4/10/22 GCW Devil In A New Dress Recap

- Pollo Del Mar comes to the ring and welcomes everybody to the event.

- Effy gets the microphone before the first match begins and he says he came out to call out Jeff Jarrett, Effy mocks Nick Wayne and he calls him a child. Effy says he will have to work clean in front of the kids in San Francisco.

Effy vs. Nick Wayne

The match begins with Effy backing Wayne into the ropes before letting him go free, Wayne backs Effy into the corner and Effy shoves him away. Effy hits Wayne with a knee strike before getting him in a headlock, Effy proceeds to give Wayne a few noogies. Effy follows up by cracking Wayne with a series of chops, Wayne fights back and he drops Effy with a rana followed by a drop kick that knocks Effy out of the ring. Wayne then hits Effy with a suicide dive, Effy fights back and he cracks Wayne with a few strikes. Effy follows up by dropping Wayne back first on the ringside edge, Wayne fights back and he manages to send Effy into the ring post. Wayne gets Effy back in the ring before missing a charge in the corner, Effy keeps Wayne cornered before landing a knee strike and a modified pile driver-like move. Effy follows up by nailing Wayne with a back suplex and senton for a near fall, Wayne fights back again and he nails Effy with a fisherman suplex for a near fall. Wayne follows up with a code red on Effy for another near fall, Wayne goes to the top rope and Effy avoids his leap before landing a Zack Ryder for a near fall.

Effy mocks Jeff Jarrett before getting Wayne in a figure four leg lock, Wayne and Effy exchange blows while the hold stays on. Wayne eventually makes it to the ropes to break the hold, Wayne manages to send Effy out of the ring before landing another suicide dive. Wayne finds a door and a few steel chairs and he gets them into the ring, Effy makes it back into the ring and he nails Wayne with a few chair shots. Effy attacks Wayne with the door before placing it onto the chairs, Effy gets Wayne on the door and Wayne falls off after eating a strike. Effy gets Wayne back on the door before going to the top rope, Wayne gets up and he meets Effy on the top rope. Wayne nails Effy with a Spanish fly through the door for a near fall, Effy avoids a cutter from Wayne before landing a reverse DDT for a three count.

Winner: Effy

After the match, Effy gets on the microphone and he puts over Nick Wayne before shaking his hand. Effy says he has been trying to figure out how to get a rematch with Jeff Jarrett, Effy says he knows where Jarrett lives and he says Jarrett knows the dates for GCW events they could meet at. Effy says Jarrett cannot escape him and they can have a rematch anytime Jarrett wants.

Jordan Oliver vs. Jack Cartwheel

The match begins with Cartwheel working over the arm of Oliver for a few moments, Olive tries grounding Cartwheel by trapping his head in a front headlock. Cartwheel gets up and he goes back to work on the arm of Oliver, Cartwheel catches Oliver in a roll up before getting taken down again. Cartwheel and Oliver exchange some snap mares before Cartwheel misses a basement drop kick, Cartwheel catches Oliver in a roll up before Oliver nails him with a flapjack followed by a roll up. Cartwheel recovers and he catches Oliver in another roll up, Cartwheel then avoids a leaping cutter from Oliver. Cartwheel does a few cartwheels before exchanging some slaps with an angry Oliver, Cartwheel and Oliver have a striking exchange until Oliver drops Cartwheel with an enziguri. Oliver hits Cartwheel with a knee strike to the midsection before landing a meteora followed by a basement drop kick, Cartwheel goes to the ring apron to avoid a clothesline from Oliver. Cartwheel trips up Oliver before landing a slingshot swanton, Cartwheel sets up for a dive and Oliver avoids it by kicking him in the back. 

