MAIN EVENT JEY GETS HIS MAIN EVENT, CAN ASUKA RETAIN, SENOR MITB IS IN THE BUILDING, DREW AND GUNTHER ARE HERE TO CLEANSE OUR PALATE, TIME FOR SOME MMA, SLIM JIM BATTLE ROYAL, BROCK-CODY 3 IS UPON US, PAUL VS. RICOCHET: FULL SUMMERSLAM BLOG

Time for the Slim Jim Battle Royal.  I thought LA Knight would be last but he wasn’t.  AJ Styles was….until MVP brought out Omos.  He should NOT win.  This has to be LA Knight’s night.

Omos is tossing people early on.  It went along storylines early, like Santos Escobar eliminating Theory to set up they match this week.  Omos is dominant, for sure.  

Knight went to work on Omos but it didn’t last long so everyone teamed up and dumped him over the top.

Mix thought he tossed Knight but didn’t and then got tossed by Knight, to a big pop.

We are down to four.  Styles, Knight, Bronson Reed and Sheamus.  Knight dragged Reed over the top, to a big pop.  Down to three.

AJ was eliminated when Karrion Kross grabbed his leg on the Forearm attempt and Sheamus kicked him to the floor.  Knight got a massive pop on the elbow to Sheamus.  

Knight and Sheamus went at it for a few minutes and as the crowd was chanting his name, LA Knight hit the clothesline over the top to win the Battle Royal.  he mugged for the crowd after the match.

It’s exactly what it was supposed to be.  For all of the people who don’t understand good booking and thought Knight (and Cody, and Sami, etc.) was dead, uh no.  It’s only just begun.

After the match, they did a Slim Jim commercial and guess who was in it?  LA Knight!

Cole talked about the Variety article about the announcing changes.  Graves said it was an honor to be back working with who he called the greatest of all time again in Cole.  

Time for Ronda vs. Shayna.  Ronda got some boos coming out.  Shayna didn’t get a whole lot of reaction. It’s MMA rules.  They need to have Shayna kill her to get over.

The crowd is pretty quiet for this.  I think the should go to a fast finish.  Most wrestling fans don’t care about MMA.  Just as I said that Shayna kicked Ronda out of the ring.  But that isn’t it.  

Ronda won’t got down easy though.  She hit an MMA spot.  The crowd doesn’t seem to care.  I get what they are going for the crowd ain’t into it.  

Shayna is selling her arm but the drama isn’t working on the crowd.  Two docs came in to see if she is OK.  The crowd booed.  Monday tossed the docs.  Shayna got up when Ronda put the mouth on her.  Shauna locked on the Clutch.  Ronda did an arm bar.  I won’t even bother anymore.  I just want it to end.  It’s gone on way too long.  Oh wait, Shayna just choked her out.  I love Shayna and all, but MMA isn’t wrestling. I was just bored by this.  They took a shot but missed in a big way.  That should have been the second match.

They announced the attendance at 59,194 if memory serves.

Thank God Gunther and Drew Mac are on deck to follow that last match.  Let’s get this show back on track.  They are the two who can do it.

Gunther is pounding the snot out of Drew early on.

But Drew came back and now it’s time for clubbering.  It’s getting nasty now.  Drew’s already got a ripped up chest from the chops.
