Bray introduces himself and he says he has started to realize that he has been conditioned to be a certain way. When you are conditioned to be a certain way, you feel that change is impossible. I was conditioned to be strong and to take. I was conditioned that fear was respect. I started to look at the path I left behind me. It is filled in ashes and blood. I started to think why do I do the things that I do and can I actually change.
If I was LA Knight, I would know exactly how to handle this situation, and it makes me sad. I feel real strong about coming out here to apologize to LA Knight for what I did to him. I had a moment of weakness and I strayed from my path.
LA Knight comes out.
Knight says he has been thinking about the cheap shot heard ‘round the world from last week. Every time I think I about it, it makes me angry. Now you are going to apologize. I am conflicted. You talked about fear and respect. I look in your eyes and there is something that tells me that last week, the fact that I didn’t fear you maybe garnered him some respect. Knight says the rarest commodity around here is respect. You say you understand me and get me. Nobody has ever understood me or got me.
I am not sure what to make of your apology but you respect me.
Knight slaps Bray and gets out of the ring. He tells Bray now they are even and apology accepted. Knight says we are done and you go your way and I go mine.
Bray says we are even. There is a lot he wants to do to Knight but he won’t. He is going to fight his urges. The decision you make will change your entire life.
Bray offers his hand to Knight and Knight slaps Bray again.
Knight says he has wanted to do that all week.
An image shows up on the TitanTron and Bray stares at it and Knight.
We take a look at what happened after Shotzi earned her title match at Survivor Series.
Karrion Kross and Scarlett walk in the back.
The Usos stop Kross and ask if he is the fifth member.
Jimmy says it isn’t him.
Kross says he is not a follower.
Jimmy says we won’t see you when Sami faces Butch? You aren’t trying to make your name off the Bloodline.
Kross says when he takes the titles from Roman, it will be on his own time. He will not do it as part of a pack, he will do it on his own.
Match Number Three: Shayna Baszler (with Ronda Rousey) versus Shotzi
Shotzi focuses on Ronda on the apron instead of Shayna and Shayna with a forearm and kicks. Shayna with a knee and forearm to the back. Shotzi with a punch and an inside cradle for a near fall. Shotzi with a clothesline and Ronda tries to trip Shotzi and Shayna hits Shotzi from behind. Shayna kicks Shotzi in the corner. Shayna with a snap mare and a double wrist lock. Shotzi with punches and Shayna with a forearm. Shayna misses a knee and Shotzi with kicks and a rolling elbow. Shotzi with a scorpion kick and Shayna is pulled to the floor by Ronda.
Shotzi gets in Ronda’s face and then sends Shayna back into the ring. Ronda gets on the apron and she distracts Shotzi by playing with her hair. Shayna misses a clothesline and Shotzi with an enzuigiri for a near fall. Shotzi goes to the apron and Shayna pulls her back into the ring. Shayna with a German suplex for a near fall. Shayna sennds Shotzi to the floor and then goes to the apron. Shotzi with a drop kick and elbow followed by a wraparound bulldog. Shotzi with a back senton in the ropes. Shayna sends Shotzi into the ring post when Ronda distracts Shotzi. Shayna chokes Shotzi in the ropes but when Raquel’s music plays, Shayna releases the hold and forgets she is in a match. Shayna looks at Raquel and tries to stomp on the elbow but she misses. Shotzi with a rollup for the three count.
Winner: Shotzi
Megan tries to talk to LA Knight as Knight tries to exit the building. She asks if he is afraid of Bray but Knight says that his night is done, so he is going home.
We go to commercial.
We are back and people are pulling things off LA Knight who is face down.
They meet on the floor and then the New Day’s partner comes out.
Match Number Four: Gunther, Ludwig Kaiser, and Giovanni Vinci versus Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods, and Braun Strowman
The New Day, Kaiser, and Vinci fight in the ring while Gunther stares down Braun. Kofi sends Kaiser to the floor and then he sends Vinci to the floor. Kofi goes up top and hits a trust fall onto Vinci and Kaiser but they catch him and send Kofi into the apron. Gunther chops Woods.
Braun gets in the ring and the match is started. Gunther goes to the floor to talk to Vinci and Kaiser.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Woods with forearms to Vinci as he tries to get to the corner to make a tag. Vinci pulls Woods down. Kaiser tags in and Vinci with a spinebuster. Kaiser with a kick and then he knocks Kofi off the apron. Woods with forearms but Kaiser prevents the tag. Kaiser goes for a belly-to-back suplex and Woods lands on his feet. Woods kicks Kaiser away and Braun tags in. Braun with a shoulder tackle to Vinci. Vinci with a forearm and Gunther tags in. Vinci bounces off Braun.
