Jersey J-Cup 2023 Opening Round Match: Tony Deppen vs. Lio Rush
The match begins with Deppen pie facing Rush after backing him into the corner, Deppen and Rush have a striking exchange in the middle of the ring. Deppen drops Rush with a shoulder tackle, Rush trips up Deppen and Deppen backs him into the corner. Rush mocks Deppen before landing a few slaps and an enziguri, Rush backs Deppen into the corner before landing a few strikes. Deppen blocks a kick from Rush before dropping him on the top rope, Deppen then hits Rush with an STO followed by a senton for a near fall. Deppen sends Rush out of the ring and he follows him out there before sitting him on a chair, Deppen fakes a dive before sending Rush into more chairs. Deppen gets Rush back in the ring before attacking his arm with a knee drop, Rush fights back and Deppen drops him with a back elbow strike. Rush misses a charge in the corner before Deppen lands an avalanche followed by a springboard code breaker for a near fall, Rush fights back and he has a striking exchange with Deppen. Rush ends the exchange by nailing Deppen with clothesline smashes, Deppen gets to the ring apron and he clocks Rush with a forearm strike.
Rush sends Deppen into the corner before landing more clotheslines, Deppen goes to the ring apron and Rush knocks him to the arena floor. Rush then hits Deppen with a suicide dive before getting him back into the ring, Rush then hits Deppen with a back suplex for a near fall. Rush goes to the top rope and Deppen rolls to the ring apron, Rush gets off the ropes and Deppen nails him with a headbutt followed by a slingshot stunner. Deppen looks for a tombstone piledriver before exchanging roll ups with Rush, Deppen then hits Rush with a tombstone piledriver for a near fall. Rush and Deppen exchange more strikes in the middle of the ring, Deppen ends the exchange by nailing Rush with a gut buster for a near fall. Rush recovers and he nails Deppen with an enziguri, Rush misses a head kick and Deppen nails him with a series of knee strikes. Rush fights back and he nails Deppen with multiple spears, Rush misses a stunner and Deppen nails him with more knee strikes. Deppen then hits Rush with a northern lights suplex for a near fall, Deppen misses a running knee strike in the corner and Rush eventually drops him with a modified piledriver. Rush then hits Deppen with a top rope frog splash for a three count.

Jersey J-Cup 2023 Opening Round Match: Billie Starkz vs. Charles Mason
The match begins with Starkz catching a swinging Mason in a roll up before landing a release German suplex, Mason leaves the ring and he goes after the fans until Starkz attacks him. Mason recovers and he sends Starkz into the ring post, Mason drags Starkz around the arena floor while using her hair. Mason gets Starkz back into the ring before nailing her with strikes from the ring apron, Starkz fights back and she drops Mason before kicking him in the head. Starkz goes to the top rope and she misses the swanton bomb on the ring apron, Mason again drags Starkz around the arena floor. Mason gets Starkz back in the ring before stomping away on her, Mason traps Starkz in the corner before choking her. Mason stands over Starkz while landing some strikes, Starkz fights back and Mason drops her with a forearm strike. Mason then hits Starkz with a back suplex for a near fall, Starkz tries fighting back and Mason tosses her across the ring before choking her along the middle rope. Mason hangs Starkz upside down in the corner before landing some strikes, Mason then hits Starkz with a flipping slam for another near fall.
Starkz fights back again and she nails a charging Mason with a few strikes, Starkz then hits Mason with a few German suplexes. Mason recovers and he briefly gets Starkz in a sleeper hold, Starkz escapes and she hits Mason with a German suplex for a near fall. Mason escapes a Gory Bomb attempt and Starkz still hits him with a tombstone piledriver for a near fall, Mason leaves the ring and he spits water in the eyes of Starkz during a dive attempt. Mason then hits Starkz with a DDT on the ring apron, Mason sits on the top rope while getting Starkz in a rear naked choke. Starkz bites the hand of Mason before slamming him back first on the ring frame, Starkz waits for Mason to return to the ring and she has a striking exchange with him. Mason ends the exchange briefly before slamming Starkz multiple times, Starkz then hits Mason with a spinning head kick. Mason trips up Starkz before smashing her head into the mat a few times, Starkz catches Mason in a roll up for a near fall. Starkz recovers and she hits Mason with a Gory Bomb, Starkz goes to the top rope and Mason catches her during a swanton attempt to get her in a rear naked choke.
Starkz gets to the ropes to eventually break the choke, Mason goes for the rear naked choke attempt and Starkz gets free. Mason then hits Starkz with a tombstone piledriver for a three count.

