We are back with the Smackdown Breakdown.
Miz is in the ring for MizTV and he says he wants to address the situation between himself and his wife. Miz says he loves Maryse and if you love me and my family, you will not talk about our relationship on Cutting Edge.
Miz officially welcomes us to MizTV and introduces his guests, AJ Styles and Omos.
Omos throws his chair out of the ring.
Miz mentions that there have been some issues between AJ and Omos lately. AJ says just like Miz and his wife. Miz says this isn't about his wife, it is about AJ and Omos. Has the magic left?
AJ says it is called growing pains. When we are on the same page, we are unstoppable. He knew that he had to take Omos under his wing and Omos has made great strides. Omos could be a tag champ on his own. AJ says they went off the rails a little, but that happens. They are on the same page and they are seeing eye to eye. AJ says they should take all of the titles.
Miz says that is interesting. Miz says he has heard otherwise.
AJ asks who did he hear it from.
Miz says he heard it from Omos.
AJ says he sees Miz deflecting. AJ asks Miz what kind of man puts the mother of his children in harm's way?
Miz says that is AJ deflecting. If you had a conversation with Omos, you would know that you are not on the same page. Miz says Omos said he is sick and tired of carrying AJ. That was just the beginning. He says the minute he showed up, he was the biggest star in WWE. Omos said that AJ was holding him back. Miz says the mutual respect is very one sided. How long did it take you to get to WWE? Fifteen years? WWE begged Omos to sign. He is not the next Andre the Giant, he is the first Omos.
AJ says that Miz is full of BS. AJ asks if this is what is going on.
Before Omos can speak, the Mysterios interrupt.
Match Number Three: AJ Styles and Omos versus Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio in a Number One Contender Tournament Finals Match
AJ and Dominik start things off and AJ with a waist lock take down. Dominik with a forearm and he goes o the ropes for a springboard wrist lock take down. Styles with a back breaker. AJ goes for a slam but Dominik escapes. AJ with an abdominal stretch. Dominik with a rollup for a near fall. AJ with a Pele Kick. Rey tags in and hits a head scissors take down. Rey with a kick and a tornado DDT. Rey sends AJ into the ropes and AJ with a 619. Rey goes up top and goes for a frog splash but AJ gets his knees up. AJ crawls to make the tag and Omos refuses to make the tag but he stays on the apron.
Rey with a rollup for the three count.
Winners: Rey Mysterio and Dominik Mysterio
After the match, AJ asks Omos if this is how it is going to be? AJ calls Omos a piece of trash and Omos grabs AJ. AJ with punches and kicks but Omos pushes AJ down. AJ with a forearm on the apron and he goes for a Phenomenal Forearm but Omos grabs AJ by the throat and gets AJ on his shoulders and drops AJ face first to the mat.
Omos gets a mic and he tells AJ the next time you see me, it will be in a match against you.
We see footage from last week's match between Riddle and Otis.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Austin Theory decides not to knock on Vince McMahon's door.
Match Number Four: Randy Orton versus Chad Gable (with Otis Dozovic)
They lock up and Gable with a wrist lock. Orton with a reversal. Gable with an escape and drop toe hold. Orton goes to the floor to regroup. Orton returns to the ring and Orton with a side head lock and take down. Gable with a head scissors and single leg take down for a near fall. Gable with an arm drag into an arm bar. Orton with an Irish whip but he misses a splash into the corner. Gable with arm drags into an arm bar. Orton with a knee and he sends Gable to the floor. Orton with a kick to the chest and Orton with the IEDDT set up but Gable escapes and goes for a German suplex. Gable with an arm drag but Orton with an RKO for the three count.
Winner: Randy Orton
After the match, Otis attacks Orton but Orton avoids him and tries for an RKO a few times but Otis escapes.
Bobby Lashley is in the locker room and MVP shows up and he wants to know if everything is good. He asks Lashley if he can trust Big E. Lashley says he cannot trust Big E but he will beat the hell out of Rollins and Owens. If Big E looks at me wrong, I will kick his ass too.
Porter asks if Lashley meant what he said earlier or if he was he setting the trap. Lashley says he has to hydrate so he asks Porter to get him some water.
We are back with the latest Reggie and Dana tour the city Raw is in.
We see Tozawa dressed like an elf and he looks for R Truth. Tamina tells Tozawa to stay out of her way.
R Truth is Santa and Tamina rolls up Dana but Dana gets away. They fight into some lights and they exchange punches. Dana with kicks and she runs away with Reggie.
Tamina screams at Truth and Tozawa.
Match Number Five: Damian Priest versus Dolph Ziggler (with Robert Roode) in a Non Title Match
They lock up and Priest holds the ropes to prevent a take down. Priest tosses Ziggler into the corner but Ziggler moves. Priest with a shoulder tackle. Priest with a jumping back elbow. Priest misses an elbow int he corner and Priest tosses Ziggler away on a DDT attempt. Priest counters a Fameasser into a power bomb attempt but Ziggler counters with a sunset flip for a near fall. Priest with a punch. Ziggler with elbows and Priest with a knee. Ziggler kicks Priest in the knee. Priest sends Ziggler face first into the mat. Priest goes up top and Ziggler leaps up and hits a superplex.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Priest with a forearm. Ziggler with a kick and Priest misses a round kick. Ziggler with a hesitation DDT for a near fall. Ziggler sets for a super kick but Priest blocks it and punches Ziggler. Priest with a seires of kicks and a punch. Priest with a spinning heel kick. Priest with an elbow into the corner and then he goes for Broken Arrow but Ziggler escapes. Priest with a clothesline and Broken Arrow for a near fall. Priest kicks Ziggler from the apron and Roode trips Priest on the apron.
Priest is pissed off and Roode realizes that he has messed up. Priest with a forearm off the steps to Roode and he punches Roode while the referee makes the ten count.
Winner: Dolph Ziggler (by count out)
After the match, Priest gets back in the ring and Ziggler realizes he does not want to end up like Roode so he leaves the ring and goes to the back.
Priest picks up Roode and hits Reckoning on the floor.
Finn Balor walks in the back and Kevin Patrick ambushes him to ask about the victory.
Finn says the victory was satisfying. He says it is on to more important things . . .
Austin Theory runs Balor into the storage cases and he hits a back drop driver onto another case.
Theory takes another selfie and leaves.
Edge makes his way to the ring.
