We are back with a video package for Tony D'Angelo. He says Pete learned the hard way that he is a tough guy. He says he introduced Petey to his friend, crowbar. Tony tells Pete he has to watch his hands. The look on his face is someone who shouldn't have fought with him. Tony says his grandfather taught him to get in the bully's face and beat him up.
Wade Barrett is in the ring with the two title belts and contract on the table.
Wade says two men will enter the ring next week as champion but only one will walk out. Tonight, the match will be made official.
Wade brings out NXT Cruiserweight Champion Roderick Strong. Strong is accompanied by Diamond Mine.
Bivens says he did not see Trick Williams or the self proclaimed 'A' champion. He knows that gas prices are high.
Trick Williams and Carmelo Hayes make their way to the ring. Trick says they are going to call Roderick the B Champion because next week, he won't B champion.
Roderick wants to know what Trick said.
Bivens says he will translate for everyone. He said that Roderick is a second tier champion and cannot beat Hayes. He says that Hayes will stomp on him.
Roderick tells Bivens he will kick his ass.
Bivens says Hayes if he wants some to get some. Bivens says that Hayes and Williams are outnumbered.
Williams says they are not outnumbered.
Bivens says he is not paid enough to translate everything.
Barrett says he has no clue what anyone is talking about so he is going to bring it under control.
Wade asks Carmelo what is on the North American Champion's mind.
Hayes says when he says he shoots and he does not miss, that is not a catchphrase, it is a way of life. He says that he will put Roddy on a t-shirt. If you look at the guys I laid to rest, there ain't a damn thing different between them and you. I take what I want and I want the Cruiserweight Championship and I will unify the titles. I am the most scintillating champion in NXT and that is all it is and that's all it's gonna be.
Roderick tells Hayes bravo for the fact that he said it to his face. Strong says that is impressive. You have potential, but at New Year's Evil, it will be a life changing event. It will be the greatest moment for me when I unify the titles and become a two time North American champion. You will be carried out and you will be known as Humbled Hayes.
Strong signs the contract and then Hayes signs the contract.
Hayes and Strong toss the contract at each other as Wade says the match is official and the winner of the match will go forward as the North American Champion.
Bivens wants the music cut. Bivens tells Trick what is bout it bout it is Dexter Lumis kicking your ass.
Trick tells Bivens to watch his mouth or he will make an example of him.
Julius and Brutus pick up Williams and they give him a double choke slam through the table.
Solo Sikoa is in the back getting ready for his match against Santos Escobar.
We go to commercial.
We are with a video package for the tag team division with a look at the Grizzled Young Veterans, Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen, Ikemen Jiro and KUSHIDA, and The Creeds.
Match Number Four: Solo Sikoa versus Santos Esocbar (with Joaquin Wilde, Raul Mendoza, and Elektra Lopez)
Sikoa teases a kick but Escobar backs off. They lock up and Escobar with a chop on the break. Escobar smiles as Sikoa reacts. Escobar with a waist lock and Sikoa misses elbows. Escobar with a take down. Esocbar goes for a sunset flip but Sikoa does not go down. They lock up and Escobar with a hammer lock. Escobar turns it into a double wrist lock. Sikoa escapes and sends Escobar to the mat. Escobar with an ankle pick into a front face lock. Escobar with a reverse chin lock. Escobar with an abdominal stretch.
Sikoa with a hip toss to escape. Santos with a wrist lock but Sikoa blocks an Irish whip. Sikoa with an Irish whip and elbow followed by a clothesline. Sikoa with a slam and diving head butt for a near fall. Escobar rolls tot he floor and Sikoa follows. Sikoa punches Escobar and then he goes after Wilde and Mendoza but Sikoa's actions allow Escobar to recover and he hits a knee to the back.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Escobar stretches Sikoa. Sikoa with punches to Escobar. Escobar with a side Russian leg sweep for a near fall. Escobar with a forearm to the lower back. Escobar with a drop kick to the back against the ropes. Escobar stomps on the back. Escobar with a single leg crab. Sikoa gets to the ropes to force a break. Escobar with a drop kick to Sikoa for a near fall. Escobar with a Fujiwara arm bar. Escobar gets a near fall. Escobar tells Sikoa to fight him and Escobar with punches to Sikoa. Escobar sets for a suplex but Sikoa blocks it and he sends Escobar face first to the mat with a gourdbuster. Sikoa with clotheslines and punches. Sikoa with knees.and a Samoan drop. Sikoa with a back senton.
Wilde gets on the apron and so does Mendoza. Sikoa takes care of both of them but Escobar clips Sikoa and they go to the turnbuckles for a Frankensteiner.
Xyon Quinn is at ringside with Elektra and Escobar with a suicide dive and he punches Quinn. Escobar yells at Lopez and then he rolls back into the ring and Sikoa with a super kick and a frog splash for the three count.
Winner: Solo Sikoa
We go to McKenzie Mitchell and she runs through the card for New Year's Evil.
