Priest.
Priest hit Seth with a punch and Balor hit a Pedigree but only got a two. Priest is shocked. Priest called in Dom and Rhea. While the ref was distracted, Priest offered the case to Balor to hit Seth but he missed the point. They argued and Seth hit a Stomp but got a two. Seth then took out Priest and Dom. Finn took advantage and hit the Coup but Rollins kicked out at 2. The Judgment Day are stunned.
Balor started yelling at Priest from the ring. Priest threw the case in the ring for Finn and went to distract the ring but Rollins smelled it and hit the Stomp on Finn on the case to retain his Title. Priest was shaking his head at Finn after the match since he screwed it up.
They worked their asses off and the finish will lead to some major drama in The Judgement Day. It looks like Finn has blown his last shot and it’s time Priest will challenge him as to who the leader of the group is.
Asuka now defends her Title against Charlotte and Bianca Belair. Charlotte is out first. She sure seemed like a heel with her yacht promo on Smackdown. I never expect her to be a babyface. She’s much better as a heel. I expect her to be one tonight.
Asuka is out second. Interesting. Her training video on Smackdown was awesome. She is a beast, and I mean that in the best possible way.
Bianca is out last, to a big pop. She is doing a little product placement by sipping on a C4 before she came to the ring. Her braid is gold. Hmm.
It’s all feeling out early.
I don’t know if it’s the way they are miking the crowd or not but they haven’t come across as very loud. It could be that it’s a football stadium but they aren’t crazy loud.
It may be because it was three way stuff. It’s hard to get a flow going with three people involved. Bianca took control and the crowd got into it more but it just hasn’t been clicking.
Charlotte hit a moonsault on both but they kicked out at two. Charlotte tossed Bianca to the floor and she hit her knee on the steps. She screamed and they send medics out to check on her. That left Asuka and Charlotte to fight each other. Asuka hit a superplex. They are walking Bianca to the back. Will she be back?
