WWE NXT REPORT: NORTH AMERICAN CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH, MORE MATCHES FOR NEW YEAR'S EVIL, BALOR AND KYLE FACE TO FACE, RHEA AND RAQUEL . . . FRACTURED FRIENDSHIP, AND MORE

We begin with a graphic in Memory of Jon Huber.

We are at the Capitol Wrestling Centre and your announcers are Wade Barrett, Vic Joseph, and Beth Phoenix.

Match Number One:  Isaiah Scott versus Bronson Reed

They lock up and Reed with a side head lock.  Reed holds on to the side head lock when Scott tries to send him off the ropes.  Reed with a side head lock take down.  Scott with an arm bar submission but Reed escapes and rolls onto Scott's legs.  Reed clotheslines Scott over the top rope to the floor.  Reed goes to the apron and hits a shoulder tackle.  Reed sends Scott back into the ring and Scott backs into the corner.  Scott holds his shoulder and the referee keeps Reed away.  Scott with a shoulder to Reed and a drop kick.  Scott goes to the apron and kicks Reed on the floor.  Scott gets a near fall.  

Scott with a Europan uppercut to the back for a near fall.  Reed with a forearm and Scott backs Reed into the corner.  Reed with forearms and he gets Scott up for a power bomb but Scott with punches and a flip off the turnbuckles.  Scott with a European uppercut and a drop kick to the knee.  Scott with a rolling flatliner for a near fall.  Scott with a knee bar and he chokes Reed and gets a near fall.  Reed kicks Scott away.  Scott with punches and kicks.  Reed grabs Scot by the throat but Scott escapes and goes for a sunset flip but Reed drops down and gets a near fall.  

Reed with forearms to Scott and a running back elbow.  Reed with a splash into the corner and a uranage for a near fall.  Scott with a head butt to Reed.  Reed with a body block and seated splash.  Reed goes up top and he hits the frog splash for the three count.

Winner:  Bronson Reed

We go to William Regal and he has the award for Breakout Star of the Year.  The winner is Shotzi Blackheart.

We see Shotzi Blackheart and she says from the Royal Rumble to hosting Halloween Havoc to leading an army into War Games, it has been a great year.  She was taught by her dad to take care of business.  She will let the good times roll into the new year.

We go to commercial.

We are back and we see Leon Ruff entering the building earlier today with Jake Atlas.

We then see Johnny Gargano enter with Candice LeRae, Indi Hartwell, and Austin Theory.  Johnny sees a black cat in the hallway and he tells the cat to stop mocking him.

Match Number Two:  Fandango and Tyler Breeze versus James Drake and Zack Gibson

Drake and Breeze start things off.  Drake with a side head lock take down.  Breeze with an arm bar into a wrist lock.  Fandango tags in and he connects with a shoulder tackle.  Fandango with an arm drag into an arm bar.  Drake with a knee and Gibson tags in and he tries to slam Fandango but Fandango gets to his feet.  Fandango with a hip toss into a side head lock.  

We are told that the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic returns in two weeks.

Fandango gets a near fall and then he tags in Breeze.  Drake absorbs the impact on the Irish whip and Gibson with a clothesline.  Drake tags in and punches Breeze.  Drake with a snap mare and knee to the back.  Breeze escapes a suplex attempt and Fandango tags in and he punches Drake and Gibson many times.  Fandango with a reverse atomic drop and clothesline to Drake.  Gibson wiht a kick and Fandango goes for a sunset flip but Drake holds Gibson.  Breeze drop kicks Drake and Fandango gets a near fall.  Drake sends Fandango into the fencing and Gibson gets a near fall.  Breeze drop kicks Gibson and Drake.  Fandango off the scaffolding onto Drake and Gibson as we go to commercial.

We are back and Drake with a pescado to send Fandango onto Gibson for an atomic drop to the knee.  Gibson slams the leg into the ringside barrier and they return to the ring.  Gibson stands between Fandango and Breeze and Gibson works on the leg.  Fandango with a back elbow and Gibson with a dragon screw off the turnbuckles for a near fall.  Gibson gets another near fall.  Gibson grabs the leg to stop the tag attempt.  Gibson with a slam that sends the leg off the ropes.  Drake tags in and Fandango kicks Drake into the ringside barrier.  Gibson tags in and he grabs Fandango to stop the tag.  Fandango goes through the legs and tags in Breeze.

Breeze with a forearm and kick followed by a drop kick.  Breeze with forearms in the corner to Drake and Gibson.  Drake makes the tag and Breeze clotheslines Drake over the top rope and Gibson goes to the floor.  Breeze misses a pescado but lands on his feet.  Gibson and Drake with forearms.  Fandango takes care of Gibson.  Breeze with a kick to Drake but Gibson sends Fandango into the ring steps and Breeze has no one to tag in.  Gibson tags in and Breeze with kicks but he has a super kick blocked.  Gibson and Drake hit Ticket to Mayhem for the three count.

Winners;  Zack Gibson and James Drake

After the match, Ever Rise come out and yell that they want The Grizzled Young Veterans but Parker and Martel are 'held back' by the referee.

The referee has had enough with Ever Rise and she goes to the back.  Ever Rise quickly follows the referee to the back.

It is time for the Tag Team of the Year.  The winners are Undisputed Era.

Kyle says this is the third year in a row.  They say it never ends.  Cole says they have run things for years.  They are not slowing down.  Adam says the Undisputed Era will be represented by Adam Cole and Roderick Strong in the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.  They have another tournament to win.

Cole suggests that NXT should give them four awards at some point.

We go to commercial.

We are back with more of the Boa Torture Session.  We see Xia Li and Boa training.  

We see David Lo Pan about to talk to them but he is stopped by the Higher Power.  Boa and Xia are given marks on their faces and smoke is blown onto them.  They are led into the light.  They will be on next week.

Match Number Three:  Mercedes Martinez versus Valentina Feroz

Martinez with a forearm that sends Feroz into the turnbuckles.  Martinez with an arm wringer and Martinez with a choke slam.  Martinez chokes Feroz in the ropes.  Martinez goes for a suplex but Valentina lands on her feet and she locks in a sleeper but Martinez is able to escape.  Martinez with a spinebuster and she pie faces Feroz.  Martinez gets Feroz up but Feroz tries for a sunset flip.  Martinez blocks the sunset flip and sends Feroz to the mat.  Martinez with an Air Raid Crash for the three count.

Winner:  Mercedes Martinez

Martinez says that all of you are on her radar.

The winner of Female Competitor of the Year is Io Shirai.

Io thanks everyone who voted for her.  She says the women's division is so talented.  She thanks everyone for voting her best of the best.

The Male Competitor of the Year is Adam Cole.

Adam says he said he would win it again last year.  He said he would be the longest reigning champion and he was.  He could not have done it without the Undisputed Era.  When Kyle wins the NXT Championship next week, it will mean even more.

Roderick Strong walks in the back.

We see Pete Dunne in the back.
