It's time for some Cowboy sh** as we get a big video with Hangman Page riding a horse in Minneapolis downtown around the Target Center. That was pretty creative and cool.
The story of the bout is pretty much that Kenny is fighting to survive the Hangman's onslaught but when Omega has him on the defense, Page won't say die and keeps kicking out. Lots of cool sequences including a springboard into a sit-down Ligerbomb off the top.
Page took one of the ring post cameras off so he could stand on top and hit a flying lariat to the floor, sending them through a ringside table. Hangman scored some big moves and went for the Buckshot lariat but poor Paul Turner was pulled in his path by Omega. Don Callis tried to attack Page but was chased out of the ring. That left Omega to grab the AEW title but he missed. Page nailed Deadeye as a second referee ran out but Omega kicked out at the last second. Great timing there.
Omega fired away with strikes and knees to the face but Page flipped him the bird. Page dtopped the V-Trigger, grabbing the knee and fired away only to be nailed. They beat the hell out of each other with big blows to the point of exhaustion. Omega railed away with Kawada Kicks but Page powered through them and nailed a lariat that sent Omega inside out.
The Young Bucks walked out despite Page warning them he would end them if they laid a finger on him. Omega and Page exchanged backdrop drivers. Kenta Kobashi just cringed. Page went for the Buckshot lariat but was nailed with the V-Trigger. Page escaped the One-Winged Angel and nailed Omega with it but the champ kicked out at the last second.
Page nailed several Buckshot lariats in succession. He thought Matt Jackson was going to interfere but Matt just nodded at him. Page nailed the final one and scored the pin.
New Champion!
The Dark Order came out to celebrate. Alex Reynolds offered him a beer. They did a group hug and held him aloft as they went off the air.
Dynamite comes from Page's home state of Virginia this Wednesday.
