WWE NXT REPORT: NORTH AMERICAN TITLE MATCH, MORE MATCHES FOR THE BASH, TONY IS BACK, DON'T TRUST A MAN WHO WORE A MASK, AND MORE

By Richard Trionfo on 2023-07-18 22:00:00

We are back and on May 25th, things changed for the family when that rat Joe Coffey got Tony arrested on fake charges.  That didn't happen.  Channing brings out Tony D'Angelo.

Tony takes the mic and he says he is back.  Tony wants to give a shout out to Stacks.  He wouldn't be standing here if it wasn't for Stacks.  He had the genius plan.  Tony says most of you, and Gallus thought that Channing was the rat.  Things aren't always what they seem?

Tony shows the plan, starting two months ago with Channing and Tony discussing the way to get the match with Gallus.

Gallus make their way to the ring.

Joe says he cannot believe what he is hearing.  You are the lowest form of life he ever met.  He calls Tony and Channing scum.  He says Tony might be a free man but you are going to wish you were back in that cell.  It will be a lot safer for you inside than on the out.

Tony tells Joe that face is the face of a man who had control but just lost it.

Channing says Mark and Wolfgang are going to lose the tag titles at the Great American Bash.

Tony tells them to get their shine box and shine those tag titles up for them.

Mark asks if they can pull off another scam at the Bash.  Wolfgang says they aren't going to make it to the Bash.

Gallus enter the ring and Joe pulls out a little bat, but you don't out weapon a 'group of Italians' and Tony and Channing hit Wolfgang and Joe with crowbars.  Mark is sent through the table with the food.

Carmelo and Trick walk in the back and they are met by Schism.

Joe says there is no need to target their flourishing family.  Ava says they are a collective group that works together.  Joe says their union will end when Carmelo loses his title.

Ilja shows up and Joe calls him the next NXT champion.

Ilja says that Joe is insufferable.

Jagger has some words for Ilja.

Joe is pushed into Hayes and a fight breaks out.

Elektra asks why does Thea think she deserves another title match?  Because she has a submission hold?  Elektra says she has an MMA fighter in her corner.  Lola says that Thea has no chance.

Match Number Four:  Thea Hail (with Duke Hudson) versus Elektra Lopez (with Lola Vice)

They lock up and Elektra with a few slams.  Elektra with an Irish whip and shoulders in the corner.  Elektra misses a splash and Thea gets a near fall with a rollup.  Thea with running double sledges and an elbow in the corner.  Thea with an exploder and a rolling senton.  Lola distracts Thea and Elektra goes for a suplex but Thea with a kimura and Elektra taps out.

Winner:  Thea Hail

After the match, Duke and Thea are in the ring.  Thea says she feels unstoppable now.  She make Eletrka tap out the same way she made Tiffany tap out.  Thea says she wants another title match.

Duke says if that is what Thea wants, then there is only one thing to say 'rematch'.

Thea tells Blondie to get out so she can kick her ass.

Tiffany Stratton comes out and says that Thea cannot call out the champ because she is rude.  You learn one move and you think you can conquer the world.  You want a rematch . . . she accepts.  She says it will be the easiest title defense since she already beat Thea.

Thea says she wants to add a stipulation to the match.  She wants a submission match.

Tiffany says she is the champion and she can make the stipulations, not Thea.

Thea puts Tiffany in the kimura and Tiffany taps out and she agrees to the stipulation.

Dom and Rhea are in the back and Tony D'Angelo and Channing Lorenzo walk by.

Tony tells Dom that Bennie from the yard says hi.

Rhea tells Lyra Valkyria that she told everyone she is a bad ass and then you lose to Jacy Jayne.

Lyra vows to prove Rhea right.

We see Cora in the back with her kendo stick and she is not impressed with what she saw.

We go to the face to face in separate rooms with Roxanne and Blair.

Vic asks Roxanne about her discussion with Booker.  Blair denies being 'Anonymous' and Roxanne says it doesn't matter.  She says she was getting some advice from Booker.  Blair asks Roxanne if she minded what happened to her before.  Now she will do it in front of her friends and family.  Blair says Roxanne had a great year, but that was last year.  This division is full of women, not little girls.

Vic asks Roxanne what will it take to win.  Roxanne says she is tired of being criticized for her size.  She says she will have to control her anxiety and show a side that the NXT Universe hasn't seen before.  You don't know what is coming.

Blair asks how can she keep all of those big dreams in her small body.  You have it or you don't.  Blair says Roxanne knows that she does because of what she has done before.  Austin is a short drive from Laredo so you can go home after you lose and don't come back to Orlando.

Roxanne gets up and leaves.