Jersey J-Cup 2023 Opening Round Match: Arez vs. Komander
The match begins with some chain wrestling between Komander and Arez, Arez gets Komander down before applying a pendulum hold to him. Komander gets free and he gets Arez in a pendulum hold of his own, Arez reverses things and he gets Komander back in the pendulum hold. Komander gets free and he drops Arez with an arm drag, Arez and Komander exchange some more arm drags for a short time. Arez then hits Komander with a spinning head kick before going to the ring apron, Komander traps Arez in the ropes before climbing on his back. Arez gets free of the ropes and he gets Komander in a modified abdominal stretch, Arez then gets Komander in a roll up for a near fall. Komander fights back and he knocks Arez out of the ring after landing a DDT, Komander goes for a dive and Arez kicks him in the head. Komander fights back and he hits Arez with a suplex for a near fall, Komander goes to the top rope and Arez avoids his shooting star press before landing a clothesline for a near fall. Arez keeps Komander down while running on his back, Arez then hits Komander with a double underhook gut buster for a near fall.
Arez gets Komander up before landing a modified suplex for another near fall, Arez sets up for another move and Komander counters with a stunner followed by a drop kick. Komander goes to the top rope and Arez leaves the ring, Komander then hits Arez with a suicide dive. Komander gets Arez back in the ring before landing a shooting star press for a near fall, Arez fights back and he hits Komander with a tilt-a-whirl backstabber for a near fall. Arez traps Komander in the corner while landing chops, Arez and Komander do some battle on the top rope until Komander sends Arez to the arena floor. Komander then hits Arez with another suicide dive, Komander gets Arez back in the ring to get a near fall on a pin attempt. Arez goes for a power bomb and Komander counters with a rana for a near fall, Komander catches Arez in another rana for another near fall. Arez then spikes Komander with a half nelson driver for a near fall, Komander nails a charging Arez with a knee strike before landing a super destroyer. Komander follows up by hitting Arez with a phoenix splash for a three count.

Jersey J-Cup 2023 Opening Round Match: Jonathan Gresham vs. Mike Bailey
The match begins with Gresham backing Bailey into the ropes before missing a chop, Gresham trips up Bailey and both miss their follow up strikes. Gresham then drops Bailey with a chop, Bailey pops back up and he drops Gresham with a kick. Gresham and Bailey have a striking exchange in the middle of the ring, Bailey ends the exchange by nailing Gresham with the Speedball Kicks. Gresham falls out of the ring and Bailey takes him down with a moonsault, Gresham pops right back up and he gets Bailey in an ankle lock on the arena floor. Bailey drags himself back into the ring and Gresham keeps the ankle lock applied, Gresham eventually releases the ankle lock. Bailey gets up and Gresham lands a few chops, Bailey fights back and he drops Gresham with a single leg drop kick. Bailey drops Gresham again before landing a standing shooting star press for a near fall, Gresham recovers to hit Bailey with a DDT followed by a forearm strike for a near fall. Gresham and Bailey have a striking exchange in the corner before both stumble out of the ring, Gresham immediately applies the ankle lock to Bailey.
Bailey gets Gresham to the ring apron before breaking the ankle lock and kicking Gresham in the head, Bailey goes for a moonsault knee strike and Gresham gets out of the way. Gresham gets Bailey in the ankle lock before landing a German suplex, Bailey recovers and he hits Gresham with a standing Spanish fly. Gresham recovers and he hits Bailey with a release German suplex, Gresham and Bailey have another striking exchange in the middle of the ring. Gresham eventually levels Bailey with a forearm strike followed by a lariat and Michinoku Driver for a near fall, Gresham follows Bailey around the ring while landing chops. Gresham and Bailey get into another striking exchange in the middle of the ring, Gresham trips up Bailey before smashing his knee into the mat multiple times. Gresham gets Bailey in a figure four leg lock and Bailey gets to the ropes after a long struggle, Bailey gets up and he has another striking exchange with Gresham. Gresham ends the exchange by hitting Bailey with a stunner followed by a German suplex, Bailey fights back and Gresham sends him out of the ring before landing a suicide dive.
Gresham sends Bailey back into the ring and Bailey avoids his dive, Bailey sends Gresham out of the ring before landing a suicide dive. Bailey gets Gresham back in the ring before landing some kicks, Bailey’s injured leg gives out and Gresham lands a forearm strike for a near fall. Gresham hits Bailey with another forearm strike for a near fall, Gresham then hits Bailey with a Michinoku Driver. Gresham goes for a shooting star press and Bailey gets his knees up, Bailey then hits Gresham with a tornado kick followed by a Flamingo Driver for a three count.
