GAME CHANGER WRESTLING IN CALIFORNIA: REPORTS FROM LAST WEEK'S FITE.TV BROADCASTS

Game Changer Wrestling returned to Los Angeles, CA last weekend at the Ukranian Cultural Center.  Here are the reports on those events, which streamed live on FITE.TV:

4/9/22 GCW Paranoid Recap

Joey Janela vs. Gringo Loco

The match begins with Janela attacking Loco from behind before the bell sounds, Janela chokes Loco in the corner. Janela keeps Loco cornered while landing several strikes on him, Loco fights back and Janela drops him with a shoulder tackle. Loco recovers and he cracks Janela with a leg lariat, Loco comes forward and Janela manages to send him into the corner, Janela follows up by clotheslining Loco out of the ring. Janela fakes a dive and Loco trips him up to send him crashing to the arena floor, Loco gets Janela back into the ring and Janela is quick to leave again. Janela grabs Loco and he sends him into the ring post, Loco takes a seat and Janela nails him with a pump kick to the face. Janela grabs Loco and he drags him into the crowd before dragging him up a ramp, Janela charges at Loco and Loco nails him with a super kick. Loco hits Janela with a moonsault from the top of a staging area, Loco picks up Janela before cracking him with a few strikes. Loco gets Janela back in the ring before missing a split legged moonsault, Janela keeps Loco down while landing a few fist drops.

Janela follows up by nailing Loco with a hard Irish whip into the corner, Janela keeps Loco down while landing more strikes. Janela keeps Loco down while applying a kravat to him, Janela transitions to a chin lock on a downed Loco. Loco fights back and Janela quickly drops him after landing more strikes, Loco fights back and he nails Janela with a handspring tornado DDT. Loco sends a charging Janela into the corner before landing a tilt-a-whirl slam for a near fall, Loco follows up by landing a frog splash on Janela for another near fall. Loco places Janela on the top rope and he follows him up there, Loco sets up for a super electric chair driver and Janela escapes. Janela goes for a sunset bomb and Loco manages to land on his feet, Loco then hits Janela with an enziguri. Janela and Loco exchange strikes until Janela drops Loco with a lariat, Loco recovers to hit Janela with a falcon arrow for a near fall. Loco goes for a top rope moonsault and Janela gets his feet up, Janela then nails Loco with a pile driver for a near fall. Janela leaves the ring and he returns with a door, Janela eventually sets the door up on a few chairs while Loco stays down.

Janela goes to the top rope and he drags Loco up there as well, Janela nails a swinging Loco with a super side effect through the door for a near fall. Janela places a piece of the broken door onto Loco before landing a top rope double stomp for another near fall, Janela grabs a chain and he wraps it around his fist before nailing Loco with several strikes. Janela leaves the ring and he returns with another door, Loco recovers to hit Janela with a pop up power bomb. Loco places Janela on top of the door before landing a few strikes, Loco goes up to the top rope before landing a double jump moonsault for a near fall. Loco places Janela on the top rope and he follows him up there, Loco sets up for a super electric chair driver before Janela counters with a super poison rana followed by an x-factor. Janela then hits Loco with a super kick for a three count. 

Winner: Joey Janela

GCW Extreme Championship: AJ Gray (C) vs. Kevin Blackwood

The match begins with Gray backing Blackwood into the corner before letting him go free, Gray and Blackwood exchange shoves and strikes in the middle of the ring. Gray gets Blackwood in a headlock before dropping him with a shoulder tackle, Gray follows up by nailing Blackwood with a chop block. Gray keeps Blackwood near the ropes while landing some chops, Gray then drops Blackwood with a back drop suplex for a near fall. Blackwood fights back and another striking exchange breaks out between them, Blackwood ends the exchange by dropping Gray with a back drop suplex of his own. Blackwood kicks the arm of Gray before wrenching it around the ropes, Blackwood corners Gray before stomping away on him. Gray fights back and another striking exchange takes place between them, Gray goes for a lariat and Blackwood manages to counter into an arm bar. Blackwood transitions into the rings of Saturn on Gray and Gray makes it to the ropes, Blackwood gets up and he attacks Gray with multiple kicks. Blackwood traps Gray in the corner while landing more chops, Blackwood gets Gray on the top rope before taking him down with an arm drag.

