By Mike Johnson on 2022-04-15 22:01:00

Yuji Nagata vs. Davey Richards

As you might image, some nice wrestling early on.  Richards stomped Nagata's elbow.  They went into a test of strength with Nagata snatching his arm and working it over.  Richards came back to attack Nagata's knee and slammed it against the apron.  Nagata went to the outside to shake off the hurt.   He returned to the ring, where Richards picked his ankle and went right after the leg.  Richard locked in a grapevine submission.  Nagata fought to turn it over but wasn't able to.  He tried again but failed.  He finally turned it over but Richards made it the ring ropes.

Nagata began beating down Richards with stiff kicks in the corner.  Nagata went for a suplex but Richards floated over.  Nagata charged but Richards slipped through the ropes and snapped him with a Dragon Screw Legwhip through the ropes.  Richards called for the top rope stomp but Nagata got out of the way.  Nagata rolled him up but Richards rolled through and trapped him in another grapevine submission.   Nagata teased submitting but he finally made it to the ropes to force the break.

Nagata fought to his feet.  They battled over a suplex with neither man getting the advantage.  They battered each other with forearms and punches.  Richards snapped Nagata into the anklelock.  Nagata again teased tapping but rolled through and kicked him off.  Richards rebounded with a kick to the chest and nailed a top rope stomp for a close two count.  Richards nailed a clothesline and went for another but was caught in an exploder.  Nagata nailed a running knee strike in the corner.  Richards fired back but was nailed with an enziguiri.  Nagata nailed a back suplex for the pin.

Your winner, Yuji Nagata!

This was a good, well built match between two talents who matched up well.

Kevin Blackwood vs. Minoru Suzuki

Lots of nice wrestling early on, including the competitors each snatching the other's ankle at the same time.  Blackwood ended on top of the guard but hesitated striking him.  Suzuki went to the floor to reset himself, walking around the ring.  When he returned, Blackwood nailed a knee strike but when he went to follow up, Suzuki snatched him in an armbar in the ropes.

They battled to the floor with Suzuki whipping him into the chairs as the fans scattered.  Suzuki smashed his head into one of the chairs.  He grabbed the side headlock and dragged Blackwood around the ringside area.  Blackwood struck Suzuki in the face and he suddenly went stern-faced.  The crowd chanted, "You f***ed up."   They began chopping each other and man, Blackwood sold it like he was dying.  Suzuki attacked Blackwood's face and ripped at it.  Suzuki snapped his arm and manipulated the fingers before going after the leg and turning it into one-legged crab.  Blackwood made it to the ropes, almost, but was pulled back to the center.  Suzuki continued working on the leg and then went back to the arm.

They battered each other with forearms.  Blackwood sent him into the buckles.  Blackwood nailed an exploder as he stumbled out of the ring, nearly scoring a three count.  Blackwood followed up with forearms and punches.  Suzuki cut him off with a snapmare and a stomp.  Blackwood kicked out.  Suzuki challenged him and they attacked each other with forearms.  They kept going back and forth with some intensity.  They went nose to nose.  Suzuki drilled him with a right hand so hard, Blackwood crumpled to the mat.  Blackwood pulled himself up and fired back.  Suzuki absorbed it and they kept firing back and forth.

Suzuki went for the Gotch piledriver but was backdropped over.  Blackwood nailed a big knee strike but Suzuki kicked up.  Suzuki locked on a sleeper.  Blackwood tried to escape but was cinched in again.  Suzuki grabbed the woozy Blackwood and scored the pin with the Gotch piledriver.

Your winner, Minoru Suzuki.

A good damn fight.

Debbie Malenko vs. Masha Slamovich

Pretty damn cool, unique bour with All Japan Women's Wrestling legend Malenko out of retirement.

They sized each other up.  Masha took Malenko down and weht for a kick but was caught and brought down to the mat.  Malenko began working over her leg and ankle.  Malenko grabbed her foot and began biting her toes.  She continued working over Masha's leg and cinched in an a leglock.  Masha worked her over with forearms to the chest in the corner but was elevated to the top rope but Malenko.  She went for a superplex but Masha headbutt her off into the ring,  Masha came off the ropes but Malenko saw her coming and turned her over into another one-legged crab.

Malenko worked her over but Masha made it to the ropes, forcing a break.  Malenko then cinched in a deep Boston Crab, trapping her in the center of the ring.  Masha finally forced herself to the ropes, forcing the break.  Malenko worked her over with punches in the corner.  Malenko nailed a knee strike and a running boot in the corner.  Masha covered her but Malenko grabbed the ropes.

Masha grabbed a rear naked choke.  Malenko escaped but was caught with a crucifix for a two count.  Malenko rolled through with a package for a two count.  Malenko caught her with a cutter but Masha got her shoulder up at the last second.  Masha nailed the White Knight Piledriver and scored the pin.

Your winner, Masha Slamovich!

Good, solid bout.

The crowd showed respect for Malenko chanting for her to "Please come back."

They then changed for Masha.

West Coast Pro Wrestling Champion Jacob Fatu vs. Bandido

The crowd was having a good time chanting and singing for each competitor.  They had a friendly contest early but once Bandido showed up Fatu during a sequence, that ended real fast.  Fatu caught him with a superkick in the corner and then began mauling him.  He controlled the challenger and hit the lucha star with a BIG back bodydrop.

Fatu cinched on a nerve hold, controlling Bandido.  Bandido elbowed his way out and exchanged strikes with Fatu,  but was drilled with a hard shot.  Bandido came back with a corkscrew and a dropkick that sent Fatu to the floor.  Bandido nailed a dive and tossed Fatu back into the ring, only to be nailed with a dive.  Bandido was tossed back in and nailed Fatu with a twisting sidewinder dive.  The competitors were down and trying to fight their way back to their feet.

Bandido went for a DVDR but Fatu blocked it.  Bandido shocked him with a rollup but Fatu kicked up.  Fatu caught him with a big superkick.  He nailed a big splash and scored a near fall.  Bandido nailed the Slingshot suplex and scored a close two count.  They beat each other back and forth.  Bandido nailed a Spanish Fly and a pop-up cutter but was too spent to make the cover.  The crowd chanted, "West Coast."

Bandido drilled Fatu and nearly scored the pinfall.  He placed Fatu on the top rope but Fatu fought off.  Fatu escaped the 21plex and hit a nasty superkick and a Samoan Drop and the Killing Moon (moonsault) off the top for the pin.

Your winner and still WCP Champion, Jacob Fatu!

A fun main event to close the show.

Fatu cut a promo saying his missed his older brother's wedding to be here tonight but that's OK because his brother understands what he loves to do.  He thanked the fans and put over Bandido.
