Hardcore War: Violent by Design & Impact Wrestling Tag Team Champions The Good Brothers vs. Rich Swann & Willie Mack & Rhino & Heath Miller & Eddie Edwards - Team VBD has the official advantage for entrances.
Rich Swann and Deaner are the first reps for each of their teams. They battle back and forth. Deaner raked his eyes and nailed Swann across the back with a trash can. Swann came back with a spinkick but was sent into a chair wedged in the corner. Deaner waved the VBD flag. Swan went for a Lethal Injection but Deaner grabbed him and used the flagpole for an assisted Russian Legsweep. He went to slam Swann on a chair but was superkicked.
The next man out was Karl Anderson, who came out with a golf club. They worked over Swann.
Next out was Willie Mack, who evened thing up. Deaner was sent through a door, until...
Gallows was out next. They plundered and beat down Swann and Willie with weapons.
Eddie Edwards evened things out. He hit a big dive out of the ring onto the Good Brothers, which popped the crowd. Everyone battled. Edwards brought a chair out from under the ring. He set it up but was jumped by Anderson.
Next out was Eric Young, who attacked Eddie with a pair of trash can lids to the head. Young mauled Edwards. Gallows tossed a chair at Mack's head. Young choked Edwards in the corner. Deaner bit him in the face. Everyone brawled. Anderson ripped at Swann's eye.
Next out was Heath Miller. He tossed powder in the face of Anderson and nailed EY with a pipe. He cleaned house on Gallows and Deaner. Mack tried to hit a moonsault with a trash can but there was no one home and Mack took himself out.
Next out was Joe Doering. He powerbombed Mack and Swann out of the corner. Lots of beating down the Edwards team to set up the big Rhino entrance at the end.
The final competitor is Rhino. Rhino came out wielding a chain. The crowd chanted for ECW. He began drilling everyone with the chain. Young attacked him from behind but Rhino fired back and worked him over. Rhino drilled him with a right hand with the chain that sent Young spinning off. Heath was busted open. So was Edwards. So was Gallows.
The two sides faced off as the crowd chanted "Hardcore War." Then like the Greasers and the Socs in The Outsiders, they charged and battled. Some spilled to the outside. Young and Edwards drilled each other with trash can lids. Eddie finally won that war. Everyone battled everywhere. Edwards grabbed a Singapore Cane, lit the tip on fire and caned Gallows.
Eddie attempted a Tiger Driver off the apron but Young fought back and blocked it, then nailed a piledriver through the table set up on the floor. Young nailed a 450 off the apron to the floor on the bloody EY. Mack and Young set up a barbed wire board in the ring. They said somewhere Abyss is smiling. Doering grabbed Swann and used him as a weapon to swat Mack away, then hit s DVDR through the barbed wire board in the corner. Swann did an incredible job screaming and selling this.
Mack used the chain with a pop up punch but was caught with a Stun Gun. Rhino gored Anderson and pinned him after he was drilled with a Dallas Cowboys helmet.
Your winners, Team Edwards!
If you like old school brawling, blood, barbed wire and gore, this was for you as there was a lot of that. It was completely different from everything else on the show and was fun.
Matt Taven and Mike Bennett hit the ring and attacked Heath and Rhino, working them over. In a big shock, Vincent, Taven's mortal enemy, hit the ring but assisted Taven and Bennett. Then, PCO hit the ring. He murdered Swann. The OGK hit a spike piledriver on Mack. They then revealed Maria Kanellis-Bennett was the mastermind behind all of this.
Gia Miller tried to stop Scott D'Amore and ask him what just happened. He said he found out when everyone else did but he's calling Baltimore to find out what the hell is going on.
I wonder if they are setting up ROH vs. Impact for Supercard of Honor in April.
