WWE SMACKDOWN REPORT: NEW CHALLENGERS . . . OR ARE THEY OLD CHALLENGERS, WHAT HAPPENS IN VEGAS IS USED IN A VIDEO SEGMENT, KO DOES COMMENTARY, AND MORE

We begin with a look back at the match that was not and the match that 'kind of was' for the Smackdown Women's Championship at SummerSlam.

We are in North Little Rock, Arkansas and your announcers are Michael Cole, Corey Graves, and Kevin Owens. .

Kevin and Corey have some words about their seating options tonight and Kevin complains that Corey got a better chair even though Corey is Raw and Kevin is Smackdown, and Kevin points out that he has a tie.

Smackdown Women's Champion Becky Lynch makes her way to the ring.

Becky says the Man is back in Little Rock.  She says it is good to be back and to be back on top.  Becky says she misses you guys.  She says when she had to give up her Raw title a year and a half ago, it was one of the hardest thing she had to do.  She felt she was giving up her identity but she has fought back every day to get back to the top.  Now she has a new life and a new set of priorities.  If you thought I was dangerous before, wait til you see how deadly I will be.

Becky mentions SummerSlam and the crowd starts to boo.  Becky says there has been a lot of controversy and people have called what I did underhanded.  Becky says she is sorry . . . for absolutely nothing.  Becky says it is all about timing.  All I needed was an opportunity because if you didn't think I was planning this every day, you don't know about my career.

Bianca Belair makes her way to the ring and she is dancing around even though she is going to be face to face with the woman who took her title.

Bianca says she is not here to make excuses because that is not her style.  If you think I am okay with what happened at SummerSlam?  uh uh.  I am the one working too hard and too long for you to come in and erase all that in 26 seconds.  You want to talk about timing.  I accepted your last minute challenge, so why not you and me tonight for the title.

Zelina Vega's music plays and she comes out and says that Bianca is reduced to crying for a rematch.  Zelina says that Bianca should go to the back of the line.  You should let me have that match with Becky.

Carmella comes out.and she needs the two of you to move out of the way because Becky should be facing the Most Beautiful Woman in WWE.  They told me one hour before my match that I was Sasha's replacement. I couldn't get my hair, nails, or makeup ready.

Liv Morgan comes out and she says she doesn't understand why these two belong in the title picture because they get beaten week after week after week.  Becky, if you are looking for a contender, I am right here.

Carmella says it must be a nice change of pace for you in the ring because you have been in catering for the last two months.

Bianca says you three have lost your damn minds.  This is between me and the Man.  Let's give the people the match they want and do it tonight.

Becky says no and leaves the ring.

Bianca with a forearm to Zelina and Carmella hits Bianca from behind.  Liv sends Carmella to the floor.  Carmella and Zelina pull Bianca off the apron and then Liv knocks Zelina and Carmella off the apron.

We go to IMPROMPTU MATCH? after this commercial break.

Match Number One:  Carmella versus Zelina Vega versus Liv Morgan versus Bianca Belair in an Elimination Match

Carnella and Bianca are in the ring and Carmella with a cross body and Belair rolls through and hits a suplex.  Bianca does a curl with Zelina and presses her over her head and sends Zelina face first to the mat.  Belair knocks Morgan off the apron when she goes for a springboard moonsault on Vega.  Belair gets Vega up for a slam but Carmella grabs Bianca's hair and holds her for Vega to kick Belair.  Carmella with a bronco buster and Carmella and Vega get a near fall.  Morgan with a drop kick to Vega but Carmella sends Morgan into the turnbuckles.  Carmella with a figure four head scissors.  Vega mises a splash into the corner and Vega with a sunset flip bomb followed by a kick.  Carmella rolls up Vega for a near fall.

Vega yells at Carmella for trying to win the match and then they push each other.  Bianca clotheslines Vega and Belair sends Carmella to the floor.  Belair with KOD to Vega for the three count.

Zelina Vega Eliminated

Belair goes to the floor and she choo choo chooses Mogan to send back into the ring but Carmella sends Belair into the ringside barrier.  Morgan with a springboard flatliiner for the three count.

Carmella Eliminated

We go to commercial.

We are back and Morgan with a reverse chin lock.  We see footage from the break when Carmella pulled Morgan to the floor and sent her into the ring steps.  Carmella gave Bianca a super kick.  Morgan with a sunset flip for a near fall.  Bianca with a shoulder tackle.  Bianca with a drop kick and shoulder in the corner.  Morgan with an Irish whip and Bianca goes to the turnbuckles and taunts Morgan.  Morgan with a knee and Morgan with a handstand head scissors into a rana.  Morgan with a springboard double stomp to the back for a near fall.  

Morgan with a drop toe hold to send Belair into the turnbuckles.  Morgan misses the springboard double stomp and Belair with a spinebuster for a near fall.  Morgan with a kick and Belair blocks a springboard flatliner.  Belair goes for a delayed vertical suplex but Morgan with a jumping face buster for a near fall.  Morgan is propelled into the turnbuckles and Belair gets Morgan up for a power bomb but drops Morgan on the turnbuckles.  Belair with KOD for the three count.

Winner:  Bianca Belair

We see Paul Heyman walking in the back and Kayla ambushes Paul outside Roman's dressing room.  Kayla asks Paul where does he stand now that Brock is back.

Paul tells Ms. Braxton he stands where he always stands.  Right behind and kind of to the side of my Tribal Chief Roman Reigns.  Paul says he needs to help the champion prepare for his family celebration.

Paul tries to go into Roman's dressing room and the door is locked.

We go to commercial.

We take a look back at the main event of SummerSlam.

Paul Heyman is still outside Roman's dressing room and Kayla shows up next to Paul.  He asks if she has anything better to do.  If she has anyone to stalk or harass.

Jimmy and Jey Uso come out and ask Paul if he has been out here the whole time.  Jey says that Big Uce isn't here and he wants to know if Paul knew that Brock would be at SummerSlam.

Paul says no and he asks why would he tear down everything that they have worked to build up.  It makes no sense.  Paul swears on everything that is holy that he didn't know that Brock was coming. 

Jimmy wants to know why did Paul send them back to the locker room before the match with Cena.

Paul says it was the Tribal Chief who sent them back..

Jimmy and Jey go back into the dressing room and leave Paul outside.

Match Number Two:  Chad Gable (with Otis) versus Cesaro

Cesaro with a European uppercut and Irish whips followed by European uppercuts.  Gable gets to the apron when Cesaro sets for the giant swing.  Gable drops Cesaro's arm on the top rope.  Gable with an arm drag and a knee drop to the arm for a near fall.  Gable with an arm bar.  Gable with an arm trapped Northern Lights suplex for a near fall.  Gable with a moonsault for a near fall.  Gable with a triangle in the ropes and he lets go before the five count.  Cesaro with an uppercut and a Frankensteiner.  Cesaro with a Giant Swing and Otis attacks Cesaro and the referee calls for the bell.

Winner:  Cesaro (by disqualification)

After the match, Otis with a clothesline while Gable hits a German suplex.  Otis goes to the turnbuckles and hits a splash.

Kayla Braxton is outside the building waiting to ambush Roman Reigns' arrival.

A Bentley drives up and Baron Corbin emerges and he has Andrade's hat.

Corbin says he is happy again.  He asks if you have been following his social media.  He says he is filthy rich and he is happy.

We go to commercial.