Cartwheel catches a leaping Oliver and he slams him before landing a splash for a near fall, Cartwheel traps Oliver in the corner before landing some strikes. Oliver gets angry and he exchanges more strikes with Cartwheel, Cartwheel ends the exchange by hitting Oliver with a side Russian leg sweep followed by applying an arm bar to him. Oliver uses a roll up followed by some strikes to get free, Oliver then hits Cartwheel with a head kick followed by a release German suplex. Oliver follows up with a brain buster on Cartwheel for a near fall, Oliver keeps Cartwheel down while applying the rings of Saturn to him. Cartwheel eventually makes it to the ropes to break the submission attempt, Cartwheel gets up and Oliver drops him with some chops. Cartwheel recovers to hit Oliver with a death valley driver followed by a basement cross body, Cartwheel also hits Oliver with a fisherman suplex for a near fall. Cartwheel goes to the top rope and Oliver nails him with a drop kick, Oliver meets Cartwheel on the top rope.

Cartwheel goes for a sunset bomb and Oliver lands on his feet before landing an Acid Kick, Oliver places Cartwheel on the top rope and he follows him up there. Oliver gets Cartwheel down with a super release German suplex for a near fall, Cartwheel and Oliver have a striking exchange in the middle of the ring. Oliver and Cartwheel exchange head kicks before Cartwheel nails Oliver with a poison rana, Oliver recovers to hit Cartwheel with a one man Spanish fly. Oliver looks for a pile driver and Cartwheel counters with a roll up for a near fall, Oliver then hits Cartwheel with a rope assisted Orange Crush for a three count.

Winner: Jordan Oliver

Kidd Bandit vs. Allie Katch

The match begins with some grappling between Bandit and Katch, Katch escapes a headlock from Bandit before scoring a headlock takedown on Bandit. Bandit gets free and Katch starts working on the arm, Bandit gets free and Katch gets tripped up a few moments later. Katch doesn’t get tripped up again and she manages to work over the arms of Bandit, Katch drops Bandit before applying a modified dragon sleeper. Bandit gets free and Bandit cracks Katch with a few strikes before sending her into the ropes, Bandit then cracks Katch with a 619. Katch avoids a leaping Bandit before landing a spine buster, Katch then gets Bandit into a Boston crab and Bandit makes it to the ropes. Katch follows up by dropping Bandit with a hard Irish whip into the corner, Katch then hits Bandit with a senton bomb for a near fall. Bandit fights back by hitting Katch with a few kicks and a modified uppercut, Katch recovers to hit Bandit with a seated senton followed by a cannonball. Katch holds Bandit down while landing some strikes to Bandit’s legs, Bandit fights back to nail Katch with a stunner from out of nowhere.

Katch lands a few jabs on Bandit before eating a kick to the back of the head, Bandit then hits Katch with the Dance Of The Fire God. Bandit follows up with a falling headbutt on Katch for a near fall, Bandit goes for a superman punch and Katch counters with a pele kick. Katch reapplies the Boston crab to Bandit and Bandit gets free with a roll up for a near fall, Katch recovers to hit Bandit with a knee strike for a near fall. Katch goes for a Pussy Pile Driver and Bandit counters with a roll up followed by a head kick, Bandit keeps Katch down while applying the Fujiwara arm bar. Katch gets free before the two exchange some more strikes, Bandit ends the exchange by hitting a charging Katch with a 619. Katch manages to trap Bandit in the ropes before landing a pile driver for a three count.

Winner: Allie Katch

Jimmy Lloyd vs. Masha Slamovich

The match begins with Lloyd escaping the grasp of Slamovich to get her in a headlock, Slamovich gets free and some chain wrestling takes place between them. Lloyd shakes Slamovich off of him and Slamovich looks for a triangle choke before eating a power bomb followed by a right, Lloyd follows up by nailing Slamovich with a release German suplex for a near fall. Lloyd holds Slamovich down while applying a chin lock to her, Slamovich gets free and Lloyd drops her with a super kick for a near fall. Lloyd leaves the ring and he returns with a door and a garbage can, Lloyd also sends Slamovich face first into the mat before throwing a bunch of chairs into the ring. Lloyd sets the door up in the corner and Slamovich catches him in a roll up for a near fall, Lloyd drops Slamovich before attempting to hit her with a steel chair. Slamovich traps Lloyd in the ropes before kicking him in the head and landing a clothesline for a near fall, Slamovich grabs a steel chair and she nails Lloyd with it until he falls out of the ring. Lloyd catches a chair thrown by Slamovich and Slamovich kicks it into his face, Slamovich leaves the ring and she nails Lloyd with a tornado DDT on the arena floor.