Gray fights back and he manages to drop Blackwood with a spinning heel kick, Gray drops Blackwood a few more times before landing a brain buster for a near fall. Gray sets up for a choke slam and Blackwood gets free, Gray recovers and he nails Blackwood with a sit out choke slam for a near fall. Gray looks for a pile driver and Blackwood avoids it before landing a striking combination, Blackwood then nails Gray with a middle rope double stomp followed by a death valley driver for a near fall. Blackwood goes back to the top rope and Gray meets him up there a short time later, Gray then hits Blackwood with a superplex for a near fall. Gray goes back to the top rope and Blackwood meets him there before landing a super exploder suplex. Blackwood then nails Gray with a shining wizard for a near fall, Blackwood then hits Gray with a head kick followed by a tombstone pile driver for another near fall. Gray recovers and he hits a charging Blackwood with a lariat for a one count, Blackwood and Gray have another striking exchange. Gray ends the exchange by nailing Blackwood with another lariat for a three count.

Winner: AJ Gray, still your GCW Extreme Champion

Jack Cartwheel vs. Chris Bey

The match begins with Bey flipping off Cartwheel before Cartwheel forces him to do a cartwheel, Cartwheel drops Bey with a few arm drags. Bey fights back and Cartwheel nails him with a monkey flip, Bey stands on the hands of Cartwheel before landing a basement drop kick. Cartwheel fights back and Bey knocks him out of the ring, Bey also leaves the ring and he nails Cartwheel with some strikes. Bey picks up Cartwheel and he sends him into the ring post, Bey places Cartwheel on a chair before trapping his arms in some other chairs while pulling back on them. Bey gets Cartwheel back in the ring to get a near fall on a pin attempt, Bey keeps Cartwheel down while pulling back on his arms and legs. Cartwheel gets free and Bey nails him with a super kick, Bey then hits Cartwheel with a handstand European uppercut for a near fall. Cartwheel and Bey take their battle to the ring apron before Bey sends Cartwheel into the ring post. Bey gets Cartwheel back in the ring before stomping away on him, Cartwheel gets up and Bey gets him in an abdominal stretch. 

Cartwheel gets free and he manages to drop Bey a few times before landing a spine buster, Cartwheel and Bey battle back to the ring apron. Cartwheel and Bey battle to the ropes, Cartwheel knocks Bey off and Bey recovers to nail a leaping Cartwheel with a super kick for a near fall. Bey then nails Cartwheel with a code red for another near fall, Bey looks for a springboard move and Cartwheel trips him up. Cartwheel then nails Bey with a snap German suplex and a sit out power bomb for a near fall, Cartwheel goes to the top rope and Bey avoids him when he leaps off. Bey then nails a stunned Cartwheel with an enziguri, Bey goes to the top rope and Cartwheel catches him as he leaps off to land a death valley driver. Cartwheel goes to the top rope and Bey drops kicks him off to the arena floor, Bey sets up for a dive and Cartwheel nails him with a strike to prevent it. Cartwheel goes back to the top rope and Bey rolls to the arena floor, Cartwheel then hits Bey with a suicide dive. Cartwheel gets Bey in the ring before missing a phoenix splash attempt, Bey then hits Cartwheel with a Kudo Driver for a three count.

