It was the mighty return of Sabu and Bill Alfonso to the Hammerstein Ballroom!
Sabu flung chairs and helped Justice and Warner vanquish Cogar and friends. Warner pinned Gregory Iron and someone counted three.
That was a nice nostalgia pop. I'll never, ever, ever complain about seeing Sabu.
Ruby Soho vs. Allie Katch.
They had some nice back and forth counter wrestling early. Katch went for a piledriver but Ruby escaped. Soho drilled her hard, face-first into the buckles. Katch drilled her with several kicks and then drove Soho face-first into the buckles. She nailed a kick and a hip attack before nailing a cannonballl for a two count.
They battled back and forth, exchanging forearms. Soho trapped her arm and snapped it, then hit a back suplex. Soho charged her in the ropes but was drilled with a kick. Allie went to the ropes but was armdragged off the ropes and nailed with a Flatliner for a two count. Soho nailed a rana into a face spike for a two count. Soho argued with the referee over the counts. Soho dragged Allie to the corner and went to the top. She missed a double stomp but rolled through. Katch caught her with a piledriver for a two count.
Katch placed Soho on the top and went for a superplex. She went to turn it into a piledriver off the top but Ruby turned it into an arm wringer and flipped Katch off, then pinned her.
Your winner, Ruby Soho!
Big chant for Allie after the match.
Jeff Jarrett vs. EFFY.
Jarrett assaulted Vladimir the Superfan, choking him, as he made his way out.
BIG pop for EFFY.
They faced off and locked up. Jarrett shoved EFFY down hard in the corner. They locked up again with Jarrett maintaining control early. Jarrett shoulderblocked EFFY down. EFFY kept standing back up and faced off with Jarrett again, refusing to be intimidated. Jarrett went for a leapfrog and EFFY dropped to his knees, playing mind games.
EFFY caught Jarrett in the ropes and locked him in a version of the Tarantula. Jarrett came back with a big lariat. He stomped away on EFFY and tossed him to the floor. Jarrett began whipping him with a belt on the floor. Jarrett tossed EFFY into someone who was guarding the corner of the barricade. Several refs came out to calm him but Jarrett nailed one of them with the belt.
Jarrett brought him back into the ring and worked over EFFY. Jarrett kept whipping him. Jarrett trapped him in the buckles and grabbed a chair but EFFY escaped and Jarrett hit the buckles. EFFY made a comeback on Jarrett and drilled him with his leglock into a Stroke. He began whipping Jarrett with the belt over and over.
EFFY went for a Blockbuster but Jarrett ducked. He grabbed a guitar but was nutshotted by EFFY and rolled up for a two count. EFFY used his fishnets from his tights to accentuate a sleeper. Jarrett went down. EFFY grabbed the guitar but was punched in the groin. Jarrett smashed EFFY with the guitar but EFFY tried to power through. Jarrett hit the Stroke and pinned him.
Your winner, Jeff Jarrett!
Good match. You could tell the crowd was not expecting that finish, AT ALL but it was the first match in the feud, so the heel needed to go over. It was super fun watching Jarrett play old school heel all the way.
Jarrett argued with fans all the way out.
They played EFFY's theme Yellowbrick Road as he left and the crowd showed him respect.
