By Mike Johnson on 2022-05-30 00:44:00

Tony Khan

Khan was asked about MJF.  He said he's not going to comment on MJF at all.

Khan was asked about the length of the PPV.  He said he'll follow the feedback of the fans.  Tonight was different and they added things to the length of the show to help it commercially due to Game 7 of the NBA Playoffs.  He thinks it made a six figure difference.  The PPVs have all ended between 11:40-11:50 PM EST previously.    He didn't intend to tire out the fans watching on PPV and felt they had the best live crowd to date at this show.

He loved the wrestling on the Dynamite go-home show.

He said Punk vs. Hangman went on earlier than most UFC PPV main events do.

Dynamite coming to California for the first time this week.  Khan is excited about running more markets in Pacific and Mountain time zones.

Khan praised Hangman Page as champion.  He said when Page took time off last year, he doesn't think other companies would have held onto those plans for him but he believed in him.

Khan was asked about time management with owning Ring of Honor.  He said he's never been busier than he was in April and May.  Time is starting to open up for him.  He said he was interim booker for ROH and they recently closed the deal as it was a complicated asset transfer.  They made a deal and he wasn't sure it was going to close in time for the announcement he promised on AEW TV.  He closed that and it was an exciting time in AEW.    The Warner Bros. Discovery merger, plus Fulham F.C. and the Jaguars.

Khan said he never felt more confident about the future of the company, everyone who works for the company and the fans after meeting with Warner Bros. Discovery  management this week.

He hopes there can "be a future" with Ring of Honor with a weekly show and PPVs.

They were asked why they didn't do a Casino Battle Royal by Eric Denton.  He said in part because he didn't want to give away the potential winner of Punk vs. Hangman.

Khan noted that he had extended the PPV window in part so that Martha Hart could have as much time as she wanted to speak to the crowd.

Dax Harwood worked as a coach for Britt Baker vs. Ruby Soho.
