WWE SMACKDOWN REPORT: THREE TITLE MATCHES, AN ENTRANT IN THE ROYAL RUMBLE, AND MORE ON CHRISTMAS

We are back and Bayley with a front face lock in the ropes on Asuka. Asuka with a missile drop kick for a near fall. Carmella tags in and kicks Asuka. Asuka is sent into the turnbuckles. Carmella with a bronco buster and she gets a near fall. Carmella with a rear chin lock. Carmella with a suplex and Carmella gets a near fall. Bayley tags in and kicks Asuka in the corner and follows with punches. Carmella tags in and she kicks Asuka. Bayley tags back in and they choke Asuka in the corner. Charlotte comes in and the referee deals with her while Carmella and Bayley choke Asuka.

Bayley with a hip strike to Asuka. Asuka with a shoulder and Bayley with a punch. Carmella tags in and Asuka with punches but Carmella sends Asuka to the mat. Bayley tags in and she kicks Asuka but Asuka with a punch. Bayley with a reverse chin lock. Asuka with a pop up knee to Bayley. Bianca tags in and she connects with shoulder tackles followed by a drop kick. Bianca with shoulders in the corner. Bianca with kicks and then she hits a delayed vertical suplex on Bayley for a near fall.

Sasha with a knee to Carmella and then Sasha goes for a cross body on Charlotte but Charlotte catches her and hits a fallaway slam. Bianca with a Glam Slam to Charlotte.

Bayley with a rollup on Bianca for a near fall. Bianca with a spinebuster for a near fall. Sasha tags in and hits a frog splash for the three count.

Bayley and Carmella eliminated

Sasha and Charlotte square off and Sasha with a La Mistica into the Banks Statement. Charlotte gets to her feet and Sasha blocks a kick. Charlotte blocks a knee and Sasha with a rollup for a near fall. Sasha with a kick and Charlotte with a running boot and she sets for the figure four leg lock and locks it in. Bianca gives Sasha her hair to allow Sasha to pull herself closer to the ropes and Bianca tags in.

Biacna with a handspring moonsault for a near fall. Bianca goes up top but Charlotte with a boot to the leg. Bianca with an inside cradle for a near fall.  Charlotte sets for the figure four and she locks it in. Sasha with Meteora to Charlotte to get her to release the hold. Asuka tags in and she gives Sasha a Hip Attack and Sasha knocks Reginald down. Bayley distracts Bianca and Asuka with a rollup for a near fall. Asuka with kicks and Bianca blocks a round kick and gets Asuka up for a power bomb and hits it for a near fall.

Bianca looks for Sasha on the apron but Bayley shows Bianca that Sasha is down. Bianca goes for a suplex but Asuka escapes and Charlotte tags in. Asuka with a Codebreaker followed by Natural Selection from Charlotte for the three count.

Winners: Charlotte Flair and Asuka (Retain Championship)

We go to the back with the Street Profits. Montez asks Dawkins if he is ready. This episode is far from over. Angelo mentions Daniel Bryan versus Jey Uso and Big E versus Sami Zayn.

Sami Zayn shows up and he says he wants answers. He wants to know who set up the Lumberjack Match. Sami sees Montez and Angelo. He says he is under a lot of pressure to defend the title in a Lumberjack Match.

Montez says he has a gift for Sami and Sami is surprised. Sami apologizes for being rude and he says he is under a lot of pressure. They give him a shirt that says “I Was the Intercontinental Champion”.

Sami walks away.

Daniel Bryan goes to the ring and Jey Uso attacks Daniel Bryan on the ramp and sends him into the Christmas tree on the stage. Jey with kicks to Bryan while officials try to separate them and Jey with a kick to the ribs. Jey with a slam on the ramp and officials are finally able to get Jey away from Daniel.

We go to commercial.

We are back and the referee checks on Daniel on the floor. Daniel struggles to get back into the ring and he starts the match.

Match Number Three: Jey Uso versus Daniel Bryan

Jey with punches and forearms as the bell rings. Jey with kicks and he sends Bryan to the floor. Jey with a suicide dive that sends Bryan into the ringside barrier. Jey sends Bryan into the ring steps and returns to the ring. Jey breaks the count and he sends Bryan into the other ring steps. Jey sends Bryan into the ring.

Jey with a slam. Jey with a chop to Bryan. Jey chops Bryan in the corner. Bryan with chops and kicks. Jey with an Irish whip and Bryan flips out of the corner. Jey with a Samoan drop for a near fall. Jey punches Bryan and takes Bryan down with a leg sweep. Jey with a slam and he misses a diving head butt. Bryan misses a running drop kick into the corner and Jey with a running hip into the corner. Jey with a kick but Bryan sends Jey over the top rope to the floor and Jey holds his left ankle.

Bryan goes for a suicide dive but he overshoots Jey and hits the announce table.  

Bryan sends Jey back into the ring and Bryan goes up top but Jey crotches Bryan. Jey sets for a superplex but Bryan goes under and crotches Jey. Bryan with elbows to Jey on the turnbuckles followed by a belly-to-back superplex.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Jey punches Bryan. Bryan with punches and European uppercuts. Jey with a forearm and Bryan with kicks. Bryan with a dragon screw leg whip. Bryan wrings the leg into the ring post a few times. Bryan with punches and he wrings the leg into the post again. Bryan with a kick to the back of the leg to send Jey to the mat.

