Grayson Waller makes his way to the ring.
Waller says what better way to start off the last NXT of 2021 with the breakout star. He asks how everyone's Christmas was but he doesn't care. He says he woke up Christmas morning and he said he deserved a present so he went to Detroit and had front row tickets. He says he was having a good time until AJ Styles wanted the Grayson Waller rub.
We take a look at what happened.
Waller says he doesn't get why people like AJ Styles. They think he is a good guy after he threatens me. Last week, he came out on my show. All of you do your best to get your fat asses out of your seats to get excited. AJ says I am not a star. Let's be real. There is no brigher star than Grayson Waller. If it wasn't for Apollo Crews and Commander Azeez, it would have been his last night.
Grayson says that Dexter is delusional. He thought he would be cleared to wrestle tonight after the chair shot I gave him? Enjoy your time with your catfish wife. She is a Dexter Lumis 10 but a Grayson Waller 3. They found a replacement for you.
Waller walks away and Jones tells Waller he prances around here like he is a star, but he is just a big time bitch.
Match Number One: Odyssey Jones versus Grayson Waller
Waller backs into the ropes to avoid Jones. Waller with a jab to Jones and Jones sends Waller into the turnbuckles and connects with a splash. Jones with a biel. Jones with knees in the corner. Jones with punches and Waller drops down but Jones sees him go down and Jones walks over Waller. Jones with an Irish whip and Waller floats over. Jones with a side slam for a near fall. Jones with shoulders in the corner. Jones puts Waller on the turnbuckles and Jones with forearms across the chest and he follows with a double sledge to the chest. Waller falls to the floor. Waller with forearms to the back and punches to Jones. Waller with punches in the corner.
Waller with a kick to the midsection and a cravate. Waller with a drop kick to the knee and forearms to the back. Waller with a knee to the ribs and a kick to the back. Waller with a knee to the back. Waller with a forearm. Jones pushes Waller away. Waller with forearms. Waller with a cravate and he adds pressure to the neck. Jones with punches but Waller with knees. Waller with a thrust kick to Jones. Waller goes to the ropes and hits a springboard elbow drop for a near fall.
Waller with forearms and kicks but Jones blocks a spinning heel kick and Jones sends Waller to the mat. Jones with a body block and a back breaker. Waller moves when Jones goes for a splash into the corner. Waller with a side kick into the corner. Waller punches Jones in the corner and Waller takes off the top turnbuckle pad but Jones with a power bomb for a near fall. Jones goes for a splash into the corner but Waller moves and Jones hits the exposed turnbuckle. Waller with a slingshot rolling cutter for the three count.
Winner: Grayson Waller
After the match, AJ appears on the HHHTron and he says that Waller got some attention last night but he didn't get the right type of attention. AJ says he will be at NXT next week at New Year's Evil.
McKenzie Mitchell is in the back with Raquel Gonzalez and Cora Jade. Cora says they can coexist. Next week is every woman for themselves. Raquel says tonight is about taking out toxic trash.
Io Shirai shows up and says that she wants the first shot and maybe she will get her rematch.
Kay Lee Ray says it does not matter who it is, she wants a shot at the title.
Mandy appears on the monitor and she says if you all want a piece of her, why not have a tag match tonight with the winners facing her at New Year's Evil.
Grayson Waller tells AJ if he wants to ruin his celebration.
Waller bumps into MSK and Waller tells them screw you.
Tiffany Stratton says her daddy said it is time for her to take over NXT and daddy is never wrong. Is NXT ready for Tiffany Stratton.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Xyon Quinn tells Elektra she wants it as much as him. She needs to decide him or Legado. It has to happen tonight.
Wes Lee and Nash Carter make their way to the ring.
They say it is good to be back. Wes mentions the last time they were here was Halloween Havoc when they lost the titles. Nash says they went on a beautiful journey and found their Shaman Riddle and are flying higher than ever. Riddle is on the HHHTron and he says he couldn't be there but he will be there as a higher power. NXT has seen your journey and there is only one thing left to do. Challenge Imperium for the Tag Titles.