Gunther with a chop and Braun does not like what happened. Braun chases Gunther around the ring and Braun knocks Vinci and Kaiser down with shoulder tackles. Braun gets Gunther up but Gunther gets to his feet. Gunther with a chop and Braun with a spinebuster for a near fall.
Gunther kicks Strowman in the leg and Kaiser tags in. Kofi tags in as well and hits a cross body off the turnbuckles. Kofi kicks Vinci off the apron. Kaiser avoids Trouble in Paradise. Woods tags in and they hit Midnight Hour for the three count.
Winners: Kofi Kingston, Xavier, Woods, and Braun Strowman
Kayla Braxton stops Braun Strowman going through Gorilla. She mentions the message sent to Gunther.
Braun says he is looking forward to winning the tournament and taking the Intercontinental Title from Gunther.
Ricochet says if Braun looks past the flippy flippers, it might cause you problems.
Next week, in addition to the two semifinal matches in the World Cup, Shotzi and Raquel Rodriguez face Shayna Baszler and Ronda Rousey. Drew McIntyre and Sheamus face the Usos for the advantage at War Games.
Match Number Five: Sami Zayn (with Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, and Solo Sikoa) versus Butch (with Drew McIntyre, Sheamus, and Ridge Holland) in a First Round Match in the Smackdown World Cup
They lock up and Sami backs Butch into the corner but misses a punch. Butch with a wrist lock and take down. Butch puts the hand on the mat and stomps on the elbow. Butch with a La Magistral for a near fall. Butch with a clothesline for a near fall. Sami with a kick and side head lock. Sami catches Butch on a leap frog and hits a sit out power bomb for a near fall. Sami punches Butch. Sami sends Butch over the top rope to the floor. Sami and the Usos want Sheamus, Ridge, and Drew to get involved. Sami sends Butch to the ring and Butch with a tornado DDT for a near fall. Butch with an enzuigiri in the corner and Sami grabs the leg when Butch goes to the turnbuckles. Butch kicks Sami to the mat but Sami pushes Butch off the turnbuckles into the ringside barrier.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Butch works on the wrist while both men are on the turnbuckles. Sami sends Butch to the mat and Butch with a forearm as Sami comes off the turnbuckles. Butch gets a near fall. Butch sets for a Brogue but Jey gets on the apron and Butch stops him. Sami with a rollup for a near fall. Butch with an enzuigiri. Jimmy distracts the referee and Jey with a kick to Butch’s head. Sami with a Blue Thunder Bomb for a near fall.
Everyone not in the match start to brawl at ringside. Drew and Solo go over the announce table. Jimmy and Jey work over Sheamus and send him into the announce table.
Butch pulls at the fingers and goes up top. Butch with a moonsault off the turnbuckles onto Jimmy and Jey. Butch is stopped by Sami and Sami with an exploder into the turnbuckles. Jey stops Sami from hitting a Helluva Kick. Butch with Bitter End for the three count.
Winner: Butch (advances to face Santos Escobar in semifinals)
After the match, Solo with a uranage to Butch. Drew punches and kicks Solo. Ridge sends Jimmy to the floor. Solo with punches to Drew. Ridge with uppercuts to Jimmy.
Roman Reigns’ music plays.
Roman with a Superman punch to Ridge and a spear to Butch. Drew takes off his shirt and Roman gets on the apron. Drew sends Solo to the floor and Roman with a spear to Drew. Sheamus gets in the ring and the suspenders are down. Roman and Sheamus exchange forearms. Sheamus gains the advantage but Sami attacks Sheamus from behind. Roman with a Superman punch to Sheamus and he sets for the spear.
Kevin Owens’ music plays before Roman can pose before the spear.
Owens with a super kick to Jimmy and then he gives one to Jey.
Owens gets on the apron and enters the ring.
Owens punches Roman many times and then kicks him in the corner. Sami gets in the ring and Kevin turns around to face off with him.
Roman with a Superman punch to Owens. Sami sends Ridge into the ringside barrier.
Owens kicks Roman when Roman goes for a spear. Owens with a kick and Stunner.
Sami has a shocked look on his face as Roman rolls to the floor.