Winner: Chris Bey

Scramble Match: Jimmy Lloyd vs. Jordan Oliver vs. Lucas Riley vs. B-Boy vs. Damian Drake vs. Dark Sheik

The match begins with an all out brawl between all of the competitors, Drake battles Riley and Oliver as half of the competitors are cleared from the ring. Riley trips up Oliver before nailing him with a knee strike, Drake attacks Riley before nailing him with a basement drop kick. Oliver sends Drake into Riley before nailing Riley with a missile drop kick, Sheik returns and she nails Oliver with a slingshot leg drops followed by a slingshot swanton bomb. Sheik keeps B-Boy from getting in the ring before hitting Drake with a release German suplex, Sheik hits Riley with a German suplex while getting a near fall on Drake. Lloyd returns and he blocks a tornado DDT from Sheik before spiking her with a rope assisted pile driver for a near fall, Riley attacks Lloyd and he nails him with a destroyer for a near fall. Oliver tries attacking Riley on the ring apron and Riley fends him off, Lloyd meets Riley on the top rope and B-Boy briefly attacks Lloyd. Several wrestlers battle in the corner and a tower of doom takes place, Drake and Oliver exchange blows in the middle of the ring. B-Boy returns and he eats a double knee strike from Oliver, Oliver then hits Drake with a cover before taking someone out with a suicide dive.

Oliver misses a double stomp and Riley nails him with a stunner, Lloyd returns and he hits Riley with a death valley driver for a near fall. Sheik returns to hit Riley with a double stomp before landing a single legged stomp on Lloyd, B-Boy gets Sheik and he nails her with a sit out driver on the ring apron. Oliver returns to take everybody out with a suicide dive, Drake gets B-Boy back in the ring and B-Boy nails him with a brain buster. Riley hits the ring and B-Boy corners him alongside Drake before landing a corner drop kick on both, B-Boy grabs Sheik and Sheik fails at a low blow attempt. B-Boy snaps the arm of Sheik before getting her with a  modified fish hook cross face, a bunch of wrestlers break up the submission on Sheik. B-Boy verbally flips off the competitors and everybody nails him with super kicks, everybody quickly turns on each other and they all take each other out. Lloyd gets Drake on his shoulders and Sheik causes a poison rana to happen between the two, Riley attacks Sheik and Sheik nails him with a sit out driver for a three count.

Winner: Dark Sheik

GCW Tag Team Championships: The Briscoes (Mark & Jay) (c) vs. Bussy (Allie Katch & Effy)

The match begins with Effy working over the arm of Mark, Mark drags Effy to the mat while wrenching on his arm. Effy gets up and Mark gets him back down with a headlock, Effy gets free after briefly catching Effy in a head scissors. Effy follows up by nailing Mark with an atomic drop followed by a back body drop, Effy corners Mark before nailing him with an avalanche. Mark fights back before landing a top rope tomahawk chop on Effy, Katch and Jay are tagged into the match. Jay backs Katch into the corner before letting her go free, Katch recovers to drop Jay with an arm drag. Katch looks to drop Jay with a shoulder tackle before eating a rana, Mark attacks Effy and a brawl takes place between both teams on the arena floor. Jay grabs a shirt from a fan and he chokes Katch with it, Mark sends Effy into the crowd and some chairs. Effy returns to attack Jay and Mark hits Effy from behind with a door, the door is set up on some chairs on the arena floor as The Briscoes double team Effy. Mark finds another door and he makes a double decker stack of doors on the arena floor, The Briscoes get Effy on the ring apron and he fights back against both. 

Effy throws Mark off the top rope and through both doors that were on the arena floor, Effy gets back in the ring to attack a cornered Jay for a near fall. Effy and Katch double team Jay for another near fall, Mark returns and Effy nails him with a TKO before applying a dragon sleeper to him. Jay returns and he nails Effy with a chair throw to the head, The Briscoes corner Effy before Mark lands a chair assisted cannonball on him, Mark grabs the chair and he nails Effy with it. Jay then hits Effy with a hangman's neck breaker, Katch returns and Mark dumps her out of the ring. The Briscoes get another door in the ring and they place it in the corner before attacking Effy again, Katch returns and she exchanges blows with Mark. Jay then hits Katch with a death valley driver through the door, The Briscoes grab pieces on the broken door and they attack Effy with them. Effy escapes the grasp of Mark to attack both opponents with some strikes, Katch tags in and she hits Jay with a seated senton before hitting both foes with multiple avalanches and cannonballs. Katch then hits both Briscoes with a double northern lights suplex for a near fall, The Briscoes fight back to corner and attack Katch. 