Nash and Wes says it is their destiny. Wes tells Imperium to bring that ass here.
Fabian Aichner tells MSK if they can be serious and he speaks in Italian. Barthel responds in German.
Wes and Nash ask for subtitles.
Marcel says he is not surprised they are uncultured. You can sit around your fire, ride your scooters, but the two of you will never ever be able to touch us. The tag titles are going to stay with the best tag team this division has ever seen. They are going to stay where they belong and they will stay with Imperium.
Nash says if they are feeling spicy, they can put the tag titles on the line right here and right now.
WALTER appears on the HHHTron. He says MSK represent everything wrong in this sport. You are a disgrace to the mat. Marcel and Fabian are great champions who treat that title wtih respect. You do not deserve a title match.
Riddle shows up in PIP.
Riddle says he cannot let WALTER disrespect his friends. He suggests next week, we have a six man tag match.
WALTER asks the barefooted nerd if he wants it, then they accept the challenge. WALTER says they are in this for the greater good and they will expose you as a bunch of show men. We are Imperium and to us, the mat is sacred.
Wade mentions that Carmelo Hayes has not arrived at the building yet for the contract signing later tonight.
Joe Gacy reminds Harland that Brian Kendrick called him a freak and Gacy tells Harland he is not a freak.
We go to commercial.
We are back with McKenzie and Edris Enofe. He is asked about his first victory. Edris says he has had a bunch of doubters and what better way to prove himself than get his first win.
Von Wagner says that Enofe got lucky.
Malik Blade says a win is a win and Wagner pushes Blade and asks him who he is.
Match Number Two: Harland (with Joe Gacy) versus Brian Kendrick
Kendrick does not come to the ring when his music plays and Gacy gets a mic.
Gacy tells Harland he knew that this would happen. Mr. Kendrick is just like so many people in this cruel world. They speak a big game but when confronted, they don't show up. Kendrick will not admit that he did wrong.
Andre Chase shows up.
Chase apologizes for the interruption but it is time for a TEACHABLE MOMENT. At Andre Chase University, we don't quit. We don't run away from our problems. We take negatives and turn them into positives.
Gacy says they appreciate what Chase is doing. Harland was enrolled in school until he was expelled. Gacy thanks Chase for stepping up and volunteering himself as Mr. Kendrick's replacement.
Match Number Two: Andre Chase versus Harland (with Joe Gacy)
Chase with a waist lock and Harland with elbows. Harland pushes Chase over the top rope to the floor. Harland goes to the floor and Chase gets back in the ring but Harland grabs Chase's leg and sends him into the ropes. Harland slams Chase's head into the mat and the referee calls for the bell.
Winner: Harland
After the match, the ringside associate comes to check on Chase but Harland pulls him to the floor.
Harland carries him to the back.
We see Tiffany Stratton's feet as we see her back while she walks through the back.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Santos Escobar is asked about Xyon Quinn's comments. He refuses to answer.
Elaktra Lopez enters the hallway and she is asked about Xyon.
Solo Sikoa enters the hallway and Legado tells Solo to apologize.
Solo says if they have problems, they can settle it in the ring.
Match Number Three: Tiffany Stratton versus Fallon Henley
They lock up and Stratton pushes Henley to the mat. They lock up and Henley with a waist lock. Stratton with a wrist lock. Henley with a wrist lock. Stratton uses the ropes to reverse the hold and takes Henley down with an arm drag into an arm bar. Henley with a side head lock. Stratton with a reversal. Henley with a forearm and Stratton with a shoulder tackle. Stratton blocks a hip toss and slams Henley. Stratton with an Irish whip and handspring elbow into the corner followed by a flatliner for the three count.
Winner: Tiffany Stratton
We see Io Shirai and Kay Lee Ray in the back preparing for their tag match.
