JON MOXLEY VS. NICK GAGE DEATH MATCH & MORE: COMPLETE GCW FIGHT CLUB COVERAGE FROM ATLANTIC CITY, NJ

GCW head honcho Brett Lauderdale takes the mic to announce this crowd has set a new Showboat attendance record. He talks about how a close friend told him that they’d seen a million GCW’s come and go and it would never last. But then GCW has been having a summer of record setting attendance shows everywhere they go. “We aren’t the next ANYTHING, we’re the first GCW”. Lauderdale has a major announcement for the crowd…<cue Matt Cardona’s music>

The GCW crowd sure hates Matt Cardona, who is interrupting Lauderdale’s big moment. “We want EFFY!” Screams the crowd. Cardona grabs the mic. “All hail the deathmatch king!”. Cardona says he’s gonna ruin the major announcement and runs Brett out of the ring. What’s the major announcement? He’s going to squash EFFY and get his Internet Championship back.

Match 4: Matt Cardona vs Effy(c) (w/ Allie Katch) (Internet Championship vs GCW Career)

Effy makes the most of his championship entrance, rubbing it in a furious Cardona’s face. Cardona with a rough Ryder right at the bell. Is this over? Effy to the ropes fast. Effy with a tarantula, a side suplex and senton for two! Effy runs into a pair of double knees, Cardona throwing big shots. He tries the boot wash but Effy ejects him over the top. Suicide dive! Effy with chair shots to the back! Cardona seated but dodges a cannonball. Effy into the steel and Cardona hits a ddt to the floor. Neckbreaker in the center, kick out! Matt choking Effy with a chair. Cardona tosses the chair to Effy and dropkicks it through his face. Cardona poses with HIS championship before blasting Effy in the head with the chair again, wrapping it around his head. Effy is busted open but able to kick out! Cardona grabs a headband out of his trunks and chokes Effy….but Effy loves it and fires up. Effy bites his nipple before hitting a northern lights. Sitout splash for two. Cardona is just throwing the chair into Effy’s face. Cardona crotches himself, missing the boot wash. Effy with a TKO into a reverse dragon…Cardona rakes the forehead of Effy but gets several crotches to the face. Under the Rainbow off the second, kick out! Cardona with a double knee to the face. Tiger Driver…kick out! Cardona tries s upped but Effy with the small package. Kick out. Cardona raining punches into Effy’s face and taunting the crowd. He graabs the Internet belt but accidentally wipes out the ref. Allie holding Cardona back on the ropes. . Effy accidentally blasts her with a chair! Cardona with a rough Ryder variation! Effy with the rough Ryder and gets the visual fall. New ref! It’s the—The ref gets pulled out by a masked fan? Effy takes several low blows, and a rough Ryder off the ropes. The ref counts the three. The masked fan? IT’S CHELSEA GREEN! Lot of drama in this one. Loved this. Guess he’s coming back to GCW in the future. I know the fans will love that.

Winner (and new champion): Matt Cardona

Match 5: “Different Boy” Jimmy Lloyd vs “The Endseeker” Dante Leon vs “The Base God” Gringo Loco vs ASF vs Brayden Lee vs “Heavyweight Hustle” Calvin Tankman vs Thunder Rosa (7-way Scramble)