Slamovich finds another door and a crutch, Slamovich grabs the crutch and she nails Lloyd in the back with it. Slamovich sits Lloyd on a chair before nailing him with multiple kicks, Slamovich then sets up a door onto some chairs on the arena floor. Lloyd finds a steel chair and he cracks Slamovich with it, Lloyd finds another door and he sets it up on the arena floor and next to the other door. Lloyd grabs Slamovich and he drags her onto the ring apron, Lloyd nails Slamovich with a death valley driver through both doors on the arena floor. Lloyd gets Slamovich back into the ring for a near fall on a pin attempt, Lloyd then places Slamovich on the top rope and he follows her up there. Slamovich fights back and she gets him down before using a missile drop kick to send him through another door, Slamovich then hits Lloyd with a running knee strike and a spinning heel kick for a near fall. Slamovich follows up by hitting Lloyd with a Michinoku Driver onto a steel chair for another near fall, Slamovich then sets up a garbage can in the ring before getting Lloyd on the top rope. 

Slamovich meets Lloyd up there and she looks for a super rana, Lloyd counters with a super power bomb onto the garbage can for a near fall. Lloyd sets up a few chairs and he places Slamovich onto them before going to the top rope, Slamovich meets Lloyd on the top rope before hitting him with a super pile driver onto the chairs. Slamovich then hits Lloyd with a release German suplex followed by a package piledriver for a three count.

Winner: Masha Slamovich

Midas Kreed vs. Titus Alexander

The match begins with Alexander jumping Kreed before the bell sounds, Alexander sends Kreed out of the ring and he follows him out there before landing some strikes. Kreed fights back and Alexander sends him face first into the mat, Alexander pretends to throw Kreed into the crowd before sending him back into the ring. Alexander sends Kreed into the corner before landing an avalanche, Kreed fights back to hit Alexander with a super kick followed by a tornado DDT. Alexander falls out of the ring and Kreed nails him with a suicide dive, Kreed gets Alexander back into the ring before landing a 450 splash for a near fall. Kreed goes for a springboard move and Alexander nails him in midair with a drop kick, Alexander then hits Kreed with a choke breaker for a near fall. Alexander traps Kreed in the ropes before choking him on the middle rope, Kreed tries to fight back and Alexander nails him with a back breaker for a near fall. Kreed fights back again and Alexander nails him with a super spine buster for a near fall, Alexander keeps Kreed down while kicking him in the back.

Alexander follows up by nailing Kreed with an avalanche followed by a brain buster for a near fall, Kreed gets up and he hits Alexander with a few strikes followed by a rana. Kreed looks for a cutter and Alexander counters with a knee strike for a near fall, Alexander traps the arms of Kreed while stomping away on him. Kreed then hits Alexander with a destroyer from out of nowhere followed by a spinning head kick for a near fall, Kreed goes for the Rainbow Cutter and Alexander counters with a snake eyes. Alexander looks for a suplex and Kreed counters with a stunner followed by a Rainbow Cutter, Alexander then falls out of the ring. Kreed sets up for a dive and Alexander meets him on the top rope, Alexander gets Kreed off the ropes before landing a chaos theory. Alexander then hits Kreed with a Michinoku Driver for a three count.