Two women will face Mandy Rose for the Women's Championship.
Roderick Strong faces Carmelo Hayes.
MSK and Riddle face Imperium in a six man tag match.
AJ Styles will confront Grayson Waller.
Bron Breakker faces Tommaso Ciampa for the Men's Championship.
Joe Gacy and Harland are on the roof with the Chase University student and Gacy says something to Harland and Harland puts him down gently.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Solo Sikoa is congratulated on his victory and he is asked what is next. Solo says he will take on anyone who comes after him.
Boa attacks Sikoa and then Boa attacks the camera man accidentally.
We take a look at Tommaso Ciampa and Bron Breakker with a video package.
Ciampa says he exposed Breakker. Bron says it was one mistake that cost him. It taught him a lesson and a mistake he will not make again. We take a look at footage from War Games. Ciampa not to confuse a battle with a war. Bron says he is coming for the NXT Championship.
Match Number Five: Von Wagner versus Malik Blade
Wagner runs Blade into the corner and connects with shoulders. Wagner runs Blade into another corner and connects with a shoulder. Wagner with a knee to the midsection. Blade with punches but Wagner with a knee. Wagner misses a boot and Blade with a thrust kick and a jumping side kick. Wagner sends Blade to the mat.
We see Robert Stone watching in the back.
Wagner with a kick and forearm. Wagner with more forearms to the back. Wagner with a knee to the head. Wagner with a gutwrench suplex to Blade. Wagner with a short arm clothesline. Blade with forearms but Wagner with a clothesline. Wagner runs into a back elbow and Wagner with a waist lock and Blade holds on to the ropes. Blade with drop kicks. Blade with a cross body. Wagner with a flatliner uranage and he goes for a power bomb but Blade with a sunset flip for a near fall. Wagner with an Olympic slam. Wagner with a butterfly slam for the three count.
Winner: Von Wagner
After the match, Wagner goes for another Olympic Slam but Edris Enofe pulls Blade to safety.
We cut to Stone in the back and he does not look happy.
Match Number Six: Cora Jade and Raquel Gonzalez versus Io Shirai and Kay Lee Ray in a Winning Team are Mandy Rose's opponents in Next Week's Triple THreat Match for the NXT Women's Championship Match
Io and Jade start things off. Io with a waist lock and Cora misses an elbow and Io with a chop. Io with a knee but COra with an Irish whip. Io avoids a charge into the corner. Io lands on her feet on a head scissors attempt. Cora blocks a kick and gives Io a leg sweep. Cora with a side head lock and Jade with a take down and a near fall. Cora with a running knee to Io against the ropes and Raquel tags in and kicks Io. Raquel gets a near fall. Gonzalez tosses Io into the corner and Ray tags in. Ray with chops to Gonzalez. Ray with a kick. Raquel misses a clothesline but hits a Northern lariat. Io kicks Jade and Gonzalez goes to the floor and hits a double jump senton on Gonzalez o the floor. Shirai with an Asai Moonsault.
Ray with a cravate on Jade. Io tags in and hits a drop kick to the back of the head for a near fall. Io with a slam. Io with a hesitation knee drop and she gets a near fall. Io sends Jade into the turnbuckles and Ray tags in. Ray with a snap mare and she stretches Jade. Ray sends Jade to the mat and then she kicks Jade. Ray with a gourdbuster for a near fall. Ray with a forearm and slam to Jade. Ray sends the knee into the mat. Ray with a single leg crab. Ray keeps Jade from making the tag and pulls her closer to Ray's corner. Ray goes for the KLR Bomb but Jade counters with a sunset flip for a near fall. Ray with a knee. Jade sends Ray into the turnbuckles.
Ray with a suplex and then she knocks Raquel off the apron. Io tags in and goes up top for a moonsault but Gonzalez pulls Jade to the apron. Ray with a suicide dive to Gonzalez. Io with a drop kick to Jade's back. Io with a Tiger Feint Kick and then Io goes up top for a missile drop kick. Io gets a near fall. Io misses a double knee strike and hits the turnbuckles. Ray tags in and she grabs the leg. Jade with an enzuigiri and Jade crawls to her corner and Gonzalez makes the tag.
Gonzalez with punches to Ray and Gonzalez drops Ray on the top rope and connects with a boot. Gonzalez with a fallaway slam. Gonzalez goes to the turnbuckles for a twisting elbow drop. Ray with a thrust kick and Gonzalez blocks a thrust kick and Gonzalez with a Chingona Bomb. Jade tags in and Gonzalez catches Io off the turnbuckles and drops her on the apron. Jade gets a near fall and Gonzalez argues with Jade. Ray with a rollup and Gonzalez pushes Ray over and Jade gets the three count.
Winners: Cora Jade and Raquel Gonzalez
After the match, Jade and Gonzalez argue until Mandy Rose shows up on the HHHTron.
Mandy says you might have won but your selfish desires for her title will be your downfall. That is why I made this is a Triple Threat Match. I will be able to erase both of you from contention.