Thunder Rosa is a surprise entrant in the scramble! I will try to keep up with what is sure to be a frantic match. Ring the Bell. ASF and Rosa bounces off Tankman. Tankman with clotheslines. He catches ASF but his opponents throw him back into Tankman for a rana and superkick combo that exits the Heavyweight. ASF with a Code ref to Jimmy Lloyd. Gringo and ASF go through some good lucha sequences, ASF takes him down with the head scissors. Gringo pops him up but gets armdragged out as Rosa comes in to test ASF. Rosa with a rana and dropkick to ASF. Takedown to Gringo. Double wrist lock throw exists them both. Brayden in, hung up on the ropes and eating dropkicks from Rosa. Lee has a dropkick for her too as Calvin renters the fray. Big pounce to Lee. Gringo and ASF fair no better. Dante and Llyod gets Tankman out of there with a DDT. Dante and Llyod going at it, Leon with a flip cutter and twisting dive to the outside. Gringo ready on the apron, moonsault to the floor. Rosa to the top! Corkscrew dive to the pile of opponents! Lee offers with a twister to the floor! The crowd wants Tankman to dive. ASF with a dropkick and popped up and over to the floor. ASF back in to spike a DDT to Big Cal. Lee and ASF to the top…..Lee with a rana to ASF into Gringo! Calvin with a backbreaker to ASF. Lee with some kicks that stun Tankman. He tries a poisonrana but Tankman doesn’t take it full. Shotgun drop kick from ASF. Rosa and ASF battling, big german to Rosa. Llyod with a styles clash to ASF as Leon comes off with a cutter. Lee with a somersault senton breaks up the pin! Lee shooting star to the floor, Tankman catches him and throws him into the front row. Gringo wipes out Calvin with a dive. Rosa to the top, rana to Gringo on the floor! Back in the ring, Jimmy Llyod catches ASF with a spinning dominator into a piledriver for the pin. All spots, all hots, this was fun. 

Winner: Jimmy Lloyd

Match 6: Second Gear Crew (AJ Gray, Mance Warner & Matthew Justice) vs Deathmatch Warriors (AKIRA, G-Raver & Alex Colon)

AKIRA shows no fear and chops AJ before fighting all of SGC. He ducks some wild punches before Mancer blasts a spinebuster. Mance holds him for Gray to hit a flying beck kick. SGC giving AKIRA a solid beating through multiple quick tags but the Death Samurai still has fight in him. Gray with a spinebuster. Justice with a vertical suplex. SGC running hot and confident as they pound AKIRA with a chair on the outside. G-Rave and Colon are bewilderingly staying on the apron while their partner takes this beating. They FINALLY intercept and brawl with SGC on the floor. Colon guts Mance with a shelf. Colon hit with a chair. Akira hitting Gray with a series of kicks against the ring post. Justice with a chair on the top, and blasts AKIRA off his partners shoulder on the floor. A hardcore device, as it were. Time to put a door on some chairs. Justice walking down AKIRA in the ring, stepping on his ankle and keeping him in place. They try a triple powerbomb but AKIRA escapes, and gets Colon in. Akira with a pele kick to Gray and Deathmatch Warriors own the ring. Triple suicide dive to the front row! Justice fighting out of a triple team….eats a flying knee/german combo for two. Colon flying out with a ddt to Mancer. Gray eats a backstabber and AKIRA holds him for dives from G-Raver and Colon. Akira holds him up for a triple team Hart Attack. Akira with an inverted cradle to Gray and he eats a double dropkick. Akira with the inverted choke…SGC is cut off from Gray but they suplex AKIRA’s partners into him to break the hold finally. Everyone throwing forearms back and forth. Colon with headbutts but Gray rebounds with the BBC. Akira eats a Total Elimination. Double chokeslam to G-Raver! Setting up more wood in the ring. G-Raver super plexes through the door. Colon sents himself and Gray crashes through the door at ringside. Akira comes off the top with a senton but hits nothing. Justice and Mancer with a senton, knee strike to put AKIRA away. Absolute car crash of a fight here. 

Winners: Second Gear Crew

Mance Warner grabs the mic to remind everyone that him and Justice hold the GCW tag team gold and there’s no team who could step to the SGC. Hit the music? THE BRISCO BROTHERS?!?! Jay & Mark Brisco blow through the curtain to a great ovation and go head to head with Warner and Justice. Huge “HOLY S***” chant. Briscoes on the mic. They want their shot. The Second Gear Crew is more than happy to oblige. “TOMORROW” chants the crowd.
