RevPro British Heavyweight Champion Zack Sabre Jr. vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi.

TAKA Michinoku said Zack would take out Tanahashi.

Some really good back and forth wrestling early on with Zack working over his arm.    Tanahashi drilled him with an elbow and came off the ropes with a bodypress for a two count.   He went for a back senton splash but Sabre snatched him in an armbar.     Tanahashi fought back but was clotheslined over the top.  He went to skin the cat but as he pulled himself up, Sabre caught him in a head scissors.  Sabre continued the assault on Tanahashi and began manipulating his arm.  Tanahashi fired back with a right hand but Sabre kicked him in the shoulder.

Tanahashi made a comeback and hit a pump handle slam.  They battled to the ropes, where Sabre was caught and hit with a Dragon Screw Legwhip.    Sabre cut off his momentum and tied up on the mat with a guillotine choke.  Tanahashi was able to reverse it into a Texas Cloverleaf but Sabre made it to the ropes.  Tanahashi nailed a big bulldog.    He ascended to the top for a frog splash.  Sabre tried to fight him off and snatched him arm for a hammerlock on the ropes, pulled him down and snapping the arm on the ropes.

They continued going back and forth.  Tanahashi used the Backlund Bridge for a pinfall.  Sabre turned it into an cross armbreaker.  Tanahashi continued to fight back.  He went for a Dragon suplex but Sabre slipped out and tied him up like a pretzel.  Sabre torqued his arm back in a sickening position, trying to force a submission and finally Tanahashi tapped.  WOW. I didn't see that one coming.

Your winner and still Rev Pro Champion Zack Sabre Jr.!

Really great technical display here.  Sabre is just aces.

IWGP Intercontinental Champion Tetsuya Naito vs. Kota Ibushi.

The crowd chanted "Holy sh**" at the bell.

Some awesome back and forth action early on with Ibushi’s speed and intensity forcing the laid back Naito to have to step up his game.  Ibushi went for a move in the corner but had his legs swept and was hit with a sliding dropkick off the apron to the floor.

Naito followed to the floor and sent Ibushi into the barricade.  Ibushi was tossed into the first row.  Naito brought him into the ring and worked him over.  He kicked Ibushi down in the corner and used the ropes to hit a swinging mule kick to the face for another two count.

Ibushi cut off Naito with a dropkick as he rebounded off the ropes.  Ibushi unloaded with a series of kicks and hit a standing moonsault for a two count.  The crowd chanted for him.  Naito came back with a big kick that flipped Ibushi upside down for another near fall.   Naito continued beating on Ibushi and placed him on the top rope.   He appeared to be setting up a top rope rana but Ibushi fought him off.  Naito attempted again but Ibushi slipped underneath and flipped backwards with a kick.

Naito ended up on the apron outside, where Ibushi tried to dead lift him backwards into the ring.  Naito nailed him and pulled him over onto the apron.  He kicked Ibushi away, but Ibushi charged and leapt into an awesome rana to the floor.  That was great.  The crowd chanted "Mama Mia!"  They returned to the ring, where Ibushi hit an awesome double stomp for a two count.  This is such a good match thus far.

Naito came off the ropes with a great tornado DDT for a near fall.   He continued wrecking Ibushi and scoring near falls.  Ibushi came back with an evil back suplex while standing on the ropes for a CLOSE near fall.  MSG chanted "Both these guys."  Ibushi nailed a back suplex with a bridge for a two count.  Ibushi scored another near fall but Naito rolled through a move and dropped him hard on his neck and back for a two count.

They battled back and forth with punches and forearms.  They got more and more vision.  Naito spit on him and unloaded with kicks.  Ibushi had enough and began unloading with strikes but was caught with a backwards rana and Destino.  Ibushi kicked out and MSG went nuts!    Ibushi caught him with a knockout kick but was too tired to capitalize.

Ibushi came back with a series of knee strikes but Naito kept kicking up.  Ibushi hit a great sit-down powerbomb for a two count.  He KILLED Naito with an INSANE knee strike to the face and scored the pin.

Your winner and new IWGP Intercontinental Champion, Kota Ibushi!

MASSIVE roar when Ibushi was handed the title belt and cradled it in his arms.

GREAT match.  Big Ibushi chant as he left the Garden.