Winner: Titus Alexander

D-Rogue & South Pacific Savages (Juicy Finau & Journey Fatu) vs. Second Gear Crew (Mance Warner, AJ Gray & Matthew Justice)

The match begins with Warner and Fatu exchanging some chops, Justice tags in and he also exchanges strikes with Fatu. Gray tags in and he eventually drops Fatu with a lariat after exchanging a few strikes. D-Rogue hits the ring and he gets double choke slammed by Gray and Warner, Finau hits the ring and he attacks all three members of the opposing team. Warner pokes the eyes of Finau before Justice and Gray hit him with a total elimination, Gray climbs to the top rope and he leaps onto members of the opposing team. Gray gets caught and hit with a steel chair before being sent into the ring post, Justice grabs a steel chair and he attacks the opposing team with it. Warner finds a crutch and he hits some people with it as all the action spills to the arena floor, Finau grabs a steel chair and he nails Gray with it. Finau goes after Warner with a trash can lid while Gray hits Fatu with a steel chair, Justice grabs a steel chair and he hits Finau with it. Gray gets Fatu on the ring apron and Fatu knocks him onto a chair after landing a super kick, Fatu leaps off of the ring apron and he lands on a seated Gray.

D-Rogue then takes out Justice with a suicide dive that sends them both crashing into a bunch of chairs, Finau sets up for a dive and everybody gets out of the way. Warner grabs a microphone and he distracts Finau so Justice can hit him with a steel chair, Finau recovers and he knocks Justice out of the ring. Finau gets Justice back into the ring while everybody else battles on the arena floor, Finau climbs the ropes and he nails Justice with a splash for a near fall. Warner grabs a steel chair and throws it into the face of Fatu, Gray sets up a door in the corner while battling Fatu in the ring. Fatu catches a leaping Gray and he power slams him through the door. Warner hits the ring and he sends a charging Fatu out of the ring, D-Rogue attacks Warner and he nails him with a multitude of strikes. Justice hits D-Rogue with a steel chair from outside the ring, Warner then hits D-Rogue with a chair before crushing his balls with a crutch shot. Justice and Warner set up a door onto some chairs while everybody else is outside the ring, Finau gets in the ring and he hits his opponents with a trash can lid. 

Finau gets Warner and Justice in the Tongan death drip before placing both on the door, Finau climbs to the top rope and Warner hits him with the trash can lid. Warner and Justice meet Finau on the ropes and Gray follows to assist, Justice and Warner hit Finau with a superplex through the door for a few near falls. D-Rogue and Fatu break up more pinfall attempts from the Second Gear Crew, Gray tries attacking Finau with lariats and his teammates all join in to eventually drop him. Fatu returns and he hits multiple people with Samoan drops before eating a chair shot, Gray and Justice then hit Fatu with a double spear. D-Rogue attacks his opponents before eating a chair shot from Warner, Warner hits D-Rogue with a DDT before Gray and Justice land a double splash for a three count.

Winners: Second Gear Crew (Mance Warner, AJ Gray & Matthew Justice)

After the match, the South Pacific Savages turn on D-Rogue.

Dark Sheik w/Pollo Del Mar vs. Joey Janela

The match begins with Janela attacking Del Mar before the bell sounds, Sheik then hits Janela with a knee strike followed by a spinning head kick. Janela leaves the ring and Sheik nails him with a suicide dive, Sheik follows up with a diving tornado DDT on Janela that sends both onto a pile of chairs. Sheik gets Janela back into the ring before going to the top rope, Janela attacks Sheik and he nails her with a few strikes. Janela climbs the ropes and cracks Sheik with some headbutts, Janela follows up by landing a superplex on Sheik. Janela traps Sheik in the corner before landing a chop, Janela drops Sheik before kicking her in the back for a near fall. Janela then nails Sheik with a running back elbow smash, Janela keeps Sheik down before applying a head scissors to her. Sheik gets free and Janela quickly drops her before taunting the crowd, Sheik fights back and she drops Janela before going to the top rope. Janela catches a leaping Sheik before landing a sit out power bomb, Janela drags Sheik to the ring apron before Sheik gets back into the ring.