Bryan with a running drop kick into the corner. Bryan puts Jey’s leg in the ropes and he kicks Jey. Bryan with a drop kick to the leg. Bryan puts Jey on the turnbuckles and he sets for a Frakensteiner and hits it. Bryan gets a near fall. Bryan with kicks to the chest and back. Bryan misses a round kick and Jey with an enzuigiri. Bryan runs into a clothesline from Jey. Jey gets a near fall. Jey goes for a belly-to-back suplex and Bryan lands on his feet. Bryan counters a Samoan drop into a crucifix for a near fall.

Bryan with a round kick and he sets for the flying knee but he runs into a super kick. Jey with another super kick and Jey goes up top for a splash and hits it but Jey cannot make the cover due to the damage done to his knee. Bryan is able to kick out at two. Jey goes back to the apron and goes up top. Jey comes off the turnbuckles with a splash and Bryan gets his knees up. Bryan with the LeBell Lock and Jey is able to escape. Bryan with a single leg crab.

ey gets to the ropes to force a break. Jey kicks Bryan in the head while he holds on to the ropes. Jey with forearms and punches. Bryan rolls Jey over and connects with forearms and punches. Jey with punches and forearms. The referee checks on Bryan to see if he is conscious. Jey misses a super kick and Bryan with the flying knee for the three count.

Winner: Daniel Bryan

We see Big E in the back as we go to commercial.

We are back and Kayla Braxton is with Daniel Bryan.  She congratulates him on his victory and asks what is next.

Daniel says he has new goals to achieve and there is one thing he has never done that he would like to do.  He has never won a Royal Rumble.  This is the mountain I am going to put everything in to climb.  I am entering the 2021 Royal Rumble Match.

Sami Zayn shows up and he talks about being ambushed by the New Day and you have have it out for me since day one.  You make me want to defend the title.  Now I have to defend the title and it is a lumberjack match because of you.  You stooged me out.  I won't do anything, but karma will get you.  I will win tonight and then I will polish my two Sami Awards all night long.

Karma will get you at the Royal Rumble and when it does, I will be laughing at you.

Daniel tells Kayla it looks like Sami didn't get a PS5, if that is what the kids are asking for.

The lumberjacks make their way to the ring.

Match Number Four: Big E versus Sami Zayn for the Intercontinental Championship in a Lumberjack Match

They lock up and they go around the ring until Sami gets into the ropes. They lock up again and Big E backs Zayn into the ropes. Zayn with a waist lock and Big E with a back drop and he gets a near fall. Zayn with a kick and side head lock. Big E with a back elbow and he charges into the corner but Zayn with a drop toe hold that sends Big E into the corner. Zayn kicks Big E to the floor in front of the heels and they work over Big E before he is sent back into the ring.

Zayn sends Big E back to the floor in front of the heels and they works over Big E again. Zayn gets a near fall when Big E returns to the ring. Zayn goes for a suplex but Big E with a rollup for a near fall. Big E with a stretch muffler and Zayn gets to the ropes and rolls to the floor in front of the faces. They surround Zayn and Big E brings Zayn back onto the apron but Zayn drops Big E on the apron and sends Big E into the turnbuckles. Big E clotheslines Zayn on the apron and Big E with a kick and misses the splash on the apron and falls to the floor. Big E fights off the heel lumberjacks.

Zayn with a flip dive onto Big E.

We go to commercial.

We are back and Zayn chokes Big E in the ropes. Zayn takes off his shirt and throws it at Big E. Zayn with punches and Big E with an overhead belly-to-belly suplex followed by a second one. Big E goes for a belly-to-belly suplex but Zayn blocks it. Big E runs into boots and then he goes for the Helluva Kick but Big E counters with a UranagE for a near fall. Big E waits for Zayn to get back to his feet and Big E tries for a Big Ending but Zayn goes to the floor and he is grabbed by the face lumberjacks and rolled into the ring.

Zayn grabs the ring skirt and the referee is distracted. Zayn with a rake of the eyes and a rollup for a near fall. Zayn is sent over the top rope and Zayn with a knee to stop a spear by Big E. Zayn goes up top and Big E with punches. Zayn with forearms and a sunset flip power bomb for a near fall. Zayn misses a Helluva Kick and Zayn goes to the apron. Big E with a spear through the ropes to the floor.

Big E is sent back into the ring by the heel lumberjacks but Zayn is able to get away from the face lumberjacks and it is lumberjack civil war. Zayn is able to get away from the scuffle at ringside but Apollo Crews tackles Zayn and the face lumberjacks carry Zayn back to the ring.

Big E with a belly-to-belly suplex followed by a Warrior Splash and Big Ending for the three count.

Winner: Big E (New Champion)

After the match, Big E goes to Corey Graves and tells him the prophecy has been fulfilled and he thanks Corey.

Big E is in the ring with the face Lumberjacks and they celebrate Big E’s win as confetti fills the ringside area.
