NO HOLDS BARRED: Alex Reynolds & John Sterling vs. Anthony Greene & Ava Everett.
Greene and Everett attacked them before the bell and nailed stereo superkicks. They hit stereo dives on opposite sides of the ring, then worked over Reynolds and Sterling on the floor. It was all Greene and Ava early on. Everett went to whip Reynolds into a chair wedged in the buckles but Reynolds reversed it. Reynolds drove the chair down into his chest. He drilled Greene with a kick to the face but was hit with a drop toehold into a chair. Greene nailed Sterling but was caught and suplexed onto the open chair for a two count.
Reynolds and Sterling used the ropes to hold and stand a door up. They grabbed Greene and prepared to press and slam him into the door but Ava hit the ring and worked them over with chairshots to the back. She told Reynolds he was going to "f**ing die" and went for a Canadian Destroyer on a chairt but Sterling got involved. She tossed a chair in his face and went to chokeslam him. Reynolds broke that up and went to use a move but Everett turned that back into the Canadian Destroyer on the chair. She covered Reynolds but he apparently grabbed the rope. Sterling kicked her off the apron onto a row of chairs that were set up but she popped up and chokeslammed him off the apron through the chairs. She buried him under the chairs. Everett showed some nice fire throughout.
Back in the ring, she charged Reynolds but he kicked her off Greene nailed a reverse crossbody off the top and a superkick on Reynolds. He placed a chair between Reynolds' legs and smashed it with another chair. No babies tonight for the Reynolds bloodline. Greene and Everett looked for something under the ring - it was chairs. They began piling them in the ring. Fans began handing them chairs over the guard rails. They went to the top but Sterling knocked Greene off the ropes to the floor. They superplexed Everett onto the chairs and she looked out of it but still kicked up at the last second.
Greene made a comeback and sent Sterling hard into the door over and over before it finally smashed in half. Reynolds flung a chair at him. He placed a door across two chairs. The referee helped him, which looked so dumb. He grabbed Everett and carried her to the top rope with the idea of doing something dastardly to her. Greene returned to the ring and lowblowed Reynolds. Everett grabbed him and chokeslammed him off the top through the door and scored the pin.
Your winners, Anthony Greene & Ava Everett!
The crowd seemed to enjoy all of this. The door spots were pretty damn brutal and I can respect the hell ouf of Sterling for taking those bumps. Everett showed some good fire and the crowd really got behind her. Reynolds is always good and this was a chance for Greene to showcase himself beyond his usual character-based bouts. This was exactly what this audience wanted.
CZW Wired Champion Jordan Oliver vs. AR Fox.
The story is that if Oliver gets past Fox, he will be the longest reigning Wired Champion in CZW history in just two days.
Very fast paced action with Fox doing some really great gymnastic feats to avoid big moves, including going into a handstand to escape a cutter. They faced off. Oliver backed off and went to the floor, stalling. Fox blocked a hiptoss and nailed a thrust to the sternum and nailed a rolling kick to the back of the head. Fox nailed a leaping clothesline into the corner and used the ropes for leverage with a mule kick. He went for a slingshot splash but Oliver avoided it and he crashed down on his back. Oliver nailed a kick to the beack of the head, sending him to the floor. Oliver went for a dive but got caught up in the ropes and lost his momentum. Fox still went back into the barricades and Oliver maintained control, sending him into the apron.
Fox, limping, tried to get distance between himself and Oliver but was whipped into the barricade and nailed with a dropkick in the corner on the floor. Oliver tossed him into the ring. Fox was hopping on one leg, hurting. Oliver continued to work him over, chopping and kicking at Fox. Fox nailed a series of punches. Oliver went for a slingshot back splash into the ring but Fix avoided it and used the ropes to smash down on Oliver. That was cool stuff. Fox nailed a back elbow and nailed a leaping kick, sending Oliver to the floor. YDNB came to ringside, so Fox hit a dive, wiping them all out. The referee yelled at them to leave.
Fox hit a big coast to coast dropkick from one side of the ring to the other, drilling Oliver with boots to the face, sending him to the floor. Oliver was brought back in and hit with a senton atomico off the top for a close two count. Fox, still hiurting, nailed several kicks and came off the ropes with a cutter for another two count as Oliver grabbed the bottom rope. Oliver caught him out of nowhere with a small package for a two count. Oliver snapped him with a spinkick to the chin and scored another two count. Fox came back with another kick. Oliver tried to come off the top to the outside but was superkicked in mid-air. Oliver caught Fox and nailed a tombstone on the apron.
Oliver, back in the ring, went for a package piledriver and nailed it. Fox kicked up, which Oliver was shocked at. Oliver tried to head up top but Fox grabbed his leg. He kicked Fox off, but missed his move. Fox nailed a series of running big boots to the face. Fox nailed a running, leaping third kick to the face after psyching himself up. He went for another but Oliver throttled him for another two count. Oliver went to the top but Fox caught him and nailed a hanging German off the top, then hit a big 450 splash off the top for the pin. The crowd exploded for that.
Your winner and new CZW Wired Champion, AR Fox!
A good athletic showcase.
CZW Tag Team Champions The Rep (Nate Carter & Dave McCall) vs. Bear Country (Bear Bronson & Bear Boulder)
Carter and Boulder started, battling with Boulder using his power to get the early advantage. McCall and Bronson tagged in. Bronson caught him with a suplex early. McCall came back with knee strikes. It quickly broke down into all four brawing. They battled on the floor. McCall went to dropkick one of the Bears on the floor, but he moved and a big "fan" was wiped out. Lots of brawling and throwing each other into barricades. Theh made their way back into the ring, where Bear Country worked over McCall for some time. Carter piulled down the ropes, sending Boulder to the floor.
McCall fired back with some big moves on Bronson. The Rep tried to set up for a double team move but Boulder returned to Pounce McCall out of the picture. Boulder missed a moonsault on Carter, who rolled out of the way. McCall returned to kick Boulder with a high kick to the side of the head. The Rep hit their finisher but Bronson broke up the pinfall. Everyone battled. Carter and Boulder hit big headbutts on the other, almost knocking the other out. Boulder powerbombed McCall into his own partner againsdt the buckles. Bear Country wiped out the Rep with a double cannonball. They covered Carter, who somehow kicked up. Bear Boulder took them both out. This is a great freaking showcase of Boulder's power.
The Bears set up to a double decker splash but McCall rolled away, setting them up for Carter to come off the top with a Doomsday Device. The Rep hit the Flim Flam, their finisher, and scored the pin.
Your winners and still CZW Tag Team Champions, The Rep!
For two bigger guys, Bear Country were really impressive and did a LOT. The Rep always have flashes of great moments and these teams will only get better with age. I feel like this match was placed far too late on the card and would have been better suited as an earlier bout. There was a lot of really creative stuff here, perhaps way too much, but I think the crowd was tired after the big AR Fox moment. This would have been better served way earlier on the card.