The Briscoes set up for the doomsday device and Effy breaks it up, Bussy then hits Jay with a doomsday device for a near fall. Mark winds up taking out the referee with a Froggy Elbow, everybody stays in the ring as a brawl breaks out between both teams. Jay eventually nails Katch with a Jay Driller and the referee was still out, Effy returns to the ring and he eats an elevated neck breaker from The Briscoes. The Briscoes keep Katch in the ring while acquiring some steel chairs, Mark throws a chair into the head of Katch and Jay follows suit. The Second Gear Crew hit the ring and they destroy The Briscoes with chair shits, Katch hits Mark with a Pussy Pile Driver onto Jay for the three count.

Winners: Bussy (Allie Katch & Effy), your new GCW Tag Team Champions

Masha Slamovich vs. Chris Dickinson

The match begins with Slamovich attacking Dickinson with a suicide dive as he was making his entrance, Slamovich gets Dickinson back in the ring before knocking him out with a missile drop kick. Dickinson gets back in the ring and he drops Slamovich with a back elbow smash, Dickinson traps Slamovich in the corner while landing some strikes. Dickinson then tosses Slamovich across the ring before stomping away on her, Dickinson follows up with a neck breaker on Slamovich for a near fall. Dickinson drops Slamovich again before kicking her in the back. Slamovich tries fighting back and Dickinson levels her with a chop, Dickinson keeps Slamovich down while choking her. Dickinson stands Slamovich up before nailing her with a back suplex for another near fall, Slamovich tries fighting back and she escapes a suplex attempt to down Dickinson and go for an arm bar. Dickinson quickly gets free and he kicks Slamovich in the midsection, Dickinson leaves the ring and he returns with a door. Dickinson places the door in the corner before attacking Slamovich, Dickinson picks Slamovich up and she escapes his grasp before kicking him in the head. 

Slamovich corners Dickinson before landing a running knee strike followed by a spinning heel kick, Dickinson tries fighting back and Slamovich catches him in an arm bar. Dickinson powers his way to his feet before power bombing Slamovich through the door, Dickinson misses a charge in the corner and Slamovich nails him with a ton of strikes. Dickinson recovers and he nails Slamovich with a falcon arrow, Slamovich gets angry and she nails Dickinson with a bunch more strikes. Slamovich then hits Dickinson with a head kick followed by a German suplex for a near fall, Slamovich looks for another German suplex and she manages to roll Dickinson up for a near fall. Dickinson looks for an ankle lock and Slamovich kicks her way to freedom, Slamovich follows up by exchanging roll ups with Dickinson for multiple knee falls. Dickinson looks for a power bomb and Slamovich counters with an arm bar, Dickinson manages to get to the ropes to break the submission. Dickinson goes to the ring apron and he looks to suplex Slamovich out of the ring and to the arena floor, Slamovich manages to knock Dickinson off the ring apron before landing a suicide dive.

Slamovich gets Dickinson back into the ring and she goes to the top rope, Dickinson meets her up there before landing a superplex. Dickinson then hits Slamovich with a release German suplex and a brain buster for a three count.

Winner: Chris Dickinson

ACH vs. Nick Wayne

The match begins with ACH backing Wayne into the corner before taunting him, Wayne and ACH take turns working over each other's arms. Wayne trips up ACH for a pin attempt and Wayne does the same for him, Wayne gets ACH in a headlock and ACH gets free to hit ACH with a rana followed by a drop kick, ACH leaves the ring and Wayne fakes a suicide dive. ACH gets back in the ring and Wayne nails hit with a standing Spanish fly for a near fall, ACH then sends a charging Wayne out of the ring before nailing him with a penalty kick from the ring apron. ACH keeps Wayne out of the ring while nailing him with some chops, ACH gets Wayne back in the ring before getting a near fall on a pin attempt. Wayne gets up and ACH nails him with some more chops, Wayne tries fighting back and ACH suplexes him into the corner for a near fall. ACH keeps the pressure on Wayne by hitting him with a back breaker, Wayne tries fighting back and ACH nails him with a drop kick for a near fall. ACH keeps Wayne grounded while pulling back on both of his arms, Wayne gets free and he cracks ACH with a few strikes. 