Sheik hits Janela with a super kick followed by sliced bread on the ring apron, Sheik gets Janela back into the ring before landing a top rope guillotine leg drop for a near fall. Sheik leaves the ring before throwing doors and chairs back into it, Janela quickly attacks Sheik when she returns to the ring. Janela and Sheik exchange some roll ups for a few near falls, Sheik ends that exchange after nailing Janela with a rana. Janela recovers to hit Sheik with a lariat followed by a brain buster, Janela grabs a steel chair and he nails Sheik with it. Janela sets up a door onto some chairs before placing Sheik on the top rope, Janela sets up for a superplex and Del Mar interferes to get Janela off the ropes. Janela attacks Del Mar and he places her on the top rope alongside Sheik, Del Mar gets free and Janela gets power bombed through the table. Sheik then hits Janela with a coast to coast for a near fall, Janela leaves the ring and Sheik follows him out there while landing a few strikes. 

Sheik grabs a door and she sets it up on some chairs before eating a chair shot from Janela, Janela places Sheik on the door before leaping off of a stage with an elbow drop to put her through the door. Janela gets Sheik back in the ring to get a near fall on a pin attempt, Sheik tries getting up and Janela nails her with a head kick followed by a pile driver for another near fall. Janela leaves the ring before placing a chair on the downed Sheik, Janela then hits Sheik with a top rope double stomp for a near fall. Janela misses a super kick attempt and Sheik punches him in the balls before landing a German suplex for a near fall, Janela and Sheik have a striking exchange in the middle of the ring. Janela ends the exchange by nailing Sheik with a super kick for another near fall, Janela leaves the ring before throwing more chairs back into it. Janela sets up some of the chairs before hitting Sheik with one of them, Janela grabs Sheik and he places her on the top rope before following her up there. 

Janela goes for a superplex and Sheik blocks it while landing a few strikes, Sheik hits Janela with a driver through the chairs for a three count.

Winner: Dark Sheik w/Pollo Del Mar 

Minoru Suzuki vs. “Speedball” Mike Bailey

The match begins with Suzuki and Bailey exchanging some kicks, Suzuki ends the exchange while working over the arm of Bailey. Bailey gets free and he goes to work on the arm of Suzuki, Suzuki recovers and he looks for the arm bar on Bailey. Bailey gets free and he briefly gets Suzuki in a headlock, Suzuki gets free and Bailey attacks him with Speedball Kicks. Bailey then knocks Suzuki out of the ring after landing an enziguri, Suzuki gets back to the ring apron before catching Bailey in a rope assisted arm bar. Suzuki drags Bailey out of the ring before throwing him into a bunch of chairs, Suzuki grabs a steel chair and he attacks Bailey with it. Suzuki drags Bailey around the arena floor while cracking him with some strikes, Suzuki gets Bailey in an ankle lock and Bailey tries grabbing a fan to get free. Suzuki drags Bailey to the arena floor before applying an STF to him, Suzuki argues with the referee before Bailey cracks him with a few strikes. Suzuki fires back and he drops Bailey with a single chop, Suzuki waits for Bailey to get up before exchanging more strikes with him. Suzuki gets Bailey back into the ring before wrenching away on his arm, Suzuki releases the arm of Bailey before stomping away on him. 

Bailey recovers and he nails a charging Suzuki with a diving mid-kick, Suzuki tries getting up as Bailey nails him with a variety of kicks followed by a twisting splash for a near fall. Suzuki recovers to attack the knee of Bailey before dropping him and landing a penalty kick for a near fall, Bailey gets up and he has another striking exchange with Suzuki. Bailey trips up Suzuki before nailing him with a head kick, Bailey sends Suzuki out of the ring before nailing him with a triangle moonsault. Bailey gets Suzuki back into the ring and they trade a ton more strikes, Suzuki trips up a charging Bailey with a leg kick. Suzuki looks for a pile driver and Bailey counters with a back body drop before landing a moonsault knee strike, Bailey then nails Suzuki with a buzzsaw kick for another near fall. Bailey follows up by hitting Suzuki with a Speedball Kick, Bailey misses the Ultimate Weapon and Suzuki gets him in a sleeper hold followed by a forearm strike. Suzuki then hits Bailey with a Gotch style pile driver for a three count.

Winner: Minoru Suzuki

After the match, Minoru Suzuki raises the hand of Mike Bailey.