ACH recovers and he nails Wayne with a pump handle neck breaker for a near fall, Wayne leaves the ring and ACH fakes a suicide dive. ACH goes for the penalty kick again and Wayne sends him crashing onto the ring apron, Wayne follows up by hitting ACH with a suicide dive. Wayne gets ACH back in the ring before nailing him with a series of kicks, Wayne then hits ACH with a 619 to the midsection followed by a release German suplex. Wayne follows up by nailing ACH with a code red for a near fall, Wayne looks for a springboard move and ACH avoids it before eventually landing a basement drop kick. Wayne and ACH have a striking exchange in the middle of the ring, Wayne avoids a release German suplex to hit ACH with a super kick. ACH avoids a springboard cutter from Wayne to hit him with a brain buster for a near fall, ACH gets Wayne on the top rope and he follows him up there. Wayne fights back against ACH and he nails him with a super rana followed by a standing shooting star press for a near fall, Wayne then hits AH with a springboard cutter for a near fall. 

Wayne goes to the top rope and ACH rolls out of the ring, Wayne winds up nailing ACH with a top rope moonsault before getting him back in the ring. Wayne goes for a top rope swanton bomb and ACH gets his knees up, ACH then hits Wayne with another brain buster for a three count.

Winner: ACH

Minoru Suzuki vs. Blake Christian

The match begins with Suzuki working over the arm of Christian before getting him in a headlock, Christian gets free and he damages the arm of Suzuki. Suzuki gets Christian down and he wrenches away on his ankle, Suzuki keeps Christian down while applying a chin lock to him. Christian goes for a roll up and Suzuki briefly gets him in an arm bar, Christian gets to the ropes to break the hold. Suzuki quickly gets Christian down again before applying another chin lock to him, Christian gets free and he takes Suzuki down with a headlock. Suzuki quickly gets free and he gets Christian in a head scissors before transitioning to a triangle choke, Christian gets free and he keeps Suzuki on the mat while working over his arm. Suzuki gets free while manipulating the fingers of Christian, Christian gets up and he drops Suzuki with a drop kick. Suzuki gets angry and he attacks the arm of Christian with a rope assisted hanging arm bar, Suzuki drags Christian out of the ring before nailing him with a knee strike. Suzuki then sends Christian face first into a chair, Christian fights back and Suzuki levels him with a forearm strike. 

Suzuki keeps Christian down while using a chair to injure his leg, Suzuki then hits Christian with the chair. Suzuki gets back in the ring and he attacks Christian as he returns to the ring, Suzuki drops Christian again before working over both of his arms. Suzuki still keeps Christian down while applying a head scissors to him, Suzuki releases the hold to crack Christian with a penalty kick. Christian blocks a second kick and he attacks Suzuki with some forearm strikes, Christian then hits Suzuki with a few kicks followed by a clothesline. Christian trips up Suzuki again before landing a splash for a near fall, Christian taunts Suzuki and Suzuki kicks him in the face before nailing him with another penalty kick. Christian gets up and he gets into a striking exchange with Suzuki, Suzuki eventually drops Christian with a forearm strike. Christian gets back up and he exchanges more strikes with Suzuki, Christian catches Suzuki in a roll up before getting him in a Motor City Stretch. Suzuki also eats a few knee strikes before making it to the ropes, Christian avoids a sleeper from Suzuki before landing a double stomp and springboard 450 splash for a near fall. 

Suzuki gets up and Christian cracks him with some forearm strikes, Suzuki recovers to get Christian in a sleeper hold. Suzuki goes for the Gotch style pile driver and Christian counters with a back body drop, Suzuki cracks Christian with a forearm strike followed by a Gotch style pile driver for a three count.

Winner: Minoru Suzuki
